Hurghada Private Boat Trip: 9 Easy Booking Checks

Coral formations beneath clear blue water

A Hurghada private boat trip gives your own group a Red Sea outing without sharing the booked speedboat with unrelated passengers. The current standard program is approximately four hours for up to six guests, including children, at €150 for the whole boat. It combines a wild-dolphin search, snorkeling and fruit and drinks; Orange Bay is optional at €10 per visiting guest.

Use the Private Speed Boat Hurghada booking page for availability and the confirmed service. This guide brings the practical rental, hire and charter questions together around that actual product. A luxury yacht, fishing charter, eight-hour trip or celebration package needs a separate offer; none should be assumed from the word private.

Program details were checked on 27 September 2026. Hurghada hotel pickup and drop-off are included, while other resort arrangements need confirmation. The four-hour boat estimate is not a guaranteed door-to-door return time.

1. What the Hurghada private boat trip includes

The published service is a private speedboat with a captain for your group of up to six. It lists dolphin searching around the Dolphin House area, snorkeling at selected reef locations, equipment and life jackets, seasonal fruit, water and soft drinks. An onboard toilet and freshwater shower are also listed.

This is a useful shorter alternative when the whole group values private boat use. It is not the same service as a large shared island boat with a full-day timetable and lunch. Compare the activities and facilities that matter to you, rather than selecting the longest list of promises.

  • Included: the listed private speedboat program, captain, snorkeling equipment, life jackets, fruit, water, soft drinks, toilet, shower and Hurghada hotel transfers.
  • Optional: Orange Bay at €10 for each guest who visits.
  • Confirm separately: outside-Hurghada transfers and any requested service not listed in the base package.
  • Not a standard inclusion: full lunch, fishing equipment, a larger yacht, decorations, professional photos or unrestricted island hopping.

A Hurghada private boat trip still operates in a shared marine environment. Your boat is private, but reefs, marinas and island areas can have other visitors. Private use also does not remove the captain’s responsibility for the route and conditions.

2. Compare the whole-boat price with per-person tickets

The base Hurghada private boat trip price is a fixed €150 for the whole speedboat, whether one guest or six guests travel. Children count within the six-guest limit. The amount does not decrease for a smaller party or increase when guests are added within that limit; selected per-visitor extras remain separate.

Private boat for 1–6 guests

€150 total for the boat. One guest, a couple or a group of up to six pays the same base amount. Children are included in the six-guest maximum. This is not €150 per person.

Four guests, all visiting Orange Bay

€190 for the boat and island add-on: €150 for the boat plus four visiting guests at €10 each. Add any separately confirmed resort transfer or selected extra.

Six guests, all visiting Orange Bay

€210 for the boat and island add-on: €150 for the boat plus six visiting guests at €10 each. Confirm each traveler’s age, hotel and any further charge before payment.

These examples separate the fixed boat cost from per-visitor extras. A smaller party still pays the €150 boat price. For a final quote, send the actual headcount, every child’s age and the number of guests selecting the island visit.

Children are included in the capacity calculation; there is no separate per-child ticket within the boat price. Do not leave an infant out of the headcount because some shared tours have a free infant fare. Give every traveler’s age and ask how any extra applies to them.

The private boat price guide covers comparison questions in more detail. Ask for one total including the exact hotel, selected extras and any applicable supplement before payment.

3. Plan a route the confirmed program can deliver

A Hurghada private boat trip allows you to discuss preferences with the crew, but it does not give unrestricted control over the sea route. Weather, travel time, operating requirements and the captain’s decisions affect which stops can be made and in what order.

The current standard program describes a dolphin search and snorkeling. Orange Bay is the specifically priced optional island visit at €10 per visitor. The current booking page does not establish Abu Minqar, Paradise, Magawish, Eden or Utopia as guaranteed included stops.

Tell the team which element matters most before booking. Adding beach time needs to fit within the agreed program; it is not automatically an extra full island excursion on top of unlimited snorkeling. Request confirmation of the chosen route and what changes if conditions prevent a particular stop.

The captain selects suitable reef locations for the day. An advertised photograph does not establish the exact reef, visibility or wildlife you will encounter. Avoid booking a Hurghada private boat trip solely on a promise of a named animal or a fixed underwater view.

4. Treat dolphin searching as a wildlife opportunity

Dolphins move freely. Searching for them is part of the program; a sighting or swimming encounter cannot be guaranteed. Choose the complete Hurghada private boat trip because its private use, reef activity and shorter duration suit you, even if no dolphins appear.

Follow the captain’s instructions and give animals space. Do not chase, touch, feed or surround dolphins to obtain a photograph. Entry into the water is a separate decision that depends on the crew’s directions and conditions, not simply on seeing an animal nearby.

A shared Dolphin House trip is another product: it offers a longer shared boat day with its own planned stops and meal arrangements. Compare that actual itinerary rather than treating a private speedboat as an identical tour with fewer people.

How the four-hour private boat program fits together

Plan the outing as a sequence rather than a fixed hour-by-hour timetable: hotel collection and marina boarding, the crew briefing, a responsible dolphin search and suitable snorkeling stops, fruit and drinks, then return to the marina and hotel. If Orange Bay is selected, confirm how its visit fits the same agreed program. The captain may adjust the order and locations for conditions; neither a full first hour of cruising nor a particular third-hour reef stop is promised.

Use protective clothing and sun protection, keep cameras secure and bring a towel. A sunscreen label does not guarantee no environmental impact or make contact with coral acceptable. Tell the crew about swimming confidence and assistance needs before activities begin.

Orange Bay is an optional paid visit, not an included stop in the €150 boat-only base price. Agree the visit and timing before booking.

5. Check the needs of all six guests, including children

For a family Hurghada private boat trip, explain the ages, swimming abilities and assistance needs of everyone in the party. The six-person maximum includes children. A smaller passenger group can make communication easier, but it does not supply childcare or establish suitability for every traveler.

Ask about boarding, seating, shade, water entry and suitable life-jacket sizes. The toilet and shower are listed facilities, but access requirements still need discussion. Do not infer step-free boarding or a particular accessible facility from a general boat photograph.

Agree who supervises children while others snorkel. An adult in the water cannot simultaneously supervise a child who remains aboard. Tell the crew if a guest plans to stay on the boat; optional participation does not automatically reduce the package price.

Snorkeling equipment does not establish that open-water activity is appropriate for every person. Explain your ability before booking and follow the briefing and crew assessment. If dry underwater viewing is the priority, compare the separate semi-submarine program and its access requirements.

6. Plan the time from your hotel and back

The Hurghada private boat trip has an approximate four-hour boat program. Transfer, boarding and coordination affect the complete outing. Send the exact hotel name, not just the resort area, and ask for the expected collection and return.

Hurghada hotel transfers are included. Other resort areas need their own confirmed arrangement and supplement; do not automatically apply €5 or €10 shared-tour transfer rates to this private service. Hotels with similar names or multiple entrances make precise pickup details important.

A preferred morning or afternoon slot is a request until confirmed. A morning departure does not guarantee calm conditions or dolphins, and private use does not guarantee that the boat can leave at any time you choose. Keep a reasonable margin before another fixed activity.

The half-day timing guide helps you compare a shorter program with your schedule. If you have a flight or other non-negotiable commitment, state it before booking instead of treating a rough duration as a return guarantee.

7. Separate the standard speedboat from special requests

Terms such as boat rental, boat hire, private charter and Hurghada private boat trip often describe the same published speedboat service. They do not by themselves establish a separate yacht, a full-day route or a different set of facilities.

If your party exceeds six guests, ask whether another specific arrangement is available. Request its vessel, capacity, duration, facilities and total in writing. Do not reserve the standard speedboat expecting the crew to accommodate extra passengers on the day.

Fishing, celebrations, flowers, cake, entertainment and special catering are not established by the standard listing. Describe your request and ask about availability and cost without assuming it will be supplied. A snorkeling booking is not a confirmed fishing charter.

Seasonal fruit and drinks are included, not a full lunch. Discuss allergies and any essential refreshments before payment. If a requested service is unavailable, decide whether the standard outing still meets your needs rather than relying on an informal promise of an upgrade.

8. Prepare for the boat and the reef

Pack for the Hurghada private boat trip activities you intend to do: swimwear and a towel if entering the water, sun protection, dry clothing and a small secure bag. Protect electronics against water and avoid unnecessary valuables or bulky luggage.

Attend the crew’s briefing, use the designated seating and follow instructions while the vessel moves. Ask the crew to check equipment fit before entering the water. Report discomfort promptly and obtain appropriate professional advice in advance for relevant health concerns.

Look at coral without touching it, standing on it or collecting marine life. Corals are animals, as the NOAA coral explanation describes. Keep hands and fins clear and follow the guide’s route rather than pursuing a photograph at the reef’s expense.

9. Book with a complete written confirmation

To request a Hurghada private boat trip, send your preferred date, an alternative if possible, exact hotel, total party size and every child’s age. Mention swimming abilities, whether Orange Bay is wanted and any essential equipment or access requirement.

Ask the confirmation to identify the private speedboat, six-guest limit, approximate boat duration, planned activities, included facilities, hotel collection, expected return and complete price. No advance deposit is required for the listed standard trip. Pay cash in euros to our representative on the trip day, at pickup before the excursion begins. Keep the confirmed total, hotel pickup time and selected extras in your booking confirmation.

Our written-quote checklist helps compare like-for-like offers. The private speedboat value guide considers when private use is worth the difference for your group.

The current cancellation and date-change policy allows a full refund for cancellation received at least 24 hours before the confirmed start. Later cancellations and no-shows are non-refundable. Timely date changes have no change fee, subject to availability, any price difference and confirmation. Deadlines use local time in Egypt.

If the company cancels, including for unsafe weather, the listed options are an available alternative date or a full refund. Read any disclosed exceptions in your confirmation. A route adjustment and an operator-cancelled tour are different situations; ask which applies rather than assuming every change has the same outcome.

Hurghada private boat trip: questions before booking

How much is a Hurghada private boat trip?

The current private speedboat base price is €150 for the whole boat, with a maximum of six guests including children. It is not €150 per person. Two guests sharing equally pay €75 each, four pay €37.50 each, and six pay €25 each. These examples divide the same boat total; there are no individual tickets or separate child fares within it. Add €10 for each guest taking the optional Orange Bay visit and any separately confirmed transfer supplement or extra.

How many people can join the private speedboat?

Up to six guests in total, including children. Give the complete party size when booking. Do not add an extra child or adult on departure day beyond the limit. A larger party needs a separately confirmed arrangement; this listing does not promise a larger yacht or unlimited capacity.

Is the boat private or shared?

The confirmed speedboat is reserved for your booked group rather than shared with unrelated ticket holders. The captain and operating crew are still part of the service. Private use does not mean an exclusive reef, empty island, unrestricted route or guaranteed freedom from other boats nearby.

How long does the outing last?

The boat program is approximately four hours. Hotel transfers, boarding and coordination affect the complete time away from your accommodation. Ask for your exact hotel’s collection and expected return before booking another activity or planning an onward connection.

What food is included?

Seasonal fruit, water and soft drinks are listed. A full lunch, buffet, cake or special catering is not part of the standard inclusions. If food arrangements are essential, ask what is possible and obtain a specific confirmation rather than assuming a private booking includes a meal.

Is Orange Bay included in the €150 base price?

No. Orange Bay is an optional add-on at €10 for each visiting guest. Arrange it before departure so it can be considered within the available time and operating conditions. It is not automatically a second full island tour, and a fixed length of beach time is not promised here.

Is Abu Minqar a guaranteed included stop?

The current booking page does not list Abu Minqar as a guaranteed standard inclusion. It describes dolphin searching, snorkeling and an optional Orange Bay visit. Follow the confirmed current program rather than older descriptions or photographs of a sandbank.

Will we definitely see or swim with dolphins?

No. The program includes looking for wild dolphins, whose location and behavior cannot be guaranteed. Choose the outing for the overall private boat and snorkeling experience. Do not chase, touch, feed or surround animals, and follow the captain’s instructions.

Can non-swimmers join without snorkeling?

Yes, staying aboard is an option on the listed program. Explain swimming ability and any assistance needs before booking. Water participation is a separate decision subject to the crew’s assessment and conditions; equipment or flotation does not automatically make it suitable for everyone.

Do children pay a separate ticket price?

The standard price is per boat, so there is no separate per-child fare within that boat price. Every child counts toward the six-guest maximum. Ask how any optional Orange Bay visit, transfer supplement or special requirement applies to each traveler before confirming the total.

Does the boat have a toilet and shower?

The current speedboat listing includes an onboard toilet and freshwater shower. Ask about access and any assistance you need rather than assuming a facility is accessible to every traveler. Photographs of another vessel should not replace the confirmed specifications of your booking.

Is snorkeling equipment included?

Yes, snorkeling equipment and life jackets are listed. Confirm suitable sizes, especially for children, and ask separately about prescription masks, wetsuits or other special items. Standard equipment wording does not establish that every specialist item is available or included.

Can we choose the route and departure time?

You can request preferences, but the confirmed departure and route depend on availability, operating arrangements, travel time and sea conditions. The captain’s decisions apply. Private use does not guarantee any requested island, an extra stop or unlimited flexibility within the four-hour program.

Can we book fishing, an eight-hour yacht or a celebration package?

Those services are not established by the standard four-hour speedboat listing. Describe the request and ask whether a separate offer is available. Do not pay on the assumption that fishing gear, a large yacht, entertainment, decorations or catering will be supplied without written confirmation.

Which hotel transfers are included?

Hurghada hotel pickup and drop-off are included. For Makadi Bay, Sahl Hasheesh, El Gouna, Soma Bay, Safaga or another area, send the full hotel name and request the arrangement and supplement. Do not copy the shared island-trip transport charges into a private booking.

What happens if weather changes the trip?

The captain may adjust a route or activity for conditions. A changed stop is not automatically a cancelled tour. If the company cancels, including for unsafe weather, the current policy offers an available alternative date or a full refund. Read the confirmed terms and any disclosed exceptions.

Can we cancel or change the date?

Cancellation received at least 24 hours before the confirmed start qualifies for a full refund under the current policy. Later cancellation and no-show are non-refundable. A date change requested at least 24 hours ahead has no change fee, subject to availability, any price difference and confirmation of the new date.

What should we send to request a booking?

Send the preferred date, an alternative if possible, the exact hotel, total guest count, every child’s age and your swimming abilities. Say whether Orange Bay is wanted and describe any essential access or equipment need. Ask for one written total, pickup details, expected return and inclusions. No advance deposit is required for the listed standard trip. Pay cash in euros to our representative on the trip day, at pickup before the excursion begins. Keep the confirmed total, hotel pickup time and selected extras in your booking confirmation.
