Hurghada Grand Aquarium: 2026 Ticket Prices

Hurghada Grand Aquarium offers families, couples, and non-swimmers an easy way to discover marine life without joining a boat trip or entering the Red Sea.

The attraction combines large aquariums, an underwater viewing tunnel, sharks, rays, colorful fish, rainforest-style areas, and a small zoo section within one visitor route. It is particularly suitable for families looking for a comfortable half-day activity away from strong sun, wind, or long boat journeys.

A visit can also provide a useful introduction to Red Sea marine life before booking snorkeling, diving, or island excursions during the rest of your Hurghada holiday.

Explore Hurghada family excursions and build a balanced itinerary combining relaxed attractions with sea and desert experiences.

Hurghada Grand Aquarium Highlights

Hurghada Grand Aquarium is designed as more than a collection of individual fish tanks. Visitors move through different marine and wildlife areas that create a varied family experience.

Hurghada Grand Aquarium Highlights

The main highlights include:

  • A walk-through underwater tunnel.
  • Shark and ray viewing areas.
  • Colorful Red Sea fish.
  • Marine habitats and themed displays.
  • Rainforest-style sections.
  • Reptile and bird areas.
  • A small zoo.
  • Family photography locations.
  • Educational information about wildlife.
  • Indoor and outdoor walking areas.

The underwater tunnel is usually the most memorable part of the visit. Fish, rays, and sharks move through the water above and around the viewing area, allowing visitors to observe marine animals without swimming.

The displays can help children recognize some of the species they may later see during a Red Sea excursion.

Hurghada Aquarium Visitor Experience

A typical visit begins at the main entrance before continuing through the aquarium galleries and themed wildlife sections.

Visitors can explore at their own pace rather than following a fixed group timetable. This makes the attraction suitable for families that need extra rest stops, couples interested in photography, and senior travelers who prefer a calmer activity.

Allow approximately two to three hours for the complete experience. The actual visit may be shorter or longer according to:

  • Crowd levels.
  • Children’s ages.
  • Photography time.
  • Feeding schedules.
  • Rest periods.
  • Interest in the mini zoo.
  • Time spent reading displays.

Avoid rushing through the underwater tunnel and main marine galleries. A slower pace gives children time to observe the animals and allows adults to take photographs without blocking the visitor route.

Hurghada Aquarium Marine Tunnel

The underwater tunnel provides close views of marine animals moving through a large surrounding tank.

Visitors may observe:

  • Sharks.
  • Rays.
  • Turtles.
  • Reef fish.
  • Schooling fish.
  • Different marine species.

The species visible during a visit can change according to aquarium management and animal care arrangements. No specific animal display should be treated as permanently guaranteed.

For clearer photographs:

  • Avoid using flash.
  • Keep the camera close to the glass.
  • Wait for other visitors to move.
  • Use the tunnel lighting.
  • Avoid tapping on the glass.
  • Give children time at viewing points.

Flash photography and loud behavior can disturb both animals and other visitors. Follow all posted instructions throughout the aquarium.

Hurghada Aquarium Mini Zoo

Admission currently provides access to both the aquarium and the mini zoo sections.

The wildlife areas may include birds, reptiles, mammals, and rainforest-style environments alongside the marine displays.

These sections add variety for families, particularly children who enjoy seeing different types of animals during one visit.

Parents should supervise children and prevent them from:

  • Feeding animals without permission.
  • Tapping enclosures.
  • Crossing barriers.
  • Making loud noises near animals.
  • Touching exhibits.
  • Leaving the marked visitor path.

Visitors with strong preferences concerning animal attractions may wish to review the available sections before purchasing tickets.

Hurghada Aquarium Family Visit

Hurghada Grand Aquarium is one of the easier Hurghada activities for families because it does not require swimming ability, special equipment, or a complete day at sea.

It can suit families with:

  • Young children.
  • Non-swimmers.
  • Children interested in sharks and fish.
  • Visitors needing a break from the sun.
  • Family members who dislike boats.
  • Mixed age groups.
  • Limited holiday time.

Families should allow enough time for bathroom breaks, photographs, snacks, and slower movement through popular areas.

Before visiting, confirm:

  • Child ticket categories.
  • Current opening hours.
  • Stroller conditions.
  • Accessibility requirements.
  • Food and drink rules.
  • Photography restrictions.
  • Available transport.
  • Final admission cost.

Arriving earlier can help families explore before larger tour groups enter the main galleries.

Hurghada Aquarium for Couples

Couples can include the aquarium as a relaxed half-day activity between longer excursions.

The marine tunnel, large tanks, and themed environments provide several photography opportunities without the heat and physical effort associated with snorkeling or desert programs.

A visit can be combined with:

  • A relaxed hotel morning.
  • A late lunch.
  • A marina evening.
  • A restaurant visit.
  • Local shopping.
  • A short city tour.

Couples who want a quieter visit should consider arriving during less crowded weekday or morning periods.

The aquarium is not a full-day attraction for most visitors, leaving enough time for another relaxed activity later.

Hurghada Aquarium for Non-Swimmers

Hurghada Grand Aquarium allows non-swimmers to observe sharks, rays, fish, and marine environments without entering the water.

This makes it suitable for travelers who:

  • Cannot swim.
  • Feel uncomfortable on boats.
  • Experience seasickness.
  • Prefer indoor attractions.
  • Are traveling with young children.
  • Want predictable marine viewing.
  • Cannot participate in snorkeling.

Travelers seeking another underwater experience without swimming can also choose a Panorama Semi-Submarine Hurghada tour.

The semi-submarine provides views of the natural Red Sea through panoramic windows, while the aquarium offers a controlled visitor route with marine and wildlife displays.

These experiences are different rather than interchangeable. The aquarium is easier and more predictable, while the semi-submarine provides natural reef views affected by real sea conditions.

Hurghada Aquarium Opening Hours

The attraction’s official website currently lists daily opening hours from 9:00 AM until 11:00 PM.

Opening hours may change during:

  • Public holidays.
  • Religious occasions.
  • Special events.
  • Maintenance periods.
  • Seasonal operating schedules.

Confirm the current closing time before arranging evening transportation.

Morning visits can offer:

  • Lower crowd levels.
  • Easier family movement.
  • More relaxed photographs.
  • A cooler journey during summer.
  • More time for another activity afterward.

Late-afternoon visits may suit travelers who want to spend the morning at their hotel and continue to dinner after leaving the attraction.

Avoid arriving shortly before closing because the complete route normally requires more than a quick walk.

Hurghada Aquarium Ticket Options

Ticket categories are generally based on age, with separate admission conditions for adults and children.

The official booking information currently indicates that standard admission covers:

  • Aquarium entrance.
  • Underwater tunnel access.
  • Main marine displays.
  • Mini zoo access.
  • Rainforest and wildlife sections.

Additional expenses may include:

  • Hotel transportation.
  • Food and drinks.
  • Souvenirs.
  • Professional photographs.
  • Special activities.
  • Personal purchases.

Ticket prices can change, so confirm the current adult and child rates before publishing a final budget or completing your booking.

Also check:

  • The age range for child tickets.
  • Conditions for children under four.
  • Online and gate prices.
  • Cancellation terms.
  • Accepted payment methods.
  • Whether the ticket is dated.
  • Whether transfer is included.

Do not assume that an advertised aquarium package includes transportation unless this appears clearly in the confirmation.

Hurghada Aquarium Transportation

Hurghada Grand Aquarium is located on the southern side of Hurghada in the Magawish area.

Travel time depends on the location of your hotel. Guests staying in central Hurghada may have a shorter journey than visitors traveling from El Gouna, Makadi Bay, Sahl Hasheesh, Soma Bay, or Safaga.

Common transport options include:

  • Prearranged private transfer.
  • Shared excursion transfer.
  • Hotel taxi.
  • Local taxi.
  • Rental vehicle.

Before using a taxi:

  • Agree on the total price.
  • Confirm whether it is one way or return.
  • Decide on the return pickup time.
  • Save the driver’s contact number.
  • Confirm the currency.
  • Avoid unclear waiting charges.

Families may prefer a prearranged return transfer because it removes the need to find another vehicle after the visit.

Hurghada Aquarium Best Timing

The best visit time depends on your holiday schedule and travel group.

Morning visits suit:

  • Families with young children.
  • Visitors avoiding crowds.
  • Travelers visiting during summer.
  • Guests planning another afternoon activity.
  • Photography-focused visitors.

Afternoon visits suit:

  • Guests enjoying the hotel in the morning.
  • Couples planning an evening out.
  • Visitors using the aquarium as a relaxed activity.
  • Travelers avoiding early starts.

Windy days can make the aquarium especially attractive because outdoor boat and water activities may be less comfortable.

However, weather can also increase visitor numbers as other travelers change their excursion plans. Booking or confirming tickets in advance may help during busy periods.

Hurghada Aquarium and Snorkeling

The aquarium and a snorkeling excursion provide two different ways to experience Red Sea marine life.

Choose the aquarium when you want:

  • No swimming.
  • A shorter activity.
  • Predictable animal viewing.
  • Indoor and shaded sections.
  • A family-friendly route.
  • An option for windy weather.

Choose snorkeling when you want:

  • Natural coral reefs.
  • Open-sea swimming.
  • A full boat experience.
  • Island beach time.
  • Marine life in the wild.
  • A more active day.

Families and first-time visitors can include both experiences on different days.

The aquarium can introduce children to marine animals before an Orange Bay snorkeling tour, which provides two natural reef stops, island time, lunch, and hotel transportation.

Observing animals in an aquarium does not replace responsible interaction with natural Red Sea ecosystems. During snorkeling, never touch coral, feed fish, or chase marine life.

Hurghada Aquarium Accessibility

The aquarium can be easier than many outdoor excursions for travelers with limited mobility, but conditions may vary between different sections.

Before visiting, ask about:

  • Wheelchair access.
  • Stroller access.
  • Steps and ramps.
  • Rest areas.
  • Accessible bathrooms.
  • Parking distance.
  • Mini zoo pathways.
  • Rope bridge alternatives.
  • Assistance for senior visitors.

Families using large or double strollers should confirm current entry restrictions in advance.

Comfortable walking shoes remain important because the experience includes movement through several indoor and outdoor sections.

Hurghada Aquarium Packing Guide

You do not need specialist clothing or equipment for the aquarium.

Bring:

  • Comfortable walking shoes.
  • Lightweight clothing.
  • A charged phone or camera.
  • A power bank.
  • A small bottle of water when permitted.
  • Child supplies.
  • Personal medication.
  • A light layer during winter evenings.
  • Ticket confirmation.
  • A secure bag.

Avoid:

  • Large luggage.
  • Flash photography.
  • Food for feeding animals.
  • Unnecessary valuables.
  • Items that block narrow visitor areas.

Keep children close in darker galleries and agree on a meeting point when visiting as a larger group.

Plan a Hurghada Aquarium Visit

Hurghada Grand Aquarium can fit easily into a balanced Red Sea holiday.

A practical itinerary may include:

  • The aquarium on a relaxed half-day.
  • An island or snorkeling trip on another day.
  • A desert safari.
  • A marina evening.
  • Free hotel and beach time.

Avoid placing the aquarium immediately after an exhausting overnight or long-distance excursion when children may be too tired to enjoy the displays.

Use it as a comfortable activity between more demanding sea, desert, or historical programs.

Visit Hurghada Grand Aquarium

Visit Hurghada Grand Aquarium when you want a family-friendly marine attraction combining an underwater tunnel, sharks, rays, colorful fish, wildlife displays, and a mini zoo.

The attraction is particularly suitable for children, non-swimmers, couples seeking a relaxed visit, and travelers looking for an alternative activity during windy weather.

Confirm the latest opening hours, ticket categories, visitor rules, and transportation before departure. Allow enough time to enjoy the complete route without rushing and plan a reliable return journey to your hotel.

Combine the aquarium with a natural Red Sea excursion on another day to experience marine life both through controlled exhibits and within its natural environment.

Eden Island Hurghada: Luxury Snorkeling Trip 2026

Eden Island Hurghada offers a premium Red Sea escape combining white sand, turquoise water, beach relaxation, snorkeling, island dining, and comfortable facilities away from the busy resort coastline.

Unlike boat trips that provide only a short island stop, selected Eden Island packages allow visitors to spend most of the day enjoying the beach. Depending on the program, your experience may also include hotel transportation, a modern yacht journey, snorkeling equipment, kayaking, meals, snacks, and drinks.

The island can suit couples seeking a relaxing sea day, families wanting comfortable beach facilities, beginners trying snorkeling, and travelers who prefer more island time than a standard reef-focused excursion.

Explore available Hurghada island tours and compare the itinerary, transportation, food arrangements, and included activities before choosing your program.

Book Eden Island Hurghada

  • Kayaking access.
  • Buffet meals.
  • Snacks and drinks.
  • Beach-only admission.

Before paying, provide:

  • Your preferred date.
  • Complete hotel name.
  • Number of adults.
  • Number and ages of children.
  • Dietary requirements.
  • Snorkeling ability.
  • Preferred package.
  • Required hotel transportation.

Request written confirmation showing exactly which transport, meals, drinks, and activities are included.

Eden Island Day Experience

The Eden Island day experience is designed around beach relaxation with optional or included marine activities.

Eden Island Day Experience

A typical full-day program may include:

  • Hotel pickup.
  • Marina transportation.
  • Yacht sailing.
  • Snorkeling equipment.
  • A guided snorkeling opportunity.
  • Island beach access.
  • Kayaking.
  • Shaded seating.
  • Open-buffet dining.
  • Snacks and drinks.
  • Return yacht journey.

The precise itinerary depends on the package selected. Some options include extensive island dining, while others make food and drinks available for an additional charge.

The sea route, snorkeling arrangements, and activity schedule may change according to wind, visibility, operational requirements, and passenger safety.

Eden Island Yacht Journey

Full-day Eden Island packages normally begin with transportation to the departure point followed by a yacht journey across the Red Sea.

During the cruise, passengers can enjoy coastal views and prepare for the island visit. Some programs may include a snorkeling stop before reaching the beach, while others prioritize maximum time on Eden Island.

Before boarding:

  • Attend the safety briefing.
  • Confirm the return schedule.
  • Secure personal belongings.
  • Ask where life jackets are stored.
  • Check snorkeling equipment.
  • Inform the crew about seasickness.
  • Supervise children closely.

The total travel time depends on the departure point, sea conditions, and daily route.

Travelers sensitive to boat movement should consider suitable motion-sickness medication after receiving professional medical advice.

Eden Island Snorkeling

Snorkeling can be included in selected Eden Island programs, giving visitors the opportunity to observe Red Sea coral and tropical fish before or during the island experience.

Depending on the operating schedule, snorkeling may take place from the yacht at a designated reef area rather than directly from every section of the beach.

The activity may provide views of:

  • Coral formations.
  • Butterflyfish.
  • Parrotfish.
  • Surgeonfish.
  • Schools of reef fish.
  • Other natural marine species.

Wildlife sightings depend on natural conditions and cannot be guaranteed.

Beginners should:

  • Tell the guide about their ability.
  • Wear a life jacket.
  • Check the mask before entering.
  • Stay close to the guide.
  • Avoid deeper areas when nervous.
  • Return to the yacht when tired.

Never touch coral, feed fish, or collect shells and marine objects. Responsible snorkeling protects the ecosystem that makes Red Sea excursions attractive.

Eden Island Beach Time

Beach time is the main feature that distinguishes Eden Island from many conventional snorkeling boats.

Eden Island Beach Time

Visitors can use the island period to:

  • Swim in clear water.
  • Relax beneath shaded areas.
  • Walk along the beach.
  • Take photographs.
  • Use available loungers.
  • Enjoy meals and refreshments.
  • Try kayaking when included.
  • Rest between water activities.

The island’s organized beach setup can be useful for guests who want greater comfort than a short natural sandbank stop.

Facilities and seating can vary by package and operating conditions. Confirm whether loungers, umbrellas, towels, toilets, changing facilities, and selected activities are included.

Return to the agreed meeting location before yacht departure. Missing the departure time can disrupt both your booking and the schedule of other passengers.

Eden Island Food Package

Dining arrangements are an important difference between Eden Island packages.

The full all-inclusive option may provide:

  • An open buffet.
  • Meals during the island stay.
  • Snacks.
  • Soft drinks.
  • Water.
  • Access to the island restaurant facilities.

Other packages may include island transportation and activities while requiring guests to purchase meals and drinks separately.

Travelers with allergies, vegetarian preferences, or dietary restrictions should notify the booking team before departure. Availability cannot always be arranged when requests are made only after reaching the island.

Confirm whether drinks are unlimited, served during specific periods, or purchased individually.

Private speedboat routes remain subject to the captain’s approval, weather, permitted destinations, and confirmed booking details.

Eden Island or Orange Bay

Eden Island and Orange Bay both combine beach relaxation with a Red Sea boat journey, but their programs differ.

Choose Eden Island when you want:

  • A full island-focused day.
  • All-inclusive dining options.

  • Longer relaxation time.
  • Several package levels.

Choose an Orange Bay snorkeling tour when you want:

  • Two guided reef stops.
  • Approximately two hours on the island.
  • Buffet lunch onboard.
  • Soft drinks.
  • A structured group excursion.
  • A lower official starting price.

Eden Island places greater emphasis on the island experience, while Orange Bay provides a balanced boat, reef, and beach itinerary.

Eden or Paradise Island

Paradise Island can be more suitable for travelers who want snorkeling combined with inflatable sea games.

The official Paradise Island snorkeling trip includes:

  • Two snorkeling stops.
  • Island time.
  • Banana boat riding.
  • Sofa boat riding.
  • Buffet lunch.
  • Soft drinks.
  • Hurghada hotel transfers.

Choose Eden Island for extended beach comfort and island dining. Choose Paradise Island for a more active group program featuring additional water entertainment.

Eden Island Safety Tips

Follow the yacht crew and island staff throughout the program.

Important safety practices include:

  • Attend every briefing.
  • Wear a life jacket when advised.
  • Supervise children.
  • Stay inside designated swimming areas.
  • Avoid entering rough water.
  • Do not snorkel alone.
  • Protect yourself from the sun.
  • Drink water regularly.
  • Report allergies before eating.
  • Return before departure time.

The captain may change or cancel snorkeling because of wind, waves, or visibility. Safety decisions should always take priority over the advertised activity order.

Eden Island Packing List

Paradise Island Hurghada: 10 Easy Trip Planning Checks

Paradise Island Hurghada is a beach-and-snorkeling day reached by boat from Hurghada. Our standard excursion gives you two planned reef stops, approximately two hours on the island and time to relax aboard, with lunch, drinks and Hurghada hotel transfers included.

At a glance: approximately eight hours overall; €25 for ages 11+, €15 fixed for ages 4–10, and free for ages 0–3. The standard boat is shared, with a maximum of 50 guests. Details checked 2 October 2026.

This guide explains the program and booking decisions. Use the Paradise Island boat excursion for the actual reservation, and the specialist snorkeling and price guides for more detail on those parts of the day.

1. Paradise Island Hurghada: the beach-and-boat day

The Paradise Island boat excursion combines a shared cruise, two planned snorkeling stops and approximately two hours at the beach. Lunch and drinks are served onboard, snorkeling equipment is included, and the standard package covers hotel transfers within Hurghada. Allow approximately eight hours for the whole excursion.

Choose Paradise Island Hurghada when you want beach time as part of a varied sea day. You can join the reef sessions or spend those periods aboard, then meet the rest of your party for the island stop. It is not an eight-hour beach stay or a dedicated scuba-diving course.

The linked product is the service described in this guide. Island names, old photographs and similar tour titles elsewhere can refer to different packages. Check the exact destination and inclusions in your confirmation rather than assuming every offer with “Paradise” in its name follows this itinerary.

The standard vessel is shared, with a published maximum of 50 guests. That is a capacity limit, not a promised attendance figure. “VIP” does not turn a shared booking into a private charter, guarantee a particular vessel or establish extra activities beyond the listing.

2. How the excursion fits into your holiday

A Paradise Island Hurghada day begins with collection from your agreed hotel meeting point, followed by transfer and boarding. The boat program brings together sailing, reefs, the island and lunch. Their running order may change with the operating route and conditions.

Ask for the pickup time for your actual hotel. There is no single collection time that applies to every resort, and the marina departure is a separate point in the day. A late-afternoon marina return also differs from arrival at a hotel farther along the coast.

Plan this as your main daytime excursion. If you need to meet an airport transfer or another time-sensitive commitment afterward, discuss that before booking. An approximate eight-hour duration is useful for planning but cannot establish a guaranteed return minute.

At each stop, listen for where and when the group meets again. Keep children and slower walkers in mind when deciding how far to explore. The simplest way to enjoy the varied program is to choose the activities you want, while leaving enough time to rejoin the boat calmly.

3. Make the island stop work for you

Approximately two hours at Paradise Island Hurghada gives you a beach break between the boat activities. You can walk along the shore, take photographs, relax or use the designated swimming area when conditions permit. The best use of that time depends on your group, rather than a required list of attractions.

Decide on a meeting point within your party before anyone heads off for photographs. Keep the guide’s return instructions available and allow time to gather towels, change footwear and walk back. The island visit is coordinated with the rest of the excursion.

Ask about seating and shade if those are essential for children or anyone who cannot spend long in the sun. A photo from the venue shows a setting; it does not reserve the same chair, umbrella or section for your party. Specific facilities and personal purchases need to be distinguished from island entry.

Beach water and offshore reef water are different settings. Do not assume the shoreline is suitable for a particular swimmer because it looks shallow or turquoise. Follow the operating boundaries and supervise children. You can enjoy the stop without entering the water.

4. Two planned snorkeling stops, with participation choices

The Paradise Island Hurghada program includes two planned offshore snorkeling stops. The crew chooses the operating locations according to conditions. Different stops may offer different views, but no reef name, visibility level or animal encounter is guaranteed by the destination label.

Tell the team whether you are a confident swimmer, a first-time snorkeler or a non-swimmer. Ask what guidance and flotation equipment are available. Shared-trip support is not automatically a private lesson or continuous one-to-one assistance.

Equipment is included in the listing; fit still matters. Raise child-size requirements before departure, and check masks and fins with the crew before entering. If an item is uncomfortable, report it early. A towel or wetsuit is a separate question from the general snorkeling-equipment inclusion.

Snorkeling is optional. Someone may remain aboard during one or both stops, with appropriate arrangements for children and accompanying adults. For a closer look at equipment, ability and reef-session decisions, see the Paradise Island snorkeling guide.

5. Water activities, meals and what is separate

The current Paradise Island Hurghada listing includes Banana Boat and water activities subject to conditions. Participation also depends on suitability and the crew’s instructions. You can decline an activity; buying the excursion does not require every guest to do every part.

Do not plan your booking around a guaranteed sofa ride or floating aqua park: neither is established in the current product’s named inclusions. If one particular activity is essential, ask for a clear current answer before reserving. An older description should not override the actual offer.

Lunch and drinks are included onboard. The guide does not promise a fixed menu or unlimited service. Send dietary requirements in advance so the team can say whether they can be met. A café order or restaurant purchase on the island is separate unless expressly included in your confirmation.

Professional photos and videos, personal purchases and any agreed additional service sit outside the base package. You should be able to distinguish the excursion fare from these choices before the trip. Ask the price of an optional purchase before accepting it.

6. Family fares and practical comfort

For the standard Paradise Island Hurghada trip, ages 11+ pay €25, ages 4–10 inclusive pay a fixed €15, and ages 0–3 travel free. The child amount is not calculated as half the adult fare. Include every child and infant in the passenger details.

Two adults and two children aged 4–10 have an €80 base fare before any hotel supplement or optional purchase. A ten-year-old pays €15; an eleven-year-old pays €25. Our Paradise Island price guide covers family calculations and the distinction between an excursion and an entry-only ticket.

A fare category is not an activity clearance. Confirm equipment sizes and participation requirements for each child. During reef stops, decide which adult stays with a child who does not enter the water; crew assistance does not replace parental supervision.

Ask about boarding steps, ladders, toilets and shade before booking if they affect your family’s decision. Explain mobility needs in concrete terms. The relevant answer concerns the actual boat and access route, not whether an advertisement broadly calls the trip suitable for everyone.

7. Transfers from Hurghada and surrounding resorts

Hotel transfers within Hurghada are included in the standard Paradise Island Hurghada fare. Makadi Bay and Sahl Hasheesh currently add €5 per person; Soma Bay, Safaga and El Gouna add €10 per person. Confirm the full party total, including how any supplement applies to children and infants.

Provide the complete property name and resort area. Hotel brands can have more than one property, so a partial name is not enough. Your confirmation should identify the meeting point, pickup time or window, return arrangement and any agreed transfer charge.

If you want to meet the boat independently, ask whether that arrangement is available and obtain the exact meeting instructions. Do not assume the departure marina from a general map result or another operator’s listing. Arranging your own journey does not automatically establish a discount.

Keep a working contact method and your written confirmation available on the morning of departure. If a hotel change affects your collection, notify the team and wait for the revised arrangement. A booking for one hotel should not be treated as confirmation for a different resort area.

8. Compare Paradise, Orange Bay and a private boat

Both our standard Paradise Island Hurghada excursion and Orange Bay excursion combine beach time and planned reef stops, with €25 adult and €15 child fares. Neither destination name guarantees a quieter day or better snorkeling. Start with which beach you want to visit and the actual itinerary.

The Orange Bay versus Paradise Island comparison helps with that choice. Use current photographs and confirmed facilities, rather than assigning one island a universal “family” or “couples” label. The people in your party may value shade, activity choices or privacy differently.

For exclusive vessel use, compare the private speedboat product as a separate service. It is €150 for the whole boat, up to six guests, approximately four hours, with fruit and drinks. Its listed optional island stop is Orange Bay; Paradise admission must not be assumed.

A private Paradise request needs a separate written itinerary naming the destination, admission, duration, transfer, vessel capacity and meal arrangements. Do not pay for a generic private boat expecting it automatically to reproduce the shared Paradise package.

9. Packing, reef care and booking information

Pack for the whole Paradise Island Hurghada day: swimwear, a towel, sun protection, a hat, dry clothing and splash protection for your phone. Keep unnecessary valuables at the hotel. A dry layer can be useful after swimming; ask separately about specialist thermal equipment.

At the reefs, keep away from coral, avoid feeding or chasing wildlife and secure loose belongings. The NOAA reef-care guide explains visitor actions that help limit damage. Photographs should not take priority over the crew’s instructions or the space around other swimmers.

For a booking request, send your preferred date, complete hotel name, guest numbers and each child’s age. Add swimming ability, equipment sizes, dietary needs and access requirements that could affect your decision. Ask about any essential feature before relying on it.

Reserve the Paradise Island boat excursion and keep the confirmation showing the product, destination, date, pickup, total and agreed extras. Use the payment method shown or confirmed for your booking, and keep the agreed total and currency with your confirmation.

Want the exact total for your hotel and family? Ask Hurghada Travels on WhatsApp with your date, hotel and traveler ages.

When friends are staying at different hotels

For a Paradise Island Hurghada booking involving more than one hotel, give the details of each party together. Ask whether you can join the same departure and how the separate pickups will work. A shared travel date alone does not confirm that two independently booked groups will meet on the same boat.

Choose one person to check the agreed itinerary with everyone, while keeping each family’s ages and essential requirements accurate. If someone changes hotels or cannot travel, send the correction before departure and ask for an updated confirmation. Keep a record of the agreed total and which optional services were requested. This helps a group compare the same arrangement instead of relying on different screenshots or earlier quotes.

10. Cancellation and a changed sailing plan

For Paradise Island Hurghada bookings, our cancellation and date-change terms provide a full refund when cancellation is received at least 24 hours before the confirmed start. Later cancellation and no-shows are non-refundable. The deadline uses local time in Egypt.

Request a date change at least 24 hours ahead for no change fee, subject to availability, any price difference and confirmation of the new date. A disclosed non-refundable ticket or committed-cost exception must be stated before payment and included in the confirmation.

If we cancel, including for unsafe weather, choose an available alternative date or a full refund. Changing one reef stop or the order of activities is not the same as cancelling the entire excursion. Ask which parts are affected and what options apply to that particular change.

Paradise Island Hurghada: practical questions

How much is Paradise Island for two people or a family?

The shared Paradise Island trip is €25 per adult aged 11+, €15 per child aged 4–10 and free for ages 0–3. Two adults pay €50, two adults with one child aged 4–10 pay €65, and with two children aged 4–10 pay €80, before applicable transfer supplements and optional purchases. Hurghada transfers are included; confirm any outside-Hurghada supplement for every traveler.

How do I book Paradise Island, and is a deposit required?

Choose your date and traveler numbers on the linked Paradise Island tour page, or send them by WhatsApp with your full hotel name and every child’s age. We confirm availability, the total in euros and pickup details. No advance deposit is required; pay cash to our representative on the trip day before the excursion begins.

Is Paradise Island Hurghada an entry-only ticket?

The linked standard product is a shared boat excursion with the island visit, two planned reef stops, equipment, onboard lunch and drinks, and Hurghada transfers. It is not a standalone beach-admission ticket.

How much time is actually spent ashore?

Approximately two hours is planned at the island within an approximately eight-hour excursion. The remaining time includes transfers, boarding, sailing, reef stops, lunch and the return.

Can our family skip both snorkeling stops?

Yes, snorkeling is optional. Arrange staying aboard with the crew and ensure an accompanying adult supervises any child who remains outside the water.

Is a floating aqua park guaranteed?

No. The current product lists Banana Boat and water activities subject to conditions; a floating aqua park or sofa ride is not an established inclusion. Ask about a specific activity before booking.

Does the fare include lunch on the island?

The current package lists lunch and drinks onboard. Purchases ashore are separate unless your confirmation specifically includes them.

What does a child aged 10 pay?

A ten-year-old pays the fixed €15 child fare. Ages 4–10 are included in that category; ages 0–3 travel free and ages 11+ pay €25.

Will we be on a boat just for our family?

No. The standard product is shared, with a published maximum of 50 guests. A private vessel requires a separate confirmed booking.

Can I assume a private speedboat includes Paradise?

No. The linked private speedboat lists Orange Bay as an optional visit. Paradise requires a separate itinerary that explicitly confirms the destination and admission.

What should I check for a guest with limited mobility?

Discuss boarding steps, ladders, marina access, the island walking route and available assistance before booking. Suitability depends on the actual arrangements.

What hotel information is needed?

Send the full hotel name and resort area. Confirm the meeting point, collection time and complete transfer amount, including any supplement for your party.

Are the reefs and boat times fixed?

No. The operating route and activity order can change with conditions. Confirm hotel pickup separately; the overall duration is approximate.

What if the operator cancels the excursion?

If we cancel, you can choose an available alternative date or a full refund. A change to one activity during an operating trip should be discussed separately.

Scuba Diving Hurghada: 9 Easy Booking Checks

Scuba diving Hurghada options should be compared by the actual program, eligibility and included services. The current introductory diving trip has two supervised dives for eligible participants, equipment, lunch, drinks and Hurghada hotel transfers. Allow approximately seven hours for the complete boat day.

The published fare is €30 for ages 11 and over, €15 for ages 4–10 and free for ages 0–3. These are ticket categories, not permission for every child to dive. No previous diving certification is required for the introductory experience, but the diving team must approve participation.

Use this guide to choose and book the program. For the briefing, practice and questions before your first water session, read the first scuba dive preparation guide. Prices and inclusions below were checked against the current booking pages on 27 September 2026.

1. Choose the diving program

Two introductory dives: a day focused on trying scuba

The Discover Scuba Diving in Hurghada trip is the current approximately seven-hour beginner boat program. It includes two introductory dives under professional supervision, the required diving equipment, lunch, drinks and Hurghada hotel pickup and return.

This is an introduction, not a certification course. It does not give you a qualification to dive independently on another holiday. You can discuss further training if you enjoy the experience, but a course, its assessment and certification costs are separate arrangements.

Orange Bay and one introductory dive

The Orange Bay island and diving combination is an approximately eight-hour day combining the island visit, snorkeling and one introductory scuba dive for eligible participants. Diving and snorkeling equipment, professional supervision, lunch, drinks and Hurghada transfers are included.

Its published fares are also €30 for ages 11 and over, €15 for ages 4–10 and free for ages 0–3. The same adult headline price does not make the programs identical: one centers on two introductory dives; the other divides the day between an island, snorkeling and one dive. Choose the experience you want rather than treating the island as an automatic extra on the two-dive ticket.

Certified divers and course requests

If you already hold a qualification, send your certification level, recent diving experience and last dive date before choosing an outing. The beginner ticket does not promise a certified-diver itinerary, wreck visit, advanced depth or private guide. Ask the team to confirm a suitable available program and its price in writing.

Likewise, a private snorkeling boat is not automatically a private scuba charter. A dedicated scuba arrangement needs its own confirmation of equipment, supervision, boat, sites, schedule and total. Do not book a different sea product and assume it includes diving.

2. Check prices and what is included

For the two-dive introductory trip, the €30 age-11-and-over fare includes the boat trip, two introductory dives for eligible participants, required diving equipment, professional supervision, lunch, drinks and Hurghada transfer. A diving certification course, optional underwater photographs or videos and personal expenses are excluded.

The child fare is €15 for ages 4–10, but that does not establish diving eligibility. Ask what a particular child can do and what a non-diving companion’s arrangement covers. Include infants and children in the passenger list even when their fare is free; they still need a confirmed place and appropriate supervision.

For example, two guests aged 11 or over have a €60 base total on either listed introductory product. Two such guests and an eight-year-old have a €75 base fare total. The example does not authorize the child to dive or include an unconfirmed transfer supplement, photos or other purchases.

Transfer charges differ between the two products

For the two-dive trip, the current page confirms Hurghada hotel pickup and return. An outside-Hurghada hotel requires a specific transfer quote. Do not copy a supplement from a snorkeling trip or another diving combination.

For Orange Bay plus one introductory dive, the current page lists €5 per person for Makadi Bay or Sahl Hasheesh and €10 per person for Soma Bay, Safaga or El Gouna. Confirm the complete party’s transfer total and hotel details before payment.

Compare the final written quote using the same travelers, date and hotel. Ask about any proposed extra charge before accepting it. The listed base program should be distinguishable from an optional photo package, a different tour or a personal purchase aboard.

3. Resolve eligibility before booking

Not needing a certificate is different from being automatically eligible to dive. Give the team each participant’s age, relevant experience and water confidence. Complete the screening it requires honestly and address concerns before committing to a date, especially if medical evaluation may take time.

PADI’s medical-screening forms explain the role of a participant questionnaire and when a physician’s evaluation may be required. Ask your actual diving professional which paperwork applies to the booked program. Do not use this article or a booking confirmation as medical clearance.

If health, medication or pregnancy raises a question, discuss it with an appropriate medical professional and the diving team before participation. An instructor assesses the practical activity requirements; this does not replace medical evaluation when required. Do not hide information or assume that feeling well on the morning of the trip resolves a screening issue.

The current tour page says introductory diving is commonly available from around age ten, with eligibility confirmed by the operator and instructor. This is not an unconditional promise that every ten-year-old can dive. Equipment fit, supervision and the child’s willingness also need checking. Avoid pressuring a child to enter the water because a ticket has been paid for.

Tell the team if you cannot swim or are uncomfortable in open water. A beginner description, clear-water photograph or instructor’s presence does not itself answer whether the specific activity is appropriate for you. Discuss the actual participation requirements and an alternative before booking.

4. Understand the full boat day

The two-dive itinerary begins with hotel collection and marina transfer, followed by meeting the diving team, screening and the beginner briefing. Equipment preparation and the sailing schedule fit around the day’s operation. The exact pickup is confirmed for your hotel; there is no universal 8–9am collection window promised here.

Eligible participants complete a first introductory dive at a selected location under professional supervision. Time aboard between the planned dives gives you an opportunity to describe how the first session felt and discuss readiness with the instructor. The second session remains subject to the participant and conditions.

Lunch and drinks are included, and the crew coordinates the meal with the diving schedule. Do not plan your day around a fixed lunch minute or assume everyone in your party enters the water simultaneously. Ask about the arrangements if two friends, a couple or family members hope to participate together.

After the boat returns to the marina, the included Hurghada transfer takes you back to your hotel. Approximately seven hours describes the complete outing, not seven hours underwater. Ask for the expected return before combining it with another paid activity or a fixed appointment.

5. Leave depth, time and sites to the diving team

The current scuba diving Hurghada product does not guarantee a particular depth or a fixed number of underwater minutes. The diving professional decides the appropriate profile using conditions, the participant and the activity’s requirements. A previous visitor’s experience is not a promise for your dive.

Two introductory dives also do not promise two named reefs. Locations and the order of activities may change. Ask about the planned program, but do not treat a list of famous Red Sea sites as an itinerary or request a deeper profile merely to match an advertisement.

Coral formations and fish are part of the Red Sea’s appeal, yet visibility, encounters and conditions vary. No specific animal sighting is guaranteed. An illustrative photograph can help explain reef diving without establishing where your boat will go or what you will see.

Follow the local briefing about protecting the reef. Keep equipment clear of coral, do not touch or stand on it, and observe marine life without chasing or feeding it. Ask the instructor for help with positioning rather than using the reef for support.

Clownfish among anemone tentacles beside a coral reef
Marine-life photograph from the company album. It illustrates the reef environment, not a guaranteed sighting during your dive.

6. Confirm equipment, supervision and comfort

The required diving equipment is included in the introductory program. Tell the team about sizing and fitting concerns before departure so it can check availability. Do not assume a particular wetsuit, prescription mask or specialist accommodation is available simply because the listing says equipment included.

At the briefing, make sure you understand the equipment, communication signals and how to tell the instructor you are uncomfortable or want to stop. Practical skills must be taught and supervised by the diving professional. An online explanation cannot replace that preparation.

The boat’s displayed passenger limit is not an instructor-to-diver ratio. Ask about the actual supervision arrangement, the language of the briefing and whether the team can accommodate your group’s needs. A low ticket price does not answer these questions, and a private booking should not be assumed without explicit confirmation.

Discuss boarding steps, ladders, moving around the boat and the space needed for equipment if access or mobility is a concern. A photo of a shaded deck or comfortable seats does not establish step-free access or the facilities on the assigned vessel.

7. Plan flights and the rest of your holiday

Tell the diving team your flight departure and any planned travel to altitude before choosing the dive date. Count the interval from your final dive, not from hotel pickup or the start of the boat day.

For divers without symptoms, DAN’s flying-after-diving guidance suggests at least 12 hours after a single no-decompression dive and at least 18 hours after multiple dives in a day or multiple diving days. Longer intervals reduce risk further; follow any more conservative professional or dive-computer guidance.

The two-dive day should therefore be discussed as a multiple-dive plan. Do not treat the minimum as a guarantee of no risk or rely on the phrase “the next day” without checking the actual hours. If you develop possible decompression-sickness symptoms, do not fly; seek urgent medical advice.

For the rest of the day, leave room for the complete boat schedule and your own comfort. A prepaid evening activity should not pressure you to rush the diving program. The island combination takes approximately eight hours overall, so compare it with your available holiday time before reserving.

8. Confirm pickup, extras and cancellation terms

When booking scuba diving Hurghada, provide the date, full hotel name, number of travelers, each child’s age and everyone’s experience level. Ask the team how to provide any required medical information directly to the appropriate diving professional.

If you searched for a dive center “near me,” check the actual meeting point and pickup arrangements. This boat excursion is not a promise that a dive center or marina is within walking distance of your hotel. Follow the confirmed collection instructions rather than arriving at a different marina.

Bring swimwear, a towel, sun protection, dry clothing and the documents requested by the operator. Check whether identification is needed and how to keep it dry. Pack personal essentials without bringing unnecessary valuables. The boat-trip packing checklist can help with the non-diving items.

Tell the team about food allergies or dietary requirements before booking so it can check the meal. Agree the price and delivery of any optional underwater photographs before purchasing them. Photos are not a qualification record, proof of a particular depth or an included part of every ticket.

The current cancellation and date-change policy provides a full refund for cancellation received at least 24 hours before the confirmed start. Later cancellation and no-show are non-refundable; deadlines use local Egypt time. A date change requested at least 24 hours ahead has no change fee, subject to availability, any price difference and confirmation.

If the company cancels, including for unsafe weather, you may choose an available alternative date or a full refund. Any non-refundable ticket or committed-cost exception must be disclosed before payment. Ask how screening-related non-participation or an affected component of a combination will be handled; do not invent a guaranteed partial refund.

9. Compare alternatives for your group

Choose the two-dive introduction if eligible participants want the day to focus on trying scuba. Choose the Orange Bay diving combination if the island visit is a priority and one introductory dive is the desired addition. A named island visit is not included in the standard two-dive product.

The regular Orange Bay snorkeling trip is a separate choice with surface snorkeling and island time but no included scuba dive. The Panorama semi-submarine trip offers underwater-window viewing without requiring snorkeling. Check access and the actual program for anyone who prefers to remain dry.

For a mixed group, confirm whether non-diving companions can join the chosen boat, their price and the available activities. Do not assume a beginner, certified diver and non-diving child can all follow one interchangeable itinerary. Ask about supervision when adults participate at different times.

Scuba diving Hurghada questions

Which beginner diving trip is cheaper for a couple or family?

Our two-dive Discover Scuba trip and Orange Bay with one introductory dive both have a €30 fare for ages 11+, €15 for ages 4–10 and no excursion fare for ages 0–3. Two adults pay €60; with one child aged 4–10 the base total is €75, or €90 with two children in that age group. These totals precede applicable transfers and optional purchases. Child fares do not guarantee permission to dive; confirm the participation plan for each traveler. The two-dive trip includes Hurghada transfers; request its own quote for other resort areas rather than borrowing Orange Bay’s transfer charges.

How do I book scuba diving in Hurghada without an advance deposit?

Choose the exact program, date and traveler numbers on its linked tour page, or contact us by WhatsApp with your hotel, every child’s age, experience and return-flight schedule. Confirm participation requirements, availability, pickup and the full total in euros before reserving. No advance deposit is required. Pay cash to our representative on the trip day before the excursion begins.

What does the €30 introductory diving trip include?

For ages 11 and over, the listed base fare includes two introductory dives for eligible participants, equipment, professional supervision, the boat trip, lunch, drinks and Hurghada hotel transfers. Optional photos and a certification course are excluded.

Does the child price mean my child can scuba dive?

No. Ages 4–10 have a €15 fare category, but diving eligibility must be confirmed separately. Give the child’s age and discuss the actual activity, equipment and supervision before booking.

Do I need a certificate for the introductory trip?

No previous diving certificate is required, but screening and participation requirements still apply. Completing the introduction does not award a diving qualification.

How deep and how long is each dive?

There is no guaranteed depth or fixed underwater time in the current product. The diving professional decides the profile according to the participant, conditions and activity requirements.

Are two specific dive sites guaranteed?

No. Two introductory dives are planned for eligible participants, but selected locations and the sequence depend on conditions and the team’s assessment.

Is Orange Bay included in the two-dive trip?

No. Orange Bay with one introductory dive is a separate approximately eight-hour combination. The standard introductory boat day focuses on two dives and lasts approximately seven hours.

Are outside-Hurghada transfer fees the same on both diving trips?

Do not assume so. The two-dive page asks for an individual transfer confirmation outside Hurghada. The Orange Bay diving combination currently lists €5 or €10 per person for its named resort areas.

Can two beginners dive together?

Ask about the actual instructor arrangement and scheduling. Booking two tickets does not guarantee a private instructor or simultaneous participation.

Can I use this beginner ticket for a certified-diver itinerary?

Confirm a suitable program first. Send your qualification, recent experience and last dive date; the introductory ticket does not promise a wreck visit, advanced profile or private guide.

Is a private speedboat automatically a scuba trip?

No. The private speedboat product is a dolphin-search and snorkeling program. A scuba charter requires a separate confirmed arrangement and price.

What if I am nervous or uncomfortable during preparation?

Tell the instructor, ask questions and discuss whether to continue. Follow the supervised briefing and do not pressure yourself to participate because the ticket is paid.

Can I fly shortly after the trip?

Plan the surface interval with the diving professional before booking, using your final dive time and flight departure. Follow the DAN guidance linked above and any more conservative advice; the introductory label does not remove this requirement.

Are medical forms required only for experienced divers?

No. Beginners must also complete the diving team’s required screening. Follow the questionnaire instructions and obtain medical evaluation when required.

Are underwater photos included?

They are optional extras unless your written confirmation specifically includes them. Agree the price, number or type of images and delivery before purchasing.

What should my booking confirmation state?

The named program, date, participant list, eligibility arrangements, hotel and pickup, included dives and equipment, total price, extras and cancellation terms. Resolve any missing detail before relying on the booking.

Dolphin House Hurghada dolphins swimming in Red Sea 2026

Dolphin House Hurghada 2026: Best Tour & Prices Guide

Dolphin House Hurghada is one of the most popular tours in Hurghada in 2026.

You land in Hurghada, open your phone, and suddenly you see 30 different offers for “Dolphin House”. Some look cheap, others “VIP”, some promise wild dolphins in just 5 minutes. This is where many travelers often get overcharged or end up on the wrong boat.

Let’s fix that.

This is a real, practical guide to Dolphin House Hurghada for 2026. We will cover what it is, the best time to go, how the day usually unfolds, expected costs, what to avoid, and how to book it stress-free.

Dolphin House Hurghada boat trip Red Sea

If you’re planning your Hurghada tours, Dolphin House is a must-visit. It’s one of the most popular Hurghada excursions for a reason. You can snorkel, see wild dolphins (not in a dolphinarium), and spend an entire day enjoying the beautiful Red Sea.

For those who prefer to skip the hassle and choose a reliable operator, you can easily browse and book through Hurghada Travels. They offer various tours including the popular Dolphin House snorkeling trip.

Dolphin House Hurghada 2026: Quick Overview

Shaab El Erg Dolphin Reef Hurghada location

Dolphin House typically refers to the dolphin area around Shaab El Erg, often called “Dolphin Reef”, near Hurghada/El Gouna. Boats set off early in the morning, with 2 to 3 snorkeling stops planned. If luck is on your side (which it often is), you’ll get to see dolphins swimming nearby.

A few key points before we delve deeper:

  • These are wild dolphins, not trained ones.
  • No one can guarantee that you’ll swim with them every single day.
  • The difference between a fantastic trip and a disappointing one largely depends on the boat quality, crew behavior, group size, and timing.

This is precisely why some Hurghada tours receive rave reviews with ratings of 10/10 while others plummet to 3/10 despite visiting “the same place”.

If you’re interested in more unique experiences during your stay, consider exploring other options such as the Panorama semi-submarine tour, parasailing or an Orange Bay snorkeling tour through Hurghada Travels. They also offer combined packages like the Panorama semi-submarine and parasailing for an unforgettable adventure!

This is why Dolphin House Hurghada is a must-do experience for most travelers.

Why Dolphin House Hurghada is one of the best tours in Hurghada

Snorkeling Dolphin House Hurghada Red Sea coral

There are lots of things to do in Hurghada, but Dolphin House hits that sweet spot. It feels like a proper Red Sea day, not just a quick activity.

1) It’s a full Red Sea day (not rushed)

You’re not going out for one stop and back. Most trips are 6 to 8 hours. You get time to relax, eat, snorkel, and actually enjoy being out there.

2) It works for mixed groups

Couples, families, friends, solo travelers. Even if one person doesn’t snorkel much, they can still enjoy the cruise vibe. For those who are not comfortable with swimming or snorkeling, Red Sea snorkeling for non-swimmers in Hurghada offers some great options.

3) The marine life is usually beautiful even without dolphins

This matters. Dolphins are the headline, but the Red Sea coral and fish are still a win. So the day doesn’t feel wasted.

For a lot of travelers, Dolphin House ends up being one of the most memorable Hurghada excursions of the whole trip.

Dolphin House Hurghada: what the day itinerary looks like

Lunch on boat Dolphin House Hurghada trip

Every operator does it a little differently, but a typical schedule looks like this:

Hotel pickup and marina check in

  • Pickup usually around 8:00 to 9:00 am
  • You arrive at the marina, meet the crew, and board
  • Some boats ask for passport photos or room numbers (normal)

Sailing time (30 to 90 minutes)

Depends on your marina and sea conditions. This is also where a good crew makes a difference. Briefing, safety, where to sit, how the day will go.

Snorkeling stops (usually 2 to 3)

Most Dolphin House trips include:

  • One stop near the dolphin area (Shaab El Erg)
  • Another reef stop with coral and fish
  • Sometimes a third quick stop if time and weather allow

Lunch on board

Usually buffet style: rice, pasta, chicken or fish, salads, sauces. Simple but filling. Soft drinks and water commonly included.

Water sports (optional, depends on boat)

Some boats add:

  • Banana boat
  • Sofa ride

Not the main reason you go, but it’s fun.

Return and hotel drop off

Back to marina around 3:00 to 4:30 pm, then drop off.

If you’re comparing Hurghada tours, make sure you’re comparing total time on the sea, not just the word “Dolphin House”.

Can you really swim with dolphins at Dolphin House?

Swimming with dolphins in Hurghada Red Sea

Sometimes yes. Sometimes no. That’s the honest answer.

You may see dolphins from the boat, or they may come close while you’re in the water. And occasionally you get that magical moment where they circle around and you’re basically snorkeling with them for a minute or two.

But here’s the part many sellers don’t say clearly:

Wild dolphins decide everything

  • If the sea is busy, dolphins move away.
  • If boats chase them, they disappear.
  • If the group is too noisy in the water, it’s over fast.

A good operator follows rules and keeps the experience respectful. And ironically, that’s what increases your chances.

If you want to read general traveler feedback, this  link is a useful place to compare reviews across different boats and “Dolphin House” sellers.

Best time for Dolphin House Hurghada (2026 season guide)

Dolphin House runs all year, but the experience changes with weather and water temperature.

Spring (March to May)

Really nice balance.

  • Warm days
  • Water starts warming up
  • Often calmer seas than winter

Summer (June to August)

Most popular season.

  • Warm water
  • Very busy marinas
  • More boats at Dolphin House (this can reduce dolphin time)

Autumn (September to November)

My personal favorite for many guests.

  • Water still warm
  • Fewer crowds than peak summer
  • Great snorkeling visibility

Winter (December to February)

Still possible, but bring the right expectations.

  • Water colder (wetsuit helps a lot)
  • Windy days can cancel trips
  • Less crowded, which is a plus

If your main goal is snorkeling comfort, late summer and autumn are excellent. If your goal is fewer crowds, spring and winter can be better. This is why planning your Hurghada tours around season actually matters.

Dolphin House Hurghada price in 2026

Our standard Dolphin House trip costs €25 for ages 11+, €15 for children aged 4–10 inclusive, and is free for ages 0–3 inclusive. Confirm any hotel-area supplement and optional purchases. A private speedboat is a different product priced at €150 for the whole boat for up to six guests, including children.

Book the standard Dolphin House snorkeling trip using every guest’s age. one adult, one child aged 4–10 and one infant have a €40 base trip total before applicable supplements.

The private speedboat is charged per boat, not per person; all children and infants count toward its capacity. Compare its confirmed itinerary separately. A VIP label does not itself establish a different boat capacity or fare.

What’s included (and what’s usually extra)

This is where people get surprised, so read this part.

Usually included

  • Hotel pickup and drop off (Hurghada zones, sometimes El Gouna/Makadi with supplement)
  • Boat trip
  • Snorkeling guide
  • Lunch
  • Soft drinks and water (sometimes limited)
  • Life jacket

Sometimes included, sometimes extra

  • Mask and fins (some boats include, others charge small rental)
  • Wetsuit (often extra)
  • Marine park fee (sometimes included, sometimes paid on the spot)

Usually extra

  • Photos and videos (the photographer will offer packages)
  • Tips for crew (not mandatory, but appreciated)
  • Personal spending

Before you book any Hurghada excursions, ask one simple question:
“What exactly is included in the price, and what do I pay on the boat?”

Good operators answer clearly. Messy operators get vague.

How to choose the right Dolphin House trip (simple checklist)

There are many best tours in Hurghada, but Dolphin House is the one where boat choice matters a lot.

1) Ask about group size

If you hate crowds, don’t book the cheapest boat with 60 people. You’ll spend your day waiting, and snorkeling becomes chaotic.

2) Ask where the boat departs from

Sahl Hasheesh, Makadi, central Hurghada, El Gouna. Departure location changes pickup time and sea time.

3) Ask about snorkeling guidance

Some trips have a guide who actually helps, points out marine life, and controls safety. Others just drop people in the water.

4) Ask if they follow dolphin etiquette

No chasing. No jumping on top of them. No harassing. It’s safer and it gives better sightings.

5) Look for realistic wording

If someone “guarantees” dolphins 100% or promises “touch dolphins”, that’s a red flag. Wild dolphins are not a product.

This is the same logic you should use across all Hurghada tours. The best deal is the one you enjoy, not the one that looks cheapest on paper.

Dolphin House Hurghada vs other dolphin trips (what’s the difference?)

You’ll hear a few similar names. Here’s how to understand them.

Dolphin House (Shaab El Erg)

  • Closer, popular, good chance to spot dolphins
  • More boats, especially in summer

“Dolphin watching” only

  • Sometimes shorter, fewer snorkeling stops
  • Not always worth it unless you really don’t want to snorkel

Sataya Reef (Dolphin House in Marsa Alam)

  • Famous for spinner dolphins
  • Usually a long transfer from Hurghada, more like an expedition
  • Amazing, but not the same “Hurghada day trip” vibe

If you’re staying in Hurghada and you want a smooth day on the sea, Dolphin House Hurghada is typically the right pick among things to do in Hurghada.

What to bring (so you don’t overpay on the boat)

Keep it simple:

  • Towel
  • Swimwear
  • Sunscreen (reef safe if you have it)
  • Hat and sunglasses
  • Dry clothes for the ride back
  • Phone waterproof pouch
  • Cash (small bills for fees, drinks, tips)
  • Light jacket in winter, it gets windy on the boat

If you get seasick, take medication 30 to 60 minutes before boarding. Don’t wait until you feel it.

Safety, rules, and how to avoid scams

This section saves holidays. Seriously.

Common scam 1: “Marine fee” surprise

Sometimes there is a legit fee. Sometimes it’s inflated. Solution: confirm in writing if the fee is included.

Common scam 2: low price, then equipment charges

You book cheap, then they charge for mask, fins, life jacket. Solution: ask what equipment is included and the exact rental prices.

Common scam 3: too many boats, chaotic dolphin chasing

This is not just annoying, it’s unsafe. Solution: choose an operator that limits group size and follows rules.

Common scam 4: fake “VIP”

VIP should mean fewer people, better service, better boat. If it’s the same crowded boat with a different sticker, it’s not VIP.

Pair Dolphin House with other Hurghada tours (smart itinerary ideas)

If you’re in Hurghada for 4 to 7 days, Dolphin House is amazing, but it shouldn’t be your only day. Mix sea days with desert and culture.

Here are three strong add ons, all popular with our travelers:

1) Quad bike safari Hurghada (desert sunset)

If you want something totally different from the sea day, do a desert ride. It’s dusty, loud, fun, and the sunset looks unreal.

Book it here: quad bike safari Hurghada
Best for: friends, couples, anyone bored of hotel routine.
Why it’s worth it: quick adrenaline, plus a real taste of the desert landscape.

2) Parasailing adventure

For those who crave an adrenaline rush while enjoying breathtaking views of the Red Sea and its surroundings, parasailing is an excellent choice. You can book your Parasailing adventure here.

3) Semi-submarine exploration

Want to explore the underwater world without getting wet? The semi-submarine tour offers a unique opportunity to observe marine life up close. Discover this unique experience by booking the Panorama semi-submarine tour.

4) Discover Scuba Diving

If you’ve always wanted to dive into the underwater world of the Red Sea but don’t know how to swim or dive yet, fear not! Our Discover Scuba Diving package is perfect for beginners.

2) Cairo day trip from Hurghada (Pyramids day)

Yes it’s a long day. Yes it’s tiring. And yes, people still say it’s the highlight of the trip. Pyramids, Sphinx, Egyptian Museum. Classic.

Book your Cairo day trip from Hurghada now to secure your spot!
Best for: first timers in Egypt.
Why it’s worth it: you don’t come to Egypt every year, so you might as well see the icons.

3) Luxor day trip from Hurghada (history and temples)

Luxor is more “ancient Egypt” than Cairo in a way. Temples, Valley of the Kings, massive columns, stories everywhere.

Book your Luxor day trip from Hurghada now for an unforgettable experience!
Best for: history lovers, photographers.
Why it’s worth it: it feels like walking inside a documentary.

These are some of the most booked Hurghada excursions, and they balance perfectly with a Dolphin House sea day or a Paradise Island snorkeling trip. Mix and match these excursions to ensure your holiday feels full, not repetitive.

Book your Hurghada tour now if you already know your dates. Waiting until the last day usually means fewer good options.

Dolphin House for families with kids (what to expect)

Families do Dolphin House all the time, and it can be fantastic. But set it up right.

Good news

  • Kids love the boat day.
  • Life jackets are usually available.
  • Shallow snorkeling areas exist at some stops (depends on conditions).

Things to double check

  • Is the trip suitable for non swimmers?
  • Is there a shaded area on the boat?
  • Do they have a patient snorkeling guide?

If you have very young kids, consider VIP or private. Not because of luxury. Just because crowd control is easier and you can keep the day calm.

Dolphin House for non swimmers (yes, you can still go)

You don’t have to be a strong swimmer to enjoy Dolphin House.

You can:

  • Stay on the boat and watch
  • Use a life jacket and float at the surface
  • Hold a lifebuoy line if available
  • Ask the guide for the easiest entry point

Just be honest about your level. A good crew will help you feel safe.

This is one reason Dolphin House stays high on the list of things to do in Hurghada. It’s flexible.

Environmental note (quick but important)

Dolphin House is a beautiful place. It’s also under pressure from tourism. If you care even a little, do these small things:

  • Don’t touch coral
  • Don’t feed fish
  • Keep distance from dolphins
  • Don’t throw anything in the sea

It keeps the reef healthy. It keeps the dolphins coming back. Everybody wins.

What is Dolphin House Hurghada and why is it a must-visit tour in 2026?

Dolphin House Hurghada refers to the dolphin area around Shaab El Erg, often called ‘Dolphin Reef’, near Hurghada and El Gouna. It’s one of the most popular Hurghada excursions because it offers a full day of snorkeling, the chance to see wild dolphins in their natural habitat (not in captivity), and the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful Red Sea. This tour is perfect for couples, families, friends, and solo travelers looking for an authentic marine experience.

When is the best time to go on a Dolphin House trip in Hurghada?

Most Dolphin House tours start early in the morning, typically with hotel pickups between 8:00 to 9:00 am. Lunch is served onboard buffet-style with options like rice, pasta, chicken or fish, salads, and soft drinks. Some boats offer optional water sports such as banana boat rides or sofa rides before returning to the marina by mid-afternoon and hotel drop-off.

Orange Bay Boat Trip: How to Compare What Is Included

Compare an Orange Bay boat trip by beach time, snorkeling stops, equipment and hotel transfers before choosing your day on the Red Sea.

Orange Bay boat trip: listed inclusions and extras

The standard Orange Bay trip is €25 per adult and €15 per child aged 4–10, approximately eight hours with about two hours on the island, two planned snorkeling stops, equipment, lunch, drinks and Hurghada hotel transfers. Water activities depend on conditions. Makadi Bay/Sahl Hasheesh transfers add €5 per person; Soma Bay/Safaga/El Gouna add €10 per person. Confirm your exact hotel and the full booking total before the trip.

Operator-confirmed booking terms — child pricing updated 23 September 2026: For our per-person tours, ages 0–3 inclusive travel free and ages 4–10 inclusive pay half the adult fare; age 11+ pays the adult fare. Exceptions: Orange Bay, Paradise Island and Safari charge a fixed €15 for ages 4–10; massage/spa charges the full adult price for children; Cairo and Luxor use the child price stated for each tour, including their own infant rules. A whole-boat charter is charged per boat, and children count toward its capacity. Activity eligibility is separate from the fare. Payment is made when the trip takes place. If you are in Hurghada and you ask 10 people what to do first, at least half will say “Orange Bay”. And they are not wrong.

However, the pricing for the same Orange Bay Hurghada boat trip can vary significantly, sometimes even doubling. Additionally, the experience can also be completely different. One boat feels organized and relaxed, while another feels like a floating bus with rushed stops and extra fees everywhere.

This guide compares the current listed program and the details to confirm in competing offers.

Suitability depends on the actual activity, conditions and each guest. Confirm the operator’s requirements, equipment and assistance; no option is risk-free.

Why Orange Bay remains one of the best Hurghada tours in 2026

Orange Bay is located in the Giftun Islands area, renowned for its shallow turquoise waters, soft sand, and a “Maldives for a day” vibe. While it’s not a hidden gem, its popularity is well-deserved.

A typical good Orange Bay day includes:

  • A relaxed boat ride on the Red Sea
  • One or two snorkeling stops on reefs (often the real highlight)
  • Time spent on the Orange Bay beach area with sunbeds and umbrellas
  • Lunch on board, plus soft drinks in many packages
  • A full day out without needing to plan anything

For first-time visitors, it is one of the safest “no regrets” things to do in Hurghada. For couples, it’s easy and photogenic. For families, it’s manageable as long as you choose the right boat and timing. For snorkel lovers, it offers a solid entry-level day.

And if you’re planning a week filled with Hurghada tours, this experience fits perfectly between desert adventures like Super Safari and city explorations. You might also consider adding some variety to your itinerary with unique experiences such as Parasailing or Panorama Semi-Submarine, both of which offer distinct perspectives of the beautiful Red Sea.

Orange Bay Hurghada boat trip overview (what the day actually looks like)

Every operator will describe it in a slightly different way, but most days follow a similar rhythm.

Typical schedule (approximate)

  • 08:00 to 09:30 hotel pickup depending on your area
  • 09:30 to 10:30 boat departure and sailing
  • 10:30 to 12:30 snorkeling stops (usually 1 to 2 stops)
  • 12:30 to 13:30 lunch on board
  • 13:30 to 15:30 Orange Bay island time
  • 15:30 to 17:00 return sailing and transfer back

Some boats swap the island and lunch timing. Some add a banana boat or sofa ride. Some do 3 stops, but that can also mean less time at each stop.

If you hate rushing, prioritize trips that clearly mention longer island time.

Best deals 2026: real price ranges (and what changes the price)

The confirmed standard trip is described above. No separate budget, VIP or private-yacht offer is established by this article. Compare actual capacity, itinerary and inclusions in a written quote.

What should be included (and what is often an extra fee)

This is where people get surprised on the day. A “cheap” Orange Bay deal can become not so cheap once you pay for three little add ons.

Usually included in a proper Orange Bay boat trip

  • Hotel pickup and drop off in Hurghada
  • Boat cruise
  • Snorkeling guide (not a private instructor, but supervision)
  • Lunch on board
  • Orange Bay island entry (in many packages, but always confirm)
  • Soft drinks and water (sometimes limited)
  • Life jackets

Common extras you should ask about before booking

  • National park fees (sometimes charged separately)
  • Towels (bring your own)
  • Alcohol (usually extra)

If a seller avoids answering what is included, that is already a red flag. With professional Hurghada tours, you should be able to see it clearly before you pay.

Cheap vs VIP Orange Bay: which one is actually worth it?

Some people book the cheapest option and are happy. Others regret it by 11 am when the boat feels packed and loud.

Here is the honest breakdown.

Cheap group trip: best for

  • Solo travelers on a tight budget
  • People who do not care about crowds
  • Anyone who mainly wants island photos and a quick snorkel

VIP / small group: best for

  • Couples who want a calmer day
  • Families with kids who need space
  • Travelers who get seasick easily (less chaos, better crew help)
  • Anyone who wants the day to feel like a holiday, not a queue

If holiday time is limited, compare the full program and comfort details before choosing how many excursions to book.

How to avoid scams and overpaying (the quick checklist)

Use this list:

1) If the price is unbelievably low, expect paid extras

A super cheap Orange Bay price often means:

  • island entry is extra
  • equipment rental is extra
  • transfer is extra
  • lunch is basic or limited

2) Ask one simple question: “How long on the island?”

If they cannot answer clearly, expect a rushed stop.

Shallow water and beach seating at Orange Bay
Orange Bay beach setting from the site library. Beach layout and available seating can change.

3) Confirm pickup location and time in writing

Especially if you are in El Gouna, Sahl Hasheesh, Makadi Bay, or Soma Bay. Some operators charge extra.

4) Do not pay full cash to a random person on the street

Book through a platform that lists the tour clearly and supports you if something goes wrong. That is the whole point of using a proper booking site for Hurghada excursions.

If you want to keep it simple, use Hurghada Travels: https://hurghadatravels.com/tours/
And if you want the fastest help, WhatsApp the team with your hotel name and number of people.

Best time to do Orange Bay (weather, sea, crowds)

Orange Bay runs most of the year, but your experience changes a lot by season.

Spring (March to May)

Spring can be a comfortable season for sea activities; check the forecast and water conditions for your dates.

Summer (June to August)

Hot. Beautiful sea. Also peak crowds. VIP boats sell out faster. If you come in summer, book early and consider upgrading.

Autumn (September to November)

Still warm, water is lovely, and crowds drop again. This is another top period for best tours in Hurghada.

Winter (December to February)

Sunny days, but wind can cancel trips occasionally. Water is cooler. Still doable and often cheaper.

Also, pay attention to wind. A windy day makes the sea choppy, and some people get seasick even if they normally do not.

What to bring (so you do not pay extra or feel uncomfortable)

This is a boat day, not a hotel pool day. Pack like it.

  • Towel
  • Swimwear plus a light cover up
  • Sunscreen (reef safe if possible)
  • Sunglasses and hat
  • Cash for small extras and tips
  • Waterproof phone pouch
  • Light jacket in winter or windy days
  • If you snorkel a lot, your own mask helps a lot

Snorkeling at Orange Bay: what you can realistically see

Orange Bay itself is more about the beach and shallow lagoon feel. The best snorkeling is usually at the stops the boat makes before or after the island.

Two snorkelers wearing masks at the surface

Expect:

  • Colorful reef fish, sometimes big schools
  • Corals in many shapes (please do not touch)
  • Occasional rays or sea turtles if you are lucky

If snorkeling is your main reason for coming to Egypt, you might also want to look at dedicated best snorkeling tours in Hurghada here: https://hurghadatravels.com/tours/
Those trips focus less on island time and more on reef time.

And yes, Orange Bay is popular enough that reviews are easy to find. You can see general traveler feedback on TripAdvisor too: https://www.tripadvisor.com/

Who Orange Bay is best for (and who might skip it)

Perfect for

  • First time Hurghada visitors
  • Couples who want a pretty day trip
  • Groups of friends
  • Families, if you pick a calmer boat
  • Anyone building a list of “classic” things to do in Hurghada

Maybe skip if

  • You hate touristy places completely
  • You want hardcore diving rather than casual snorkeling
  • You cannot handle boats at all, even short rides

If you are in the “skip” category, you might enjoy a desert tour more. For example, a quad bike safari Hurghada day is totally different energy and no sea involved. You can check options here: https://hurghadatravels.com/tours/

How to book Orange Bay the smart way (and what to ask before you reserve)

Before you click pay for something like the Orange Bay snorkeling tour, ask these questions or check the tour page details:

  • Is hotel transfer included from my area?
  • Are snorkeling mask and fins included?
  • Is Orange Bay entry included?
  • How long is the island stop?
  • How many snorkeling stops, and where roughly?
  • Is the boat large and crowded, or limited group size?

If you do not want to do detective work, book with a clear tour listing that already answers these. Start here: https://hurghadatravels.com/tours/

Book your Hurghada tour now if you already know your travel dates. Orange Bay spots do sell out in peak season.

Recommended Hurghada tours to combine with Orange Bay (so your week makes sense)

Most travelers do not want seven boat trips in a row. You want variety. Here are a few Hurghada tours that pair really well with Orange Bay, especially if you are staying 4 to 10 days.

If you’re looking for some adventure beyond snorkeling, consider trying out scuba diving which is another popular activity in Hurghada.

1) Orange Bay + snorkeling focused day (if you love reefs)

Do Orange Bay as your “relax and photos” day, then another day choose a tour that is purely about reefs and snorkeling time. For an incredible underwater experience, consider the Dolphin House snorkeling trip in Hurghada.

Best for: snorkel lovers, active travelers
Why it is worth booking: more reef time, usually more serious guides

2) Desert contrast day: Quad bike safari

After a sea day, the desert feels like another planet. Sunset rides are especially good. Check out the quad bike safari options in Hurghada for an adventurous experience.

Best for: adventure seekers, groups, people bored of beaches
Why it is worth booking: completely different scenery, great photos, fun energy

3) One big history day: Cairo or Luxor

If you only do beaches in Egypt, you miss the bigger story. A day trip is long, yes, but unforgettable.

  • Cairo day trip from Hurghada (Pyramids, Sphinx, museum depending on itinerary): Cairo day trip from Hurghada
Best for: first timers in Egypt, bucket list travelers
Why it is worth booking: it is Cairo. It is the Pyramids. You will remember it.
  • Luxor day trip from Hurghada (Valley of the Kings, Karnak, temples): Luxor day trip from Hurghada
    Best for: history lovers, photographers
Why it is worth booking: Luxor is basically an open air museum

Orange Bay with kids: what parents should know

Orange Bay can be very family friendly. But pick wisely.

Tips that genuinely help:

  • Choose a less crowded boat if possible. Kids get overwhelmed fast on packed decks.
  • Bring your own kid sized snorkel mask if you have it.
  • Ask if there is shade on the boat and on the island seating.
  • Bring snacks. Lunch is usually fine, but kids always get hungry at weird times.
  • If your child is not a swimmer, confirm life jackets are available in the right size.

For families, mid range or VIP style Hurghada tours are usually the better value, because you avoid stress.

Private Orange Bay boat: is it worth it?

If you are 6 to 10 people, private can actually make sense. It sounds expensive until you divide it.

Private is worth it when:

  • You want to control the music, timing, and stops
  • You want a quieter day, especially for couples or families
  • You want better photos without strangers in every frame
  • You want to avoid “assembly line” tourism

Downside is obvious, cost. Also, you should book with a trusted company so the boat quality matches the photos.

If you are considering private, just message Hurghada Travels on WhatsApp with your group size and hotel, they can suggest the right option and price. Or start browsing here: https://hurghadatravels.com/tours/

Orange Bay planning and booking links

Questions before you book

Does the standard Orange Bay trip include scuba diving?

No. The standard snorkeling trip and an island-and-diving combination are different products. Match the exact program name to your booking confirmation.

How much island time does the standard listing describe?

It describes about two hours on Orange Bay during a day of approximately eight hours, with two planned snorkeling stops. Sea conditions can affect the running order; confirm the day’s program.

How can two Orange Bay offers be compared fairly?

Use the same date and hotel area, then compare island entry, beach time, snorkeling stops, meals and the full transfer total. A lower headline price alone does not establish better value.

1. Hurghada excursion prices 2026: current list

The following shared sea and desert fares use ages 11+ for the first price and ages 4–10 for the child price. Ages 0–3 have a free fare on these listed programs, but a free or child ticket does not establish suitability for diving, flying, driving or entering the sea. Send every child’s age and confirm the actual activity arrangements.

Shared program Ages 11+ Ages 4–10 Approximate duration
Orange Bay snorkeling €25 €15 About 8 hours
Paradise Island snorkeling €25 €15 About 8 hours
Dolphin House snorkeling €25 €15 About 8 hours
Two introductory scuba dives €30 €15 About 7 hours
Orange Bay + one intro dive €30 €15 About 8 hours
Panorama semi-submarine €25 €15 About 3 hours
Parasailing €25 €25 About 1.5 hours total; flight 10–15 minutes
Panorama + parasailing €50 €25 About 4 hours
Three-hour quad safari €25 €15 About 3 hours
Super Safari €25 €15 About 6–7 hours
Parasailing + quad safari €50 €15 About 5 hours
Panorama + quad safari €50 €15 About 6 hours

Durations describe the listed program, not continuous activity time. Parasailing has a much shorter flight than its complete outing; the three-hour safari includes preparation and stops. Ask for your hotel pickup and expected return separately.

For the Cairo and Luxor programs listed here, guests aged 10 and above pay the adult fare. Children aged 4–9 pay the child fare shown for that specific tour. Infants aged 0–3 pay €20 on the Cairo Tahrir Museum bus, Cairo GEM bus or Luxor bus; €35 on the Cairo Tahrir Museum mini bus (Hiace) or Luxor mini bus (Hiace); and €40 on the Cairo GEM mini bus (Hiace). Provide every traveler’s age when booking; the sea-trip rule of free ages 0–3 does not apply to these historical excursions.

Private boat and spa: different pricing units

Program Published price What the unit means
Private speedboat €150 Whole boat for 1–6 guests; children count within capacity
Cleopatra Spa €25 Per adult or child receiving massage; an accompanying child without massage is free

These are prices for the linked programs, not estimated market averages or a promise that every similarly named excursion has the same inclusions. There is no automatic discount in this list for booking several tours.

2. Hurghada excursion prices 2026: compare sea-trip inclusions

Orange Bay sea trip in the Hurghada excursion prices 2026 guide
Orange Bay arrival from the Hurghada Travels photo album. Check the live product for the current fare and inclusions.

Orange Bay and Paradise Island are both €25 for ages 11+ and €15 for ages 4–10. Each current program combines a boat day, two reef snorkeling stops, island time, lunch, drinks, snorkeling equipment and Hurghada hotel transfers. Allow approximately eight hours overall, including around two hours at the island under the planned program. Sea conditions and operations can affect the day’s order.

Choose the island you want rather than assuming both islands are included in one ticket. Banana Boat or water activities remain conditional on the listed program and operating conditions. A sofa ride, unlimited games or a floating water park is not automatically part of either ticket.

Dolphin House also costs €25 for ages 11+, but its child fare is €15 for ages 4–10. The approximately eight-hour program has three planned snorkeling stops, lunch, drinks, equipment and Hurghada transfers. It is a wild-dolphin search and snorkeling day; neither a sighting nor swimming beside dolphins is guaranteed by the price.

Company-album photograph. Compare the actual boat program, included stops and hotel transfer before choosing a fare.

The €30 introductory diving ticket has two supervised introductory dives for eligible participants during an approximately seven-hour boat day. The €30 Orange Bay diving combination instead has one introductory dive plus snorkeling and island time over approximately eight hours. Both include the listed equipment, lunch, drinks and Hurghada transfer. Neither is a certification course or a promise of a particular underwater depth.

Read the scuba program comparison before choosing between those two €30 tickets. A child fare does not grant permission to dive; screening, equipment fit and the diving team’s approval still apply. Certified-diver requests and courses need their own confirmed arrangements.

The €25 Panorama program offers a below-water viewing cabin on a vessel that stays at the surface, a diver show and an optional snorkeling stop. Equipment, a drink and Hurghada transfer are listed; lunch is not. It is not a fully submerging submarine. Our semi-submarine guide explains the experience and boarding questions.

3. Hurghada excursion prices 2026: understand the €150 private boat total

Private speedboat included in the Hurghada excursion prices 2026 comparison
The current private speedboat base fare is for the whole boat for one to six guests, not a per-person ticket.

The current private speedboat program costs €150 total whether one guest or six guests join. Children are included in the six-person capacity. This is not €150 per passenger and not a larger boat for more than six simply because some passengers are children.

Guests sharing Whole-boat base total Arithmetic share per guest
1 €150 €150
2 €150 €75
3 €150 €50
4 €150 €37.50
5 €150 €30
6 €150 €25

The right-hand column only shows how a group could divide the same €150 total. It is not a separately sold shared ticket. One guest still pays the boat total; six guests do not receive six independent departures.

Allow approximately four hours for the dolphin-search and snorkeling program. The listed inclusions are captain, snorkeling equipment, life jackets, fruit, water and soft drinks, with Hurghada hotel transfer. The boat has a toilet and fresh-water shower. A full meal, scuba diving, an eight-hour charter or an unrestricted custom route is not included by this price.

Orange Bay is an optional addition at €10 per visitor, subject to confirmation. For four visitors choosing it, the arithmetic is €150 + €40 = €190 before any outside-Hurghada transfer supplement or other agreed purchase. Ask for the full party’s island charge rather than treating the option as part of the base €150.

Company media-library photograph. The published €150 is the total for the booked private boat, for one to six guests.

Use the private speedboat price guide for detailed examples and the private boat program guide for the route and inclusions. A private booking still depends on weather, access and the captain’s operational decisions; paying for privacy does not guarantee wildlife or every requested stop.

4. Hurghada excursion prices 2026: safari and combination tickets

Red Sea underwater view when comparing Panorama combination excursion prices
Red Sea underwater view from the site media library. Panorama can be booked alone or in selected combination programs.

The three-hour quad trip and the six-to-seven-hour Super Safari both have a €25 age-11+ fare and €15 child fare. Their content differs. The three-hour trip follows an approximately 60-kilometer quad route, with a Bedouin village, short camel ride and tea. Super Safari combines quad biking, Spider Buggy and a 4×4 Jeep segment with the village, camel ride, tea, BBQ dinner and an oriental show.

Do not describe the three-hour ticket as including the Super Safari dinner or the complete three hours as uninterrupted driving. Ask how your party is allocated to vehicles; a per-person fare does not itself confirm that every child gets a separate quad or buggy.

Helmets and the briefing are part of the listed safari arrangements. Bring your own scarf and protective goggles; these are not included. The program permits driving from age ten only with the guide’s safety approval. Younger children participate with an accompanying adult, and the party’s suitability must be confirmed rather than inferred from a free fare.

Helmeted quad riders waiting in line at a safari station
Company-album photograph. Compare driving time, stops, vehicle allocation and dinner rather than choosing only by the headline fare.

The combination tickets also differ: Panorama plus parasailing is €50 for ages 11+ and €25 for ages 4–10; parasailing plus safari and Panorama plus safari are each €50 and €15. The child fare is therefore not the same across every €50 package. Flight eligibility and driving eligibility remain separate from the ticket category.

The water sports package comparison sets out the sea combinations. Use the desert safari guide for the desert program. A combination is convenient only if its actual activities and schedule fit your group; it does not automatically include lunch, extra games or photo packages.

5. Hurghada excursion prices 2026: compare Cairo and Luxor fares

Grand Egyptian Museum when comparing Hurghada excursion prices 2026
Grand Egyptian Museum. Cairo fares differ by museum and by bus versus mini bus.

Cairo with the Egyptian Museum in Tahrir and Giza costs €65 per adult by bus or €80 by mini bus. Cairo with the Grand Egyptian Museum and Giza costs €80 by bus or €95 by mini bus. The Tahrir Museum and GEM are different museums: choose the itinerary that names the museum you want.

The shared bus programs have a maximum of 30 guests and the mini-bus programs a maximum of eight. A smaller shared group is still shared; the mini-bus fare does not purchase a private vehicle. Allow around 17 hours for the complete Cairo road day, with traffic, rest stops and operations affecting the return.

Both Cairo museum variants include their listed standard museum and Giza Plateau admissions, an Egyptologist guide, lunch, drinks and Hurghada transfer. Entering the Great Pyramid requires an extra ticket. An optional Nile boat trip, if offered, is also extra. Do not add the museum admission again to a budget when that standard ticket is already included.

Luxor costs €65 per adult by bus or €80 by mini bus, with the child fares shown in the table. The program includes Karnak, the Valley of the Kings with three standard tombs, Hatshepsut Temple and the Colossi of Memnon, with an Egyptologist guide, standard admissions, lunch, drinks and Hurghada transfer. Allow approximately 15 hours.

Row of ram-headed sphinxes at Karnak Temple
Company media-library photograph of Karnak, one of the included sites on the current Luxor programs.

Special tombs such as Tutankhamun’s require a separate ticket if available; the optional Nile trip is not included. For background on the archaeological area, see UNESCO’s Ancient Thebes description. That heritage description does not determine the admissions included in an individual tour: use the booking page for those details.

6. Hurghada excursion prices 2026: spa price and child treatment

Cleopatra Spa costs €25 per adult and €25 for a child receiving massage. A child accompanying the family without massage is free. The current program includes sauna, steam, jacuzzi, Turkish bath, body scrub, foam massage and full-body massage, plus Hurghada hotel transfer.

Allow approximately two hours at the spa, with transfers taking additional time. Confirm the individual massage duration rather than treating the entire two-hour program as massage time. Extra treatments and personal purchases are additional. Send each child’s age and any relevant treatment requirements before confirming suitability and therapist or couples arrangements.

7. Hurghada excursion prices 2026: transfers and optional extras

Hurghada hotel pickup and return are included on the listed programs. Your resort address still matters: a hotel marketed as being in the Hurghada area may need a supplement. Give the exact hotel, rather than only the resort name or a map pin near the city.

The shared island, Dolphin House, Panorama, parasailing, Orange Bay diving, safari and listed combination pages quote €5 per person for Makadi Bay or Sahl Hasheesh and €10 per person for Soma Bay, Safaga or El Gouna. Confirm the complete party’s charge, including the treatment of any child or infant, in the final quote.

Do not copy those supplements to every product. The two-introductory-dive trip, private speedboat, spa, Cairo and Luxor pages require an outside-Hurghada transfer quote. Their hotel supplement must be confirmed specifically.

Other possible budget items include optional photos, special-entry historical tickets, an optional Nile boat ride, the private boat’s Orange Bay addition and personal purchases. Ask for the price and what is supplied before accepting an extra. A lower or higher headline price alone does not prove a difference in safety, quality or included admissions.

8. Hurghada excursion prices 2026: build a realistic budget

Calculate from named programs and actual travelers, not a generic daily spending range. These examples use the current base fares for guests aged 11+ on the sea/desert activities and adults on historical tours. They exclude supplements and optional purchases, and are separate-booking arithmetic rather than discounted packages.

  • Two adults, one Orange Bay day: €25 × 2 = €50.
  • Two adults and one eight-year-old, Orange Bay: €25 + €25 + €15 = €65, before any transfer supplement.
  • One adult, three different activity days: Orange Bay €25 + three-hour quad safari €25 + Luxor bus €65 = €115.
  • Two adults, the same three separate trips: €115 × 2 = €230.
  • One adult choosing smaller-group history: Orange Bay €25 + Super Safari €25 + Luxor mini bus €80 + GEM mini bus €95 = €225 across four outings.
  • Six guests sharing the private speedboat: €150 total before optional additions; the arithmetic share is €25 each.

Give long Cairo and Luxor road days enough room in your holiday. A cheap-looking schedule is poor value if it puts a late return immediately before an early departure you cannot comfortably manage. Check actual timings before paying for several excursions, and plan scuba diving around the diving team’s flying-after-diving guidance.

To compare two quotes, line up the same date, travelers, hotel, named program, duration, group type, admissions, meal, drinks, equipment and optional extras. Check whether a price is per person, per vehicle or per whole boat. Then compare the final payable totals in the same currency.

This guide uses euros throughout. If you want to pay in another currency, ask which currency is accepted and obtain the exact payable amount and any conversion or payment charge before confirmation. Do not treat a euro price as the same number in pounds sterling or US dollars.

9. Hurghada excursion prices 2026: confirm the total and cancellation terms

Send the selected program link, date, hotel, number of guests and every child’s age. Add questions about access, dietary needs or participation before the booking is finalized. Ask for a written total separating the base fare, hotel supplement and optional additions you have chosen.

The confirmation should identify the program, travelers, included services, meeting or hotel pickup arrangements, payment amount and terms. Avoid relying on vague labels such as VIP, luxury or all-inclusive without the corresponding details. Availability and an agreed pickup time still need confirmation.

The current policy gives a full refund for cancellation received at least 24 hours before the confirmed tour start. Later cancellations and no-shows are non-refundable. Deadlines use local time in Egypt. A date-change request received at least 24 hours before the start has no change fee, subject to availability, any price difference and confirmation of the new date.

If the company cancels, including for unsafe weather, you may choose an available alternative date or a full refund. Any non-refundable ticket or committed-cost exception must be disclosed before payment. Read the full cancellation and date-change terms and keep your booking confirmation.

Sharm El Naga is currently unavailable through us. This price list does not offer it for booking. It also does not invent prices for Cairo flights, city tours, aquarium entry, independent beach access or other activities without a current matching booking program.

Do Hurghada excursion prices 2026 list the private speedboat at €150 per person?

No. It is €150 total for the whole boat for one to six guests, with children counting within that capacity. The total remains €150 for one guest or six.

Do Hurghada excursion prices 2026 include Orange Bay in the €150 private boat?

No. The sea and desert child fares vary by product, historical tour age arrangements need confirmation, and the spa charges €25 for a child receiving massage while an accompanying child without massage is free.

Do Hurghada excursion prices 2026 make infants free on Cairo and Luxor trips?

No. Orange Bay Hurghada beach Red Sea

Best Hurghada Excursions: 10 Useful Planning Checks

The best Hurghada excursions are the ones that fit your interests, available time and group. Choose an island boat day for reefs and beach time, a quad or safari program for the desert, Cairo or Luxor for ancient sites, or a shorter marine activity when you want to keep part of the day free.

This guide compares the actual Hurghada Travels programs checked on 27 September 2026. Many shared sea and desert activities cost €25 for ages 11+, introductory diving costs €30, and historical bus tours start at €65 per adult. The private speedboat is €150 for the whole boat for one to six guests, including children within capacity.

Use the current excursion price list for all 20 program prices, child fares and budget examples. Here the priority is choosing the experience and understanding the differences before booking. No activity is automatically suitable for every age, swimming ability or access need.

1. Choose the best Hurghada excursions for your available time

Start with the part of your holiday you most want to experience. Then compare the complete outing, including transfers and preparation, with the time you actually have. A ten-to-fifteen-minute parasailing flight does not mean a fifteen-minute hotel-to-hotel trip.

  • Island and reef day: Orange Bay or Paradise Island, approximately eight hours.
  • Snorkeling with a wild-dolphin search: Dolphin House, approximately eight hours, without a sighting guarantee.
  • Trying scuba: two introductory dives over approximately seven hours, or Orange Bay with one introductory dive over approximately eight hours.
  • Underwater viewing without compulsory snorkeling: Panorama semi-submarine, approximately three hours.
  • Short flight experience: parasailing, approximately one and a half hours overall, with a ten-to-fifteen-minute flight.
  • Private small-group sea outing: the approximately four-hour private speedboat for one to six guests.
  • Desert: a three-hour quad safari or six-to-seven-hour Super Safari with several activities and dinner.
  • Ancient sites: approximately fifteen hours for Luxor or seventeen for Cairo.
  • Spa: approximately two hours at Cleopatra Spa, plus hotel transfers.

These durations are planning estimates. Ask for the pickup and expected return for your own hotel. A long excursion should be the main activity of that day; do not add another fixed departure unless the timing has been checked or the activities are sold as a coordinated combination.

2. Compare island and dolphin-search boat days

Orange Bay or Paradise Island

The Orange Bay snorkeling trip and Paradise Island snorkeling trip each combine a boat journey, two planned reef snorkeling stops, island time, snorkeling equipment, lunch, drinks and Hurghada hotel transfers. Each current program is approximately eight hours, including around two hours at the island under the planned schedule.

Choose the island experience you prefer. These are separate programs; a ticket for one does not include both islands. Water activities are conditional on the program and operating conditions. Do not choose a trip on the assumption that a floating aqua park, sofa ride or unlimited games is guaranteed.

Both have a €25 fare for ages 11+, €15 for ages 4–10 and a free fare for ages 0–3. A free fare does not establish suitability for entering the sea. Explain the group’s swimming confidence, equipment and supervision needs before booking, particularly when traveling with children.

Snorkeler above a coral reef while comparing the best Hurghada excursions
Company-album photograph. Island boat programs combine reef stops and beach time; participation and conditions need checking separately.

Read the Orange Bay planning guide for island-specific questions, or the snorkeling program comparison when you are deciding between a reef-focused day, island time and a private boat. A second boat trip can be enjoyable, but it should add something your group wants rather than repeat the same holiday day unintentionally.

Dolphin House

The Dolphin House snorkeling trip is a different choice: approximately eight hours with three planned snorkeling stops and a search for wild dolphins. Equipment, lunch, drinks and Hurghada transfers are included. Its published fares are €25 for ages 11+, €15 for ages 4–10 and free for ages 0–3.

Book it for the snorkeling program as well as the possibility of wildlife. Wild dolphins cannot be guaranteed, and an encounter is not permission to chase or touch animals. Weather, marine conditions and the crew’s decisions can affect the route and participation.

3. Choose an introductory diving program

The two-introductory-dive boat trip is the current approximately seven-hour option focused on trying scuba. It includes professional supervision, required equipment, lunch, drinks and Hurghada hotel transfer. It is an introductory experience, not a certification course.

The Orange Bay and introductory diving combination instead divides an approximately eight-hour day between an island visit, snorkeling and one introductory dive for eligible participants. Both programs have a €30 age-11+ fare and €15 for ages 4–10, with a free fare for ages 0–3. The fare category does not grant permission for a child to dive.

Choose the two-dive trip when the introduction to scuba is your main interest. Choose the island combination when you want the island day as well and understand that it includes one introductory dive. Do not assume that equal headline prices mean identical programs.

Tell the diving team your age, relevant experience, water confidence and screening information before confirmation. Eligibility, equipment fit and the instructor’s approval matter. Certified-diver outings, courses, wreck visits and private scuba arrangements need their own confirmed program; they are not automatically included in these introductory tickets.

Our scuba diving guide explains the programs and flight-planning considerations. The first-dive preparation guide covers questions for the briefing and equipment session. Resolve the interval before your flight with the diving professional before booking, rather than putting scuba on your departure day without checking.

4. Consider shorter marine activities

Panorama semi-submarine

The Panorama semi-submarine provides underwater-window viewing from a cabin below sea level while the vessel remains at the surface. The approximately three-hour program includes a diver show, an optional snorkeling stop, equipment, a drink and Hurghada transfer. Lunch is not included.

At €25 for ages 11+ and €15 for ages 4–10, it can suit a group interested in viewing without compulsory swimming. Ages 0–3 have a free fare. Ask about boarding, steps and cabin access if mobility is a concern; “no swimming required” does not establish step-free access.

Parasailing

The parasailing program has a ten-to-fifteen-minute flight within an approximately one-and-a-half-hour outing, at €25 for ages 11+ and €15 for ages 4–10. The ticket’s age category does not confirm flight eligibility. Weather, weight, harness fit and the crew’s decision govern participation and single or tandem arrangements.

Read the parasailing guide before choosing a flight for children or a mixed group. A short duration does not make it the right activity for everyone, and photographs or additional sea games are separate unless explicitly included.

Coordinated combinations

Three current combinations link different experiences: Panorama plus parasailing is approximately four hours; parasailing plus three-hour safari approximately five; and Panorama plus three-hour safari approximately six. Each has a €50 age-11+ fare, but their child fares differ.

The package-inclusions comparison explains those differences. Confirm every participant’s eligibility for each section; suitability for the cabin does not establish suitability for flying or driving. Choose a combination because you want both activities, not because the title implies every water or desert activity is included.

5. Decide whether a private boat fits

The private speedboat is a specific approximately four-hour dolphin-search and snorkeling program. It costs €150 for the whole boat for one to six guests. Children count within the six-person capacity. The price stays €150 whether one guest or six join.

The listed inclusions are captain, snorkeling equipment, life jackets, fruit, water, soft drinks and Hurghada hotel transfer. The boat has a toilet and fresh-water shower. Orange Bay is an optional addition at €10 per visitor, subject to confirmation. A full meal, scuba diving or an eight-hour yacht charter is not part of the base product.

Captain and passengers aboard a private speedboat
Company media-library photograph. The current private program accommodates one to six guests, including children within that total.

Privacy means your booked group has the boat; it does not mean unrestricted choice of route, wildlife or timing. Discuss requests before confirmation and respect the captain’s operational decisions. Do not assume Abu Minqar or another named island is included unless it appears in the agreed program.

Compare the private boat guide with a shared island day. The private option may fit a small group seeking a shorter sea outing, while a shared island program includes its own full-day itinerary and lunch. There is no need to describe one as automatically cleaner, safer or better.

6. Compare quad riding and Super Safari

The three-hour quad safari focuses on an approximately sixty-kilometer route, with a briefing, test drive, helmet, Bedouin village visit, short camel ride, tea and Hurghada transfer. Three hours describes the program including preparation and stops, not uninterrupted driving.

The Super Safari program is approximately six to seven hours and combines quad biking, Spider Buggy, a 4×4 Jeep segment, the village, camel ride, tea, BBQ dinner and an oriental show. Choose it when several desert activities and dinner matter more to you than a dedicated quad route.

Helmeted quad riders waiting at a desert safari station
Company-album photograph. The briefing, vehicle allocation and guide approval are part of planning a desert activity.

Both have a €25 age-11+ fare and €15 for ages 4–10, with ages 0–3 on a free fare. Driving from age ten requires the guide’s safety approval; younger children participate with an accompanying adult. The fare does not determine driving permission or promise a separate vehicle for every child.

Bring your own scarf and protective goggles; they are not included. Ask about vehicle sharing and individual participation before booking. The exact sunset experience depends on season, conditions and the operating schedule, so do not treat a photograph as a guarantee of the timing.

Our desert safari comparison explains the differences in more detail. A separate stargazing program or private desert route should not be inferred from the presence of a Jeep or evening entertainment in Super Safari.

7. Choose Cairo or Luxor and the group size

Choose Cairo when your priority is the Giza Pyramids and a museum. Choose Luxor when your priority is temples and royal tombs. Both involve an early departure and a long road day; neither is a local half-day excursion simply because your hotel pickup is in Hurghada.

Cairo: choose the museum as well as the vehicle

The Tahrir Museum and Pyramids bus tour costs €65 per adult and €35 per child. Its mini-bus version costs €80 and €40. The Grand Egyptian Museum and Pyramids bus tour costs €80 and €40; the GEM mini-bus version costs €95 and €50.

Tahrir Museum and the Grand Egyptian Museum are different itineraries. Each includes the listed standard museum and Giza Plateau admissions, an Egyptologist guide, lunch, drinks and Hurghada transfer. Great Pyramid interior entry and an optional Nile boat trip, if offered, cost extra. Allow around seventeen hours overall.

Luxor: temples and three standard tombs

The Luxor bus program costs €65 per adult and €35 per child. The Luxor mini-bus program costs €80 and €40. Both cover Karnak, the Valley of the Kings with three standard tombs, Hatshepsut Temple and the Colossi of Memnon, with standard admissions, Egyptologist guide, lunch, drinks and Hurghada transfer.

Ram-headed sphinxes at Karnak Temple in Luxor
Company media-library photograph. Karnak is one of the sites in the current Luxor itineraries.

Allow approximately fifteen hours. Special tombs such as Tutankhamun’s require a separate ticket if available; an optional Nile boat trip is extra. The Luxor planning guide covers the day in more detail. For historical context, UNESCO’s Ancient Thebes page describes the archaeological area; your booked itinerary determines which admissions are included.

The shared historical buses have a maximum of thirty guests and mini buses a maximum of eight. A mini bus is a smaller shared group, not a private service. Give every child’s and infant’s age before confirmation: do not copy the sea-trip free-infant rules onto Cairo or Luxor.

8. Consider spa time, families and access needs

The Cleopatra Spa program is an alternative when you want a treatment-based outing. It includes sauna, steam, jacuzzi, Turkish bath, scrub, foam massage and full-body massage, plus Hurghada transfer. Allow approximately two hours at the spa, with transport additional; confirm the individual massage time separately.

The price is €25 per adult or child receiving massage. An accompanying child without massage is free. Discuss treatment suitability, relevant health considerations and any therapist or couples request before confirmation. Extra treatments are not automatically included.

For families, begin with actual ages, swimming confidence, attention span and tolerance for travel. Ask about equipment sizes, toilets, shade, meals and supervision. A child fare or a “family” description is not enough to determine suitability. Adults remain responsible for appropriate supervision even when guides are present.

For non-swimmers, Panorama offers viewing without compulsory snorkeling. Other boat days require a clear agreement about what a non-participant can do; flotation does not automatically make a water activity suitable. For access needs, ask about the vehicle, boarding, steps, walking and assistance on the exact departure.

9. Build a balanced holiday plan

The best Hurghada excursions for a short stay may be fewer, more distinct activities. An island trip already contains snorkeling and beach time, so a second generic snorkeling day may repeat much of it. Consider whether the next booking adds history, desert scenery, a private group setting or a different marine experience.

For a short break, one island or reef outing and one contrasting desert or historical day can leave time for the hotel. For a longer stay, spread demanding trips apart and keep a flexible day. Do not describe a packed sequence as guaranteed to be effortless for families or older travelers.

A seven-day example could be arrival and hotel time, an island day, a free day, a desert program, another free day, Cairo or Luxor, then time kept clear for departure. It is an example rather than a sold package. Change it around flight times, actual availability, conditions and the needs of your group.

If you are adding scuba, plan the flying interval with the diving team before fixing the date. If you want both Cairo and Luxor, consider time to recover between their long road days. Avoid purchasing several fixed departures before checking how they fit together.

10. Confirm hotel pickup and the complete booking

Searching for tours “near me” does not identify your hotel, the departure marina or a walkable meeting point. Send the exact hotel and chosen date. Hurghada hotel transfer is included on the listed programs, while resorts outside the city can have supplements that differ by product.

Do not copy another tour’s pickup time or resort charge. Check your named program, complete party, agreed pickup point and expected return. A private boat does not automatically imply a private hotel-transfer vehicle; any particular transport request should be confirmed explicitly.

Before payment, ask for the final total, currency, pricing unit, included admissions, equipment, meals, drinks, optional extras and cancellation terms. Confirm guide language and special requirements rather than assuming availability. Labels such as VIP or all-inclusive should be supported by actual details.

Our booking checklist provides further questions. Last-minute requests depend on available places and transport arrangements; submitting an enquiry does not reserve a departure. There is no automatic multi-tour discount or unrestricted customized itinerary promised by this guide.

Check the current cancellation and date-change terms and the confirmation for your booking. Sharm El Naga is currently unavailable through us. A Cairo flight, independent city sightseeing tour, true submarine or other activity without a matching current program should not be assumed bookable from this list.

Questions about the best Hurghada excursions

Which excursion should a first-time visitor choose?

Start with the experience you want most: an island and reef boat day, the desert, ancient sites or a shorter marine activity. Then check the full duration, participation requirements and hotel arrangements for your group.

Are Orange Bay and Paradise Island included together?

No. They are separate current booking programs, each with its own island visit and two planned snorkeling stops. Do not assume a ticket for one includes both.

Does Dolphin House guarantee dolphins?

No. Dolphins are wild animals. The booking is for the planned snorkeling and dolphin-search program, not a guaranteed sighting or swimming encounter.

What is the private speedboat capacity and price?

The current program is €150 for the whole boat for one to six guests, including children within the six-person capacity. It takes approximately four hours; optional additions and outside-Hurghada transfer charges need confirmation.

Is diving included in every snorkeling trip?

No. The two-introductory-dive program and the Orange Bay combination with one introductory dive are specific products. An island snorkeling ticket or private snorkeling boat is not automatically a scuba booking.

Can I view underwater life without snorkeling?

The Panorama semi-submarine offers underwater-window viewing and an optional snorkeling stop. The vessel stays at the surface. Confirm boarding and cabin access if you have mobility needs.

Is Super Safari the same as the three-hour quad trip?

No. The three-hour trip focuses on an approximately sixty-kilometer quad route and village stops. Super Safari combines several desert activities with BBQ dinner and an oriental show over approximately six to seven hours.

Does a child ticket mean a child can drive or fly?

No. Fare categories and activity eligibility are separate. Quad driving needs guide approval from age ten; parasailing needs crew approval based on the relevant conditions.

Which Cairo tour visits the Grand Egyptian Museum?

Choose a program explicitly naming GEM. The Tahrir Museum product visits a different museum. Both museum variants have bus and smaller shared mini-bus options.

Does a mini bus mean a private Cairo or Luxor tour?

No. The listed mini-bus programs are shared groups with a maximum of eight guests. A private service requires its own explicit confirmation.

Are all transfers included from every resort?

Hurghada hotel transfers are included on these programs. Outside-Hurghada hotels may require a supplement or specific quote, depending on the product. Provide the exact hotel before confirming the total.

Can I book several trips as a discounted package?

No automatic discount is promised. Ask for a written offer identifying each program, date, inclusions and total; the suggested holiday plan is not itself a package product.

Is Sharm El Naga currently available through Hurghada Travels?

No. It is currently unavailable through us. Choose a currently listed alternative after checking the actual experience and participation requirements.

How do I avoid booking repetitive excursions?

Compare the main activities and time allocation. An island boat day already includes snorkeling, so consider whether your next outing adds something different, such as desert activities, history, diving or a private group format.

Luxor day trip from Hurghada itineraries: confirmed shared programs

These Luxor day trip from Hurghada itineraries let you visit Karnak, the Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple and the Colossi of Memnon, then return to your Hurghada hotel. The important choice is how you travel and whether those four sites match your priorities. Both confirmed shared tours take about 15 hours overall; neither includes every attraction in Luxor.

Choose the bus tour for the lower published fare, or the small-group minibus for a shared group of no more than eight. The monument list is the same. A private vehicle, changed site order or extra temple requires a separately agreed arrangement.

Luxor day trip from Hurghada itineraries at Karnak Temple
Karnak is included in both shared programs; choose the vehicle separately from the site list.

Prices and program checked: 2 October 2026. The comparison below follows the current tour pages. Confirm availability, hotel pickup and the complete total for your date before booking.

Are these Luxor day trip from Hurghada itineraries right for your holiday?

Luxor day trip from Hurghada itineraries suit travelers who want ancient temples and royal tombs while keeping their Hurghada hotel as a base. Karnak’s columns, the decorated tomb interiors and Hatshepsut’s terraces offer different experiences within one outing. You do not need to change hotels, but you do need to be comfortable with a long road excursion and walking at several sites.

Visitor beside a monumental statue at Karnak Temple
The scale of Karnak is part of the experience. Allow for walking during the temple visits.

A smaller vehicle does not remove the long journey or make every site accessible. If you need frequent breaks, step-free access or a child seat, describe your requirements before reserving. Ask which arrangements can actually be provided. For wider historical context, UNESCO’s Ancient Thebes and its Necropolis overview explains how the temples and burial grounds relate to one another.

Leave some flexibility in the rest of your holiday. Avoid planning a tightly timed activity immediately after the expected return, and consider a quieter day between long cultural excursions.

How long are Luxor day trip from Hurghada itineraries?

Both shared Luxor day trip from Hurghada itineraries give an overall duration of about 15 hours. This covers the outing, including road travel and visits; it is not 15 hours at the monuments. Pickup is early, with your exact pickup time confirmed for your hotel.

Do not build the day around a guaranteed one-way driving time or assume the minibus always arrives sooner. Hotel collections, road conditions, breaks and the day’s arrangements can affect timing. Ask for the expected return window and tell the booking team if you have an onward transfer or another fixed commitment.

The four included sites are a more useful planning basis than a minute-by-minute timetable. Site order can vary, and the shared programs do not promise a customer-selected route.

Which sites are included in the shared itinerary?

Sites listed in both shared Luxor programs
Site What to expect Ticket boundary
Karnak Temple Temple courtyards and columns on the East Bank Standard admission included
Valley of the Kings Royal tomb visits on the West Bank Three standard tombs; separately ticketed tombs cost extra
Hatshepsut Temple The terraced temple beneath the cliffs Standard admission included
Colossi of Memnon A stop at the two monumental statues Included program stop

Luxor Temple is a different monument from Karnak and is not included in these shared listings. A Nile boat ride is an optional extra if offered. Neither should be assumed from an advertisement that simply says “Luxor tour.”

Luxor day trip from Hurghada itineraries: bus, minibus and private prices

Published shared fares and group limits
Option Adult 10+ Child 4–9 Infant 0–3 Group limit
Shared bus €65 €35 €20 Up to 30 guests
Shared minibus €80 €40 €35 Up to 8 guests
Private request Separate written quote for your group, date and program

When comparing Luxor day trip from Hurghada itineraries, the minibus costs €15 more per adult and €5 more per child. For two adults, the shared fares total €130 by bus or €160 by minibus, before any agreed hotel supplement or optional extras. The upgrade changes group size, not the list of included monuments.

The operator-confirmed child age band is 4–9; guests aged 10 and over pay the adult fare. Supply each child’s age when booking. These are fixed child prices, not a calculation of half the adult price.

Previously confirmed transfer supplements are €5 per person from Makadi Bay or Sahl Hasheesh and €10 from Soma Bay, Safaga or El Gouna. Have the booking team confirm the applicable supplement and complete total for your exact hotel. Do not use the shared fare as a private-tour quotation.

What is included, and which extras need a decision?

Both shared listings include Hurghada hotel transfers, an Egyptologist guide, the listed standard admissions, lunch and drinks. The Valley of the Kings admission covers three standard tombs. Ask about the guide language, meal arrangements and any dietary needs before reserving.

Visitor in the courtyard of Hatshepsut Temple in Luxor

Budget separately for a special tomb such as Tutankhamun’s if available and chosen, an optional Nile boat trip, and personal purchases. A special tomb ticket does not mean the guide can change the whole day’s schedule. Confirm availability and the extra cost before agreeing to it.

Luxor Temple, a customized route and a private vehicle are not automatic upgrades within either shared price. Agree the complete program and total in advance; optional purchases remain separate from that agreement.

5 Luxor day trip from Hurghada itineraries to compare

These five choices combine two published shared products with three planning requests. Only the bus and minibus have the confirmed shared prices above. The other ideas need written agreement and may require a different program.

1. Classic highlights by shared bus

This is the straightforward choice when the four included sites are your priority and you want the lower fare. The day combines hotel pickup, road travel, the guided visits, lunch and the return. A possible sequence is Karnak, lunch and the West Bank sites, but the final order is set for the day.

Read the Luxor bus trip details and booking options. Check the hotel pickup information and the included ticket list instead of assuming that every stop or activity mentioned in a general Luxor guide is part of this booking.

2. A Valley of the Kings first request

If the tombs are your main interest, ask whether a West Bank first order is possible. That is a request, not a guaranteed shared itinerary or a promise of fewer crowds. The operator must consider the complete route, current arrangements and the other included visits.

Be specific about why you are asking: a particular tomb interest, walking needs or a separately ticketed visit. A private quote may be worth discussing if your priorities cannot fit the shared plan. Do not book the minibus assuming you can choose its site order.

3. The same highlights with a smaller shared group

The Luxor small-group minibus trip limits the group to eight guests. It suits travelers who prefer a smaller group while retaining the same listed sites, standard tickets, guide and lunch. The published duration remains about 15 hours.

“Small group” does not mean exclusive use of the vehicle, fewer guaranteed hotel stops or additional monuments. Confirm the vehicle and any specific seating or access needs if these determine your choice. Compare the actual eight-guest limit rather than relying on an undefined “VIP” label.

4. A separately quoted private program

A private request can be useful when you want to discuss a different pace, a particular guide language or a focused route. Availability, vehicle, guiding arrangements, breaks, ticket list and price must be agreed in writing. Privacy alone does not guarantee step-free access, unlimited visiting time or a crowd-free site.

Send your date, hotel, group size and children’s ages, then list your priorities in order. Ask whether both vehicle and guide are private, which admissions and meals are included, and what return window is proposed. Our private Luxor planning guide explains the questions to settle before accepting a quotation.

5. A separate plan that includes Luxor Temple

If Luxor Temple is essential, say so before booking. It is not listed in the shared bus or minibus programs. Adding it may affect visiting time elsewhere, the overall duration and the price; a larger itinerary is not automatically a better day.

Obelisk and entrance pylon at Luxor Temple
Luxor Temple is a separate monument and is not included in the shared bus or minibus program.

Ask for a written site list rather than assuming that “Luxor” in the tour title includes Luxor Temple. If the proposed day feels too full, discuss a different program instead of trying to add stops after departure.

Which of these Luxor day trip from Hurghada itineraries matches your priorities?

Hatshepsut Temple beneath the cliffs in Luxor
Hatshepsut Temple is one of the four named stops in both shared Luxor programs.
  • Lowest published shared fare: choose the bus if the included four-site program suits you.
  • Smaller shared group: compare the minibus, capped at eight guests.
  • Specific site order or pace: ask for written confirmation; consider a private quote when necessary.
  • Luxor Temple or other extra monuments: request a separately confirmed program.
  • Children or mobility requirements: resolve practical needs before choosing by price.

There is no single best option for everyone. A couple happy with a larger group may prefer the bus; a family may value the eight-person limit. Neither decision changes the amount of road travel or the need to prepare for walking.

Luxor planning and booking links

A booking checklist that prevents misunderstandings

  1. Check the product name: shared bus, shared minibus or an individually quoted private program.
  2. Confirm the exact hotel: establish pickup details, the supplement if applicable and the expected return window.
  3. Match the tickets: distinguish three standard tombs from separately ticketed visits.
  4. Agree the total: include all guests, hotel supplements and any extras you have actually chosen.
  5. Ask about stops: confirm any shopping or comfort stops and how they fit into the program.
  6. Record special requirements: guide language, diet, mobility, child seating or other arrangements need confirmation.
  7. Keep the booking terms: save your confirmation and the cancellation deadline.

A lower headline price alone does not prove a poor service, and a “VIP” label does not prove a particular vehicle or itinerary. Compare named services and written conditions. Bring money for optional purchases you may choose, while keeping the agreed booking total clear.

What to pack for a Luxor day trip from Hurghada

  • Comfortable shoes (stone floors, lots of walking)
  • Hat and sunglasses (Luxor sun is sharp)
  • Light scarf or cover (temples are open, dust and sun)
  • Sunscreen (even in winter you can burn)
  • Passport or identification requested in your booking confirmation; confirm whether the original is required
  • Power bank for a long day of photos
  • Small snacks (especially with kids)
  • A light layer for an early departure and air-conditioned travel

How this fits into your Hurghada holiday (and what to do on the other days)

A lot of travelers plan their holiday like this:

  • 1 day in Luxor
  • 1 day snorkeling
  • 1 desert day
  • 1 rest day

Space long road days according to your own energy levels rather than filling every day with an excursion.

Use the actual product pages to choose your date and check availability: Luxor day trip from Hurghada by bus or Luxor small-group day trip by minibus. The general tours directory is useful for browsing, but these links take you directly to the two programs compared here.

Need the exact total for your hotel and family? Ask Hurghada Travels on WhatsApp with your date, hotel, number of adults and every child’s age.

Provide the hotel name, preferred date, number of adults and each child’s age. Confirm the full price, pickup instructions and included services. Use the payment method shown for your booking and keep the dated confirmation with the agreed total and pickup details.

Cancellation and date changes

Cancel at least 24 hours before the confirmed tour start for a full refund. Cancellations received less than 24 hours before the start and no-shows are non-refundable. Deadlines use local time in Egypt.

Request a date change at least 24 hours before the start: no change fee, subject to availability and any price difference. The new date needs confirmation. Later requests are not guaranteed. If the operator cancels, including for unsafe weather, choose an available alternative date or a full refund.

Any non-refundable ticket or committed-cost exception must be disclosed before payment and included in the confirmation. Requests count when received. Read the complete cancellation and date-change terms and use the contact details in your confirmation.

Make the itinerary decision before reserving

Choose the four-site shared program when it answers your main interests. Choose between bus and minibus by fare and group size. If your priorities depend on a private vehicle, a different order or an extra monument, settle those details in a separate quote before you book.

Frequently asked questions

Does the minibus visit more monuments than the bus?

No. The listed sites and standard admissions are the same. The minibus limits the shared group to eight; the bus lists up to 30. The fare difference buys the smaller group format, not additional temples or special tombs.

Are all five itinerary choices available at the published fare?

No. Only the two shared products have the stated prices. A private route, West Bank first request or Luxor Temple visit needs separate confirmation and may require a different program.

How much time should I allow for Luxor day trip from Hurghada itineraries?

Luxor day trip from Hurghada itineraries take about 15 hours overall according to both listings. Confirm your hotel’s pickup time and expected return window; do not assume a fixed arrival time or a faster return by minibus.

Can children join, and are infants free?

Give the booking team each child’s age and any seating needs. Children aged 4–9 pay €35 by bus or €40 by minibus; ages 10+ use the adult fare. Infants aged 0–3 pay €20 on the Luxor bus or €35 on the Luxor mini bus (Hiace).

Are lunch, drinks and tomb tickets included?

Lunch, drinks and standard admissions are listed, including three standard Valley of the Kings tombs. Special tombs and an optional Nile ride cost extra if chosen and available. Confirm dietary arrangements beforehand.

Can I cancel or move my date?

The standard full-refund deadline is at least 24 hours before the confirmed start, using Egypt local time. Earlier date-change requests have no change fee but depend on availability and any price difference. Check the full terms and any disclosed exception in your confirmation.

Things to Do in Hurghada: 10 Best Ideas for 2026

The best things to do in Hurghada combine the Red Sea with time in the city, the desert and your hotel. You can take an island boat trip, walk around the marina, visit Hurghada Museum, explore shops and local food, or set aside a day for Cairo or Luxor. You do not need an organized excursion every day.

This guide helps you build a varied holiday, including independent activities as well as bookable programs. For a detailed comparison of our tours, use the excursion-selection guide; for current fares, see the price list. Activity and product information was reviewed on 3 October 2026.

A list of ideas is not a live same-day availability board. Check the actual date, venue access, hotel transport and conditions before setting off. Current tour listings do not guarantee that a place or transfer is available at the moment you enquire.

1. Simple things to do in Hurghada: keep time for the beach and hotel

A relaxed beach or pool day can be part of a good itinerary, especially after travel or a long excursion. Use the facilities included in your own hotel booking, read the local rules and check permitted swimming areas. A beach visible on a map is not automatically open to non-guests.

If you want to visit another beach independently, confirm day-entry permission, the actual charge and which facilities it covers. Do not assume that loungers, towels, meals, equipment or reef access come with a transport fare. Separate the cost of getting there from the right to enter and use the facilities.

For children and less confident swimmers, discuss conditions and supervision rather than judging suitability by a calm-looking photograph. A sandy entry or life jacket does not make every open-water activity appropriate. You can enjoy time beside the sea without committing the whole group to snorkeling.

2. Things to do in Hurghada: walk around Hurghada Marina

The marina promenade offers a change of scene from a resort: waterfront views, moored boats and places to stop for a meal or drink. It can work as a flexible evening outing rather than another full-day booking. Decide how much walking and dining time your group wants before arranging the return journey.

Check menus and the complete price before ordering, and confirm current access or venue arrangements for your visit. This guide does not promise free admission to every area, particular business opening times or a fixed transport fare. A photograph of a restaurant or boat does not confirm what is operating today.

If you are staying outside central Hurghada, plan the journey home as well as the outward ride. Keep the agreed pickup point and contact details accessible. Avoid using a late evening with a fixed return commitment immediately after a long excursion if the timing leaves little room for delay.

The marina guide provides more location context. For official destination background, Egyptian Tourism Authority’s Hurghada city guide identifies the marina promenade, markets and museum among the city’s land-based options.

3. Things to do in Hurghada: explore shops, food and city streets

A short city outing can combine a walk, a meal and browsing for souvenirs without becoming a rigid sightseeing schedule. Choose one area to explore at a comfortable pace rather than assuming every point on a city map is within an easy walk of your hotel.

Set a rough spending limit for purchases, compare the actual items and ask what is included in the quoted amount. You do not have to buy something simply because you entered a shop. When choosing food, check the menu and raise dietary needs directly with the venue instead of relying on a general destination description.

Dress appropriately when visiting cultural or religious places, follow current visitor instructions and ask before photographing people. An exterior sightseeing stop does not guarantee interior access. Avoid planning around an unverified opening time or assuming that every site accepts visitors during all activities or services.

Our city sightseeing guide can help you compare areas. There is no matching city-tour product among the current 20 booking programs, so a city idea here is not a promise of a guided package, entrance ticket or included hotel transfer.

4. Things to do in Hurghada: visit Hurghada Museum

Hurghada Museum offers an archaeological and cultural visit within the city rather than a long drive to Cairo or Luxor. Its displays trace Egyptian history through several periods, including ancient Egyptian, Graeco-Roman, Christian, Islamic and modern material.

Use the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities museum page to check current opening sessions, admission categories, ticket-office deadlines and visitor rules before going. Holiday or Ramadan arrangements can differ, so check the date rather than copying a generic timetable.

Plan the actual journey from your hotel and allow time to browse at the pace your group wants. This is an independent attraction suggestion; the article does not include its admission or transport in the price of another excursion.

For families, consider a focused visit rather than expecting children to see every display. Follow the museum’s instructions about photographs, bags and conduct, and confirm any access assistance you need. A museum visit provides a different experience from underwater viewing or an island day.

5. Things to do in Hurghada: choose a reef-snorkeling experience

Dolphins near the surface during a Red Sea boat experience in Hurghada
Dolphins at the water surface from the Hurghada Travels media library. Wildlife sightings vary and are never guaranteed.

A reef boat day can be a central part of a Red Sea holiday, but compare the actual program before choosing. Some trips combine snorkeling with island time; Dolphin House instead focuses on a boat day with three planned snorkeling stops and a search for wild dolphins.

The Dolphin House program is approximately eight hours and includes the listed equipment, lunch, drinks and Hurghada hotel transfers. Wild dolphins are not guaranteed, and no booking gives permission to chase or touch them. Choose the trip because you want its snorkeling day as well as the possibility of an encounter.

Tell the responsible team about swimming confidence and equipment needs before entering the water. A beginner label or flotation device does not establish suitability for every participant or condition. Use the snorkeling comparison and beginner preparation guide to understand the questions worth asking.

Protect the reef by avoiding contact, standing on coral, feeding fish or chasing wildlife. A photograph can illustrate marine life but cannot promise what you will see. Ask what a non-participant can do aboard if your party has different preferences.

6. Things to do in Hurghada: add an island beach day

Orange Bay island day among the things to do in Hurghada
Orange Bay arrival from the Hurghada Travels photo album. Island programs are full-day sea trips, not simple beach-entry tickets.

The Orange Bay trip and Paradise Island trip are separate approximately eight-hour boat programs combining two planned reef stops and island time. They include snorkeling equipment, lunch, drinks and Hurghada hotel transfers, with around two hours at the island under the planned schedule.

Both currently cost €25 for ages 11+ and €15 for ages 4–10, with a free fare for ages 0–3. Ticket age bands do not establish water-activity eligibility. Outside-Hurghada transfer supplements and optional purchases need to be included in your final total.

An island trip already includes snorkeling, so it may cover two of the experiences on your wish list in one day. Do not book an additional generic snorkeling outing simply because the names sound different; compare the actual stops and time allocation.

Water activities are subject to the product and operating conditions. Do not assume a floating aqua park, sofa ride or unlimited games. The Orange Bay planning guide explains the island day in more detail. Giftun-area wording alone does not identify a particular beach admission or an extra island stop.

7. Things to do in Hurghada: see underwater life in a way that suits you

Coral formations beneath clear Red Sea water in Hurghada
Underwater Red Sea view from the site media library. Visibility and route depend on conditions and are not guaranteed by a photograph.

You can choose underwater-window viewing or an introductory diving experience, but they answer different needs. The Panorama semi-submarine has a cabin below sea level while the vessel stays at the surface. The approximately three-hour program includes underwater viewing, a diver show and an optional snorkeling stop.

This can be an option when you want to view without compulsory swimming. Confirm boarding and cabin access if mobility or steps are a concern. “Dry viewing” is not the same as guaranteed accessibility for every traveler.

The introductory scuba program is approximately seven hours with two supervised introductory dives for eligible participants, required equipment, lunch, drinks and Hurghada transfer. The age-11+ fare is €30, but all participation remains subject to the required screening and instructor approval.

Trying scuba does not give you a certification, and certified-diver requests require their own suitable arrangements. Our diving guide explains the alternatives and flight-planning considerations. Choose according to your actual interest and eligibility, not an assumption that going deeper is automatically a better holiday experience.

8. Things to do in Hurghada: experience the desert

The desert provides a different setting from sea days and city evenings. Choose between a focused quad route and a program with several activities. The three-hour quad safari includes an approximately sixty-kilometer route with preparation, village stops, a short camel ride and tea.

The Super Safari program runs approximately six to seven hours, combining quad biking, Spider Buggy, a 4×4 Jeep segment, village time, camel ride, tea, BBQ dinner and an oriental show. It is a different program from the three-hour ride; not every safari ticket includes dinner or every vehicle.

Helmeted riders lined up on quad bikes at a safari station
Company-album photograph. The guide’s briefing, approval and vehicle arrangements are part of participating in a safari.

The current age-11+ fare is €25 on either program, with €15 for ages 4–10 and a free fare for ages 0–3. Driving from age ten requires guide approval; younger children participate with an accompanying adult. Suitability must still be checked, and a fare category does not promise a separate vehicle.

Bring your own scarf and protective goggles, as they are not included. Wear closed shoes and follow the program’s preparation instructions. Sunset timing depends on season and operations. The desert safari guide helps compare the programs without treating a VIP label as an automatic upgrade.

9. Things to do in Hurghada: make one major historical day trip

Visitors at Karnak Temple on a historical day trip from Hurghada
Karnak Temple visitors from the Hurghada Travels photo library. Luxor is a long road day rather than a local Hurghada activity.

A day outside Hurghada can add ancient sites to a beach holiday, but it is a substantial time commitment. Choose Cairo for Giza and a named museum, or Luxor for temples and royal tombs. If your stay is short, selecting the destination you care about most can be more practical than trying to fit in both.

The Luxor bus trip is approximately fifteen hours, covering Karnak, the Valley of the Kings with three standard tombs, Hatshepsut Temple and the Colossi of Memnon. Standard admissions, an Egyptologist guide, lunch, drinks and Hurghada transfer are included. Special tombs and an optional Nile trip are extra where available.

The Cairo Tahrir Museum and Pyramids bus trip is approximately seventeen hours. The GEM and Pyramids bus trip visits a different museum. Both include their listed standard admissions, guide, lunch, drinks and Hurghada transfer; Great Pyramid interior entry is not included.

Smaller shared mini-bus versions also exist, with a maximum of eight guests compared with thirty on the shared buses. A mini bus is not automatically private. Do not assume a flight option is available: there is no current matching Cairo-flight booking program in this list.

Give these long days space in your itinerary, especially when planning for children or anyone with access or fatigue concerns. Check the exact hotel pickup and expected return, and use the Luxor guide or the individual Cairo booking page for details.

10. Things to do in Hurghada: choose spa time or a shorter activity

Private speedboat for a shorter Red Sea activity in Hurghada
Private speedboat from the Hurghada Travels media library. The current private program is approximately four hours.

You can leave part of a day free by choosing a shorter program. Cleopatra Spa provides approximately two hours at the spa, with hotel transfer taking additional time. The listed program includes bath and heat facilities, scrub, foam massage and full-body massage; confirm the individual massage time and treatment suitability.

If you prefer an active short outing, parasailing has a ten-to-fifteen-minute flight within an approximately one-and-a-half-hour program. Participation depends on crew approval and the relevant weather, weight and harness conditions. A short duration does not establish suitability for every age.

For a private sea outing, the four-hour speedboat is €150 total for one to six guests, including children within capacity. Its specific dolphin-search and snorkeling program is not an unlimited custom route or a dinner yacht. Confirm any optional addition and hotel supplement.

Plan things to do in Hurghada by time, group and budget

Things to do in Hurghada when you have three days

Choose one main sea activity, keep another day for either a desert program or city and museum time, and leave arrival or departure time flexible. An evening walk or meal can provide variety without needing a second paid excursion on the same day.

Things to do in Hurghada when you have five to seven days

You have more room for one long historical outing alongside sea, desert and local activities. Spread demanding days apart and keep hotel time in the plan. An example is arrival and rest, an island day, city or museum time, desert, a free day, a historical trip, then departure time kept clear.

Things to do in Hurghada for families, couples and non-swimmers

Build the plan around actual ages, confidence and preferences. Families may need shorter sessions and predictable meal or rest breaks; couples may value a private group setting or a flexible city evening. Non-swimmers can consider underwater-window viewing and land activities without being pushed toward entering the sea.

Use our family planning guide or couples’ privacy and pace guide for more focused questions. A destination list cannot approve a child’s activity, medical fitness or a particular access arrangement; confirm those needs with the responsible team.

Budgeting for things to do in Hurghada

Combine paid excursions with hotel time, independent walks and only the attractions you want. Confirm transport, admission and spending separately for independent visits. For organized programs, use the booking checklist to establish the total, currency, included services and cancellation terms.

Sharm El Naga is currently unavailable through us. City walks and Hurghada Museum visits in this guide are independent ideas, not products included in an island or safari booking. Choose currently listed programs when you want an organized excursion and confirm the details for your date.

Questions about things to do in Hurghada

Do I need to book an excursion every day?

No. Mix one or more organized experiences with hotel time, city walks, a meal out or an independent museum visit. A less crowded schedule can leave room for rest and changing conditions.

What things to do in Hurghada work without a full-day tour?

Consider marina time, shops and food, Hurghada Museum, your hotel facilities or a shorter listed activity. Confirm transport, access and current opening arrangements for independent visits.

Is Hurghada Marina the departure point for every boat trip?

No. Do not assume a marina or meeting point from a destination guide. Use the pickup and departure details confirmed for your specific booking.

Is visiting Hurghada Museum included in another tour ticket?

Not by this article. It is an independent attraction suggestion. Check the official museum page for current admission and visit arrangements.

Should I book snorkeling and an island trip separately?

Compare the actual programs first. The current Orange Bay and Paradise Island trips already include two planned reef snorkeling stops, so a second outing may repeat an experience you already have.

Which current activity lets me see underwater life without snorkeling?

The Panorama semi-submarine provides underwater-window viewing with an optional snorkeling stop. Confirm boarding, steps and individual access needs.

Are children automatically allowed to dive, drive or fly?

No. Fare categories and activity eligibility are separate. Confirm screening, equipment fit and the responsible guide, instructor or crew’s approval.

What is the private speedboat price?

The current program is €150 for the whole boat for one to six guests, including children within capacity, for approximately four hours. Optional additions and outside-Hurghada transfers need confirmation.

Can I take a short local trip to Cairo or Luxor?

The current road programs are long days: approximately seventeen hours for Cairo and fifteen for Luxor. Choose according to the sites you want and the time your group can manage.

Are Cairo’s two museum options interchangeable?

No. The Egyptian Museum in Tahrir and the Grand Egyptian Museum are different itineraries. Choose the program that names your preferred museum.

What can I do in the evening without a party or nightclub?

A marina walk, a meal out, browsing shops or relaxing at the hotel can provide a quieter evening. Check current venue arrangements and your return transport.

Does a published trip page guarantee a place today?

No. Confirm the date, participants, pickup and availability. This guide is not a live same-day departure board.

Is Sharm El Naga currently bookable with Hurghada Travels?

No. That trip is currently unavailable through us. The destination may have other independent arrangements, but this guide does not offer a booking.

How can I keep things to do in Hurghada varied?

Choose activities that add something different: sea, desert, city, history or relaxation. Check the actual itinerary rather than adding another excursion only because its title differs.
