Complete travel guides about Hurghada including the best things to do, snorkeling trips, desert safari adventures, diving tours, and day trips to Luxor and Cairo
Explore Hurghada Marina at night with an evening walk and dinner plan, current venue checks and a clear return meeting point.
Hurghada Marina at night is one of those places people think is going to be a quick walk and maybe a drink.
And then suddenly it is 1:30 am, you are still out, you have a table by the yachts, someone is playing live music two doors down, and you are doing that vacation math in your head like… okay, this is actually a great night.
But here is the part nobody tells you clearly.
Hurghada Marina nightlife can be amazing, or it can be overpriced and a bit annoying if you walk into the first place that calls you in, order randomly, and then try to “figure it out” on the fly. So this guide is built to help you do it properly in 2026. Where to go, what it costs, what to avoid, what to do if you are with kids, and how to combine a Marina night with the best daytime experiences like Hurghada tours.
Because honestly, the best nightlife happens when your day was already great. Snorkeling, desert, islands, history. Then you come back, shower, and the Marina feels like a reward.
If you want the day part handled smoothly, you can check Hurghada tours here: https://hurghadatravels.com/tours/ and just WhatsApp us. We will point you to what actually fits your hotel, budget, and energy level.
Why Hurghada Marina is the easiest nightlife area (and why most tourists end up here)
Hurghada has nightlife in different pockets, but the Marina is the most “no stress” zone.

You get:
A clean, walkable promenade
Lots of restaurants and lounges in one place
Sea breeze, yachts, lights, photos. It feels safe and vacation-y
You can arrive early for dinner and stay late without changing locations much
Also, taxis know it, hotel staff know it, your friends know it. So meeting people is simple.
One important thing though. The Marina is not “cheap local Egypt”. It is more like a tourist marina in any beach city. You pay for location and comfort. That is fine, just go in expecting it so you do not get shocked at the bill.
And if you are wondering what people say about it, you can browse reviews here: Tripadvisor Hurghada Marina (use it mainly for vibe and recent experiences, not for “the best place ever” claims).
Quick vibe check: What Hurghada Marina nightlife feels like in 2026
The Marina offers places to walk, eat and sit by the waterfront. Confirm each venue’s opening hours, entertainment schedule, reservation conditions and dress requirements for your date.
Best things to do at Hurghada Marina at night (the list that actually works)
Here are practical options to consider for your evening.
Most people do the opposite. They sit down immediately, then later they do a rushed walk.
Do this instead:
Park or get dropped at the Marina entrance
Walk the full promenade first
Check menus and music
Then choose where to sit
It saves you money and regret. Also you will quickly feel what kind of night it is going to be.
2) Pick your “one main spot” and your “one extra stop”
The Marina is built for hopping.
A simple plan:
Dinner at one place
One more stop for dessert, a cocktail, or shisha
If you try five places, you will waste time and spend too much. Two is perfect.
3) Book a table on busy nights (yes, even here)
If it is a weekend, holiday season, or summer peak, the nice terrace tables get taken.
If you want a specific vibe, call ahead, or ask your hotel to reserve. This is especially true if you are 4+ people.
4) Do a yacht photo moment, but keep it quick
Everyone does the yacht photos. Do it, it is part of the Marina experience.
Just do not stand in the middle blocking people. Quick photos, enjoy the lights, move on.
5) Try a late dessert and coffee like a local night routine
Egyptians love late coffee. Tourists sometimes forget this and end the night too early.
If you already had dinner, switch to:
Dessert
Turkish coffee or espresso
Fresh juice mocktail
This keeps the night going without heavy drinking.
6) Shisha at the Marina, but choose the place carefully
You can smoke shisha in different spots. Quality varies.
If the shisha tastes burnt or harsh, do not suffer. Ask them to change coal, or simply move. You are paying for it, it should be smooth.
7) Live music nights, the “secret upgrade”
Some Marina venues do live music nights. That is when the Marina feels like a real nightlife destination, not just restaurants.
If you hear live music, follow it. But check the menu prices first.
Hurghada Marina nightlife prices (what to expect in 2026)
Check each venue’s current menu, minimum-spend policy and any service charge before ordering. No verified current menu prices are provided here. The official Marina website is a starting point for venue information.
The biggest Marina mistakes tourists make (and how to avoid them)
Mistake 1: Sitting down in the first place you see
Walk first. Always.
Mistake 2: Not checking the menu before ordering “recommendations”
Some staff will recommend the most expensive items. Not evil, just business. Look at the menu. Choose.
Mistake 3: Thinking “Marina prices” mean you are being scammed
Not always. The Marina is a premium location. The real scam is when prices are unclear or items get added that you did not order.
Mistake 4: Getting into taxi drama
Use hotel taxis, Uber where available, or agree the price before you enter. If you want a simple rule, ask hotel reception what the normal price is from your hotel to the Marina.
Mistake 5: Doing Marina nightlife on the same day you did nothing
Leave enough rest time. You do not need to book an excursion to enjoy an evening walk or dinner.
Pair Hurghada Marina nightlife with the right daytime plan (this is how your trip feels “full”)
If your daytime is just sitting at the hotel, the Marina can feel like “same same” after two nights.
But if you do different Hurghada tours in the day, every night feels different. You have stories. Photos. You are tired in a good way.
Here are the best pairings.
Option A: Snorkeling day + Marina nightlife (the classic that never fails)
Do a boat and snorkeling day, then Marina at night.
People who want photos that do not look like everyone else’s
Worth it because:
The desert at sunset is a whole mood. And quad biking is just… fun, simple fun.
Option C: Parasailing adventure + Marina nightlife (the thrilling combo)
For those seeking an extra thrill, start your day with an exhilarating parasailing adventure over the stunning Red Sea.
Why it works:
You get to witness breathtaking views from above
The adrenaline rush sets a fun tone for the evening
You’ll have unique stories to share over dinner
This combination is perfect for adventure seekers and those looking to add some excitement to their trip.
Option D: Cairo day trip + Marina night (only if you have energy)
Keep a Marina evening on a separate day from a long Cairo road trip unless your return time is confirmed and you still feel rested.
Option E: Luxor day trip + Marina night (history but calmer than Cairo)
A Luxor excursion is a long day. Avoid a fixed late dinner reservation that depends on an exact return time.
Cheap vs VIP: How to enjoy Hurghada Marina nightlife without overpaying
You can do the Marina cheaply. You can also do it VIP. The trick is choosing on purpose.
Cheap Marina night (still nice)
Walk the Marina
Pick one mid range restaurant
Skip alcohol, do fresh juice or coffee
Share dessert
One shisha max
This is a very good night and you can keep it controlled.
VIP Marina night
Reserve a terrace table
Seafood platter or premium steak
Cocktails or wine
Dessert and shisha
Maybe a second stop for live music
If you are doing VIP, do it one night only, and make the other nights lighter. That is how most experienced travelers keep the trip feeling high quality without blowing the budget.
Family friendly Hurghada Marina nightlife (yes, it can be)
If you are traveling with kids, the Marina is actually one of the easier evening options.
Tips:
Go early, like 6:30 to 8:30 pm
Pick a place with outdoor seating so kids can move a little
Bring a light jacket in winter months because the breeze can surprise you
Keep it simple. Dinner, walk, gelato, back to hotel
And if your kids need action in the daytime, that is where Hurghada excursions help. A snorkeling boat or an easy island day is usually perfect, and then the Marina night becomes the calm finish.
Couples night at Hurghada Marina (romantic without being cheesy)
If you are a couple, do not over plan it. The Marina does the work.
“Hurghada Marina at night is a beautiful spot for a late night stroll along the Red Sea. #BelovedEgypt #Hurghada #Egypt #Red_Sea #RedSea” — Hurghada Marina at night (2015). Historical location photograph; it does not confirm current venue opening times. Resized and converted to WebP. Photo: Muhammad Mansour (iTripleM) / Flickr · CC BY 2.0.
A simple romantic plan:
Sunset walk on the promenade
Dinner with sea view
Share dessert
One quiet drink or coffee
Photos by the yachts, then leave
If you want to go extra romantic, consider doing one of the best tours in Hurghada during the day like a private snorkeling experience or a calm island trip. This way, the night feels more like a special date rather than just another outing.
Solo travelers: How to enjoy Marina nightlife and not feel awkward
Solo at the Marina is fine. The area is social, nobody cares.
Do this:
Sit at the terrace edge, people watch
Choose places with live music
Keep your valuables close, like anywhere touristy
If someone is too pushy, be polite and firm. No thanks, and keep walking
And if you want to meet people, book group Hurghada tours. Boats and desert trips are where travelers naturally talk.
Safety, dress code, and etiquette (simple, not scary)
Suitability depends on the actual activity, conditions and each guest. Confirm the operator’s requirements, equipment and assistance; no option is risk-free.
Dress code
Smart casual is perfect
Beachwear is okay for daytime, but at night most people dress a bit nicer
No need for formal
Drinking
If you drink, keep it reasonable. You are in a tourist zone, but you are still in Egypt. Most venues are fine, just do not cause scenes.
Paying
Check if service charge is included
Ask for the bill clearly
If something looks wrong, ask calmly, do not escalate emotionally
Scams
The Marina itself is not scam heavy compared to some street areas, but the classic issues are:
Taxi overpricing
Random add-ons on bills
Pushy invitations to “special” venues elsewhere
If someone tries to pull you away from the Marina to a “better club”, only go if you personally want that, and only if you know the costs. Otherwise, stay in the Marina zone. It is easier.
A simple 1 night Marina itinerary (copy this)
If you just want a plan, here.
7:30 pm Arrive, walk the full promenade 8:00 pm Dinner (choose after you see menus) 9:30 pm Slow walk, yacht photos 10:00 pm Dessert and coffee or a drink 11:00 pm Optional live music stop 12:00 am Taxi back
If you are doing an early morning tour the next day, cut it shorter. No guilt.
And if you have not booked your day trips yet, do that first. Nightlife is easy to find, but good Hurghada tours with proper boats, clean transfers, and clear inclusions are what make your holiday feel smooth.
Conclusion: Make the Marina your easy night, and let the tours be your big memories
Hurghada Marina nightlife in 2026 is not about chasing the wildest party. It is about an easy, good looking, relaxing night where everything is in one place. Walk, choose your spot, enjoy dinner, maybe live music, then go back to the hotel feeling like you actually used your evening well.
The smartest way to do Hurghada is simple.
Do the daytime properly with real Hurghada tours such as snorkeling or parasailing, desert adventures like quad biking, island explorations or even trips to Cairo and Luxor. Then use the Marina as your comfortable night routine.

The Best Hurghada Boat Trips combine clear Red Sea water, coral reef snorkeling, island relaxation, marine life, and exciting water activities in one organized experience. However, the right boat trip depends on whether you prefer a relaxing island day, longer snorkeling time, dolphin searching, or a private journey away from large groups.
Some Hurghada boat tours focus on soft sandy beaches and shallow water, while others include several reef stops, sea games, or flexible private routes. Comparing the trip duration, included activities, group size, and hotel transportation can help you select a program that matches your holiday.
Through Hurghada boat tours and excursions, you can compare organized Red Sea programs and reserve a suitable trip based on your travel date, hotel location, and group size.
Choose Hurghada Boat Trips
Choosing between the Best Hurghada Boat Trips becomes easier when you decide what you want from the day before comparing prices.
A boat trip may focus on:
Island beach time.
Coral reef snorkeling.
Wild dolphin searching.
Water sports and sea games.
Beginner diving.
Private speedboat travel.
Underwater sightseeing.
Family-friendly activities.
First-time visitors often prefer a complete island program because it combines several experiences without requiring separate reservations. Travelers who have already visited the islands may choose Dolphin House or a private speedboat for a different Red Sea experience.
Do not choose a trip only because it has the lowest advertised price. The number of activities, island entrance, lunch, equipment, transfers, and boat type can significantly affect the total value.
Orange Bay: one of the most popular Hurghada boat trips
Orange Bay walkway and turquoise water from the Hurghada Travels media library.
An Orange Bay boat trip is one of the most balanced options for travelers visiting Hurghada for the first time.
The official program currently starts from €25 and lasts approximately eight hours. It combines two snorkeling stops with time on Orange Bay, where visitors can relax beside shallow turquoise water and enjoy the island atmosphere.
The program includes:
A VIP boat journey.
Two coral reef stops.
Snorkeling equipment.
Orange Bay entrance.
Island beach time.
Buffet lunch.
Soft drinks.
Hotel transfer from Hurghada.
Sea games when included.
Orange Bay is particularly suitable for couples, families, groups of friends, and travelers who want an equal balance between snorkeling and relaxation.
The shallow island water can also be more comfortable for visitors who prefer swimming near the beach rather than spending the entire day in deeper snorkeling areas.
The official program currently starts from €25 and normally lasts between seven and eight hours. It includes two different coral reef stops before or after the island visit, depending on the daily schedule and sea conditions.
The Paradise Island program includes:
Two snorkeling stops.
Paradise Island beach time.
Banana boat riding.
Sofa boat riding.
A buffet lunch.
Soft drinks.
Snorkeling equipment.
Life jackets.
Hotel transportation.
Travelers who want more sea games may prefer Paradise Island, while visitors seeking calmer beach time and shallow photo locations may find Orange Bay more suitable.
Approximately one and a half to two hours are normally allocated for the island section, although the final schedule can change according to daily operating conditions.
Orange Bay or Paradise
Both island programs are among the Best Hurghada Boat Trips, but they offer slightly different experiences.
Choose Orange Bay when you prefer:
Shallow turquoise water.
Relaxing island time.
Scenic beach photographs.
A calmer atmosphere.
A balanced first boat trip.
Choose Paradise Island when you prefer:
More water entertainment.
Banana and sofa rides.
Two reef stops.
A livelier itinerary.
An active full-day experience.
The two programs share several elements, including hotel transportation, snorkeling equipment, lunch, drinks, and professional crew supervision.
Your decision should be based on the type of island day you want rather than photographs alone. Also review the current program inclusions before booking because water activities can depend on the selected package and sea conditions.
Dolphin House Hurghada boat trips
Dolphin House boat trip image from the site media library. Dolphin sightings remain a natural possibility, not a guarantee.
A Dolphin House boat trip is suitable for travelers who want a reef-focused experience with the possibility of seeing dolphins in their natural environment.
The published program currently starts from €25 and includes:
Dolphin searching.
Three snorkeling stops.
Snorkeling equipment.
Life jackets.
Professional guidance.
Buffet lunch.
Soft drinks and water.
Banana and sofa rides.
Hotel transportation.
The three reef stops make this program attractive to visitors who want more snorkeling time and greater underwater variety.
Dolphins are wild animals, so sightings and swimming opportunities cannot be guaranteed. Avoid any operator that promises guaranteed dolphin encounters, as animal movements depend on natural conditions.
Choose Dolphin House for the complete snorkeling and marine experience rather than booking only because you expect close contact with dolphins.
Private speedboat vs shared Hurghada boat trips
The current private speedboat is a four-hour whole-boat program for up to six guests.
The current four-hour private speedboat program costs €150 for the whole boat for up to six guests. This is a boat total, not a per-person fare.
The listed experience includes:
A private speedboat.
A professional captain.
Dolphin searching.
A coral reef stop.
Snorkeling equipment.
Life jackets.
Abu Minqar Island.
Water and soft drinks.
Seasonal fruit.
A freshwater shower.
A toilet on board.
Because the price is for the private boat rather than a standard group ticket, the experience can offer good value for families or small groups sharing the cost.
A private speedboat also reaches reef and island areas more quickly than a large boat. This gives you more time for swimming, snorkeling, photographs, and relaxation within a shorter trip.
Group or Private Boats
Group and private Hurghada boat trips serve different budgets and travel preferences.
A shared group boat is suitable when you want:
A lower per-person price.
A complete full-day schedule.
Lunch and drinks included.
Island and snorkeling activities.
A social atmosphere.
A private speedboat is suitable when you want:
Privacy for your own group.
A shorter program.
Faster travel between stops.
Greater schedule flexibility.
Fewer passengers.
More control over your time.
Private trips are often preferred by couples, families with young children, small groups, and travelers who dislike crowded boats.
However, a shared island trip may provide more onboard space, a complete lunch, several activities, and a longer day for a lower individual price.
Diving and Hurghada boat trips
Scuba diver in the Red Sea. Beginner diving is a different program from standard snorkeling boat trips.
Travelers who want to go below the surface can choose a beginner diving boat program rather than a standard snorkeling excursion.
The Discover Scuba Diving in Hurghada experience currently starts from €30 and is designed for beginners who do not hold a diving certification.
The program includes professional instruction, diving equipment, two supervised dives, lunch, drinks, and hotel transportation from Hurghada.
A beginner diving trip is suitable for travelers who:
Want to try scuba diving.
Do not have a diving certificate.
Prefer underwater exploration.
Want professional instructor support.
Are comfortable spending a full day at sea.
Health, age, and safety conditions apply. Inform the diving team about any medical concern before booking and follow the instructor’s directions throughout the experience.
Panorama Semi-Submarine
Panorama semi-submarine offers underwater viewing from the cabin and a shorter sea-trip format.
For guests who want underwater views without making snorkeling the main activity, the Panorama semi-submarine trip is another useful option. The current fare is €25 for adults, €15 for children aged 4–10, and free for ages 0–3. Check the live tour page for the current operating duration and inclusions.
Family Hurghada Boat Trips
Families should select boat trips according to the children’s ages, swimming ability, activity level, and comfort with a full day at sea.
Orange Bay can suit families looking for beach time and shallow water. Paradise Island may appeal to older children who want sea games, while a private speedboat offers greater flexibility for families that prefer a shorter schedule.
Before booking, confirm:
Child ticket categories.
Life jacket availability.
Total trip duration.
Island time.
Swimming requirements.
Included meals.
Hotel pickup time.
Toilet availability.
Water sport conditions.
Parents should supervise children throughout the program and follow the crew’s instructions.
Families with children who do not want to snorkel may prefer an island-focused program with more beach time rather than a reef-focused itinerary.
Couples Hurghada Boat Trips
Couples can choose between a relaxing island trip and a private Red Sea experience.
Orange Bay is suitable for scenic island photographs, shallow water, and a relaxed beach atmosphere. Paradise Island combines romantic sea views with more activities, while a private speedboat provides privacy and flexibility.
A private speedboat may be particularly suitable for:
Honeymoon experiences.
Anniversary trips.
Private photographs.
Flexible departure times.
Quiet snorkeling stops.
Couples avoiding large groups.
The right choice depends on whether you want a full-day social boat excursion or a shorter private experience.
The official starting prices currently displayed for key programs are:
Orange Bay boat trip: from €25 per person.
Paradise Island trip: from €25 per person.
Dolphin House trip: from €25 per person.
Discover Scuba Diving: from €30 per person.
Private speedboat: €150 for the whole boat for up to 6 guests.
The final amount can depend on the selected date, passenger category, package, group size, and hotel location.
Do not compare only the starting prices. A private speedboat price is charged for the complete boat, while most island and snorkeling prices are listed per person.
Check whether each price includes:
Hotel transportation.
Island admission.
Snorkeling equipment.
Meals and drinks.
Water sports.
Professional supervision.
Safety equipment.
Taxes and service charges.
Hurghada Transfer Charges
Hotel pickup and return transportation are included from Hurghada city hotels in many official programs.
The current program pages commonly list these additional round-trip transfer charges:
Makadi Bay and Sahl Hasheesh: €5 per person.
El Gouna, Soma Bay, and Safaga: €10 per person.
Transfer arrangements can differ according to the trip, so provide the complete hotel name during booking.
The exact pickup time is usually confirmed after the hotel location and excursion date have been reviewed.
Hurghada Boat Inclusions
A properly organized boat trip should clearly explain what is included before you make payment.
Common inclusions may cover:
Hotel pickup and drop-off.
Boat transportation.
Snorkeling equipment.
Life jackets.
Professional guides.
Lunch.
Soft drinks and water.
Island admission.
Water sports.
Safety supervision.
Possible exclusions include:
Additional resort transfers.
Professional photographs.
Personal purchases.
Optional activities.
Towels.
Tips.
Special equipment.
Save a written confirmation showing the tour name, passenger number, date, pickup arrangements, final price, and included services.
Hurghada Boat Safety
The quality of safety arrangements is more important than saving a small amount on the ticket.
Before entering the water:
Attend the safety briefing.
Check your mask and equipment.
Wear a life jacket when required.
Stay near the snorkeling guide.
Follow the planned reef route.
Avoid touching coral.
Do not feed or chase marine animals.
Return to the boat on time.
Inform the crew if you are not a confident swimmer. Beginners should not enter deep water without guidance simply because other travelers are doing so.
Boat routes, snorkeling locations, and water sports can change when wind or sea conditions are unsuitable.
Hurghada Boat Packing
Pack only the items needed for a comfortable day at sea.
Bring:
Swimwear.
A beach towel.
Sunscreen.
Sunglasses.
A sun hat.
Dry clothing.
A waterproof phone case.
Motion sickness medication.
Personal medication.
A small amount of cash.
Apply sunscreen before departure and again during the day. The wind on the boat can make the temperature feel cooler, but it does not reduce sun exposure.
Keep phones, money, and important belongings inside a secure waterproof bag.

Which Hurghada boat trip suits first-time visitors?
Orange Bay is a balanced choice for first-time visitors because it combines reef snorkeling, island time, lunch, drinks, and a scenic beach experience.
Which island trip offers more water games?
Paradise Island includes banana and sofa rides alongside snorkeling and island time, making it suitable for travelers seeking a more active day.
Are dolphins guaranteed at Dolphin House?
No. Dolphins live freely in the Red Sea, so their location and behavior cannot be guaranteed on any natural marine excursion.
How much does a Hurghada boat trip cost?
Orange Bay, Paradise Island, and Dolphin House currently start from €25 per person. The final cost depends on the date, hotel location, and selected package.
How much is a private speedboat?
The current four-hour private speedboat program costs €150 for the whole boat for up to six guests.
Are snorkeling items included?
Snorkeling equipment and life jackets are included in the main official snorkeling programs. Check the selected booking page before payment.
Can non-swimmers join boat trips?
Non-swimmers can join many programs and enjoy the boat or island. They should inform the crew and use a life jacket when entering the water.
Are Hurghada boat trips suitable for children?
Many island programs accept families, but parents should review the trip duration, water activities, child conditions, and safety equipment.
Are hotel transfers included?
Transfers from hotels within Hurghada are included in many programs. Extra fees usually apply to selected surrounding resort areas.
What should I bring on the boat?
Bring swimwear, a towel, sunscreen, sunglasses, dry clothing, personal medication, and a waterproof case for your phone.

Yes. Wind and sea conditions can change the boat route, snorkeling locations, water sports, or operating schedule.
When should I reserve a boat trip?
Reserve early when visiting during busy periods or when you need a particular date, private boat, or family arrangement.
A Luxor private tour from Hurghada is arranged by quotation for your party, with the vehicle, guide, route and inclusions agreed before booking. It can suit travelers who want exclusive transport or a different sightseeing plan. There is no single published private fare, and a request for a particular service becomes part of the booking only when it is confirmed.
The €65 bus and €80 minibus are shared adult fares. The minibus has a maximum of eight guests and is not automatically private when you book several seats. Use this guide to compare the formats, set your priorities and request a complete private price without confusing transport-only service with a guided excursion.
Request a private Luxor quotation on WhatsApp with your date, full hotel name, party size, children’s ages, preferred guide language and the sites that matter most to you. We can then confirm what is available for that request.
Luxor private tour from Hurghada: compare the options
The published bus excursion and small-group minibus both cover Karnak, the Valley of the Kings with three standard tombs, Hatshepsut Temple and the Colossi of Memnon. Their listed services include an Egyptologist, standard admissions, lunch, drinks and Hurghada hotel transfers.
For these shared options, Makadi Bay and Sahl Hasheesh transfers add €5 per person; Soma Bay, Safaga and El Gouna add €10. Confirm the exact hotel and total. Private transfer pricing is part of the individual quotation, so the shared supplement is not a substitute for a private quote.
Choose the bus or minibus if the published program meets your needs and you are comfortable following a shared schedule. Request private service if exclusive transport, a dedicated guide or a specifically agreed route matters more to your party. A higher price alone does not establish any of those arrangements.
Karnak can be part of the agreed private route or the published shared itinerary.
What should be private in your quotation?
For your Luxor private tour from Hurghada, specify the vehicle and guide separately. A private transfer can mean that only your party uses the vehicle while providing no guided sightseeing at all. A private guided day should explain who provides the commentary, the agreed language and the sites and hours covered.
Ask whether the guide accompanies the road journey or meets you in Luxor. Either arrangement needs to be clear before travel. Also confirm who will contact you about pickup and who is the point of contact if the hotel meeting arrangement changes.
Vehicle capacity must account for every traveler and any luggage or equipment. Give the number of adults, children’s ages and any essential seating request. Do not treat a description such as “VIP” as confirmation of a particular vehicle model, child seat, onboard toilet or Wi-Fi.
Exclusive transport does not make the archaeological sites private. You may still encounter other visitors, entry checks and busy areas. It also does not include permission to enter closed sections, skip admission procedures or use a particular tomb.
Build the itinerary around your priorities
To plan a Luxor private tour from Hurghada, use the four-site shared route as a starting point. Put your essential visits first, then identify changes you would like to request. A route with fewer stops and more time at one monument is different from a plan that adds several attractions.
Tell us how you would like the historical explanation pitched: detailed discussion of dynasties and inscriptions, or shorter stories and visual details for children. Request this alongside the guide language so your priorities are clear before the day; a particular guide or presentation style still requires confirmation.
Karnak and the East Bank
Karnak offers monumental gateways, courts, columns and royal inscriptions. Tell us whether your main interest is historical explanation, the temple layout or photography. Your guide can plan the discussion around your interests within the confirmed time and accessible areas.
Read the Karnak visitor guide before choosing priorities. For archaeological background, the Egyptian Ministry’s Karnak page is an official reference; its site information does not establish what your private package includes.
The Valley of the Kings
If the Valley is included, ask whether the quotation covers standard admission with three available standard tombs. Special tombs, including Tutankhamun’s if available, require separate admission unless explicitly included. A private guide does not turn a special ticket into standard entry.
State any particular tomb interest when requesting the route, but allow for opening arrangements on the day. Guiding access and site rules can affect where explanations are given. The Valley of the Kings guide explains the distinction between the basic visit and optional tickets.
Hatshepsut Temple and the Colossi of Memnon
Hatshepsut Temple adds terraces, ramps and a dramatic cliff setting to the West Bank visit. The Colossi provide a separate outdoor stop. Confirm both in the route if you want them; neither should be assumed merely because a quotation is described as a “Luxor day.”
Explain any difficulty with stairs, slopes or prolonged outdoor walking before the plan is finalized. Extra breaks can be requested, but the route must allow enough time for those breaks and the return journey. An accessible vehicle does not establish access to every temple level or tomb.
Discuss walking needs and the time available for the West Bank before confirming the itinerary.
Can you add Luxor Temple, special tombs or a boat?
If you want Luxor Temple on your Luxor private tour from Hurghada, name it in your request. It is a different site from Karnak and is not included in the published shared program. It can be requested for a custom plan, subject to availability and a workable schedule. Ask what changes elsewhere in the route and whether its admission and any additional service are included.
Medinet Habu and the Valley of the Queens are separate requests as well. They are not implied by a visit to the Valley of the Kings. Ask which planned stop would be shortened or replaced, what admission is needed and whether the revised route remains practical.
The same approach applies to extra tombs or a Nile boat activity. Obtain the price, approximate time required and the effect on the rest of the day before agreeing. For a boat, confirm the type of trip, who shares it, boarding arrangements and the alternative if you choose not to join.
Do not add a balloon flight, evening show or distant temple on the assumption that private transport makes every combination possible. Those requests need a separate feasibility check and may require a different departure plan or overnight stay. An unconfirmed addition is not part of the booked excursion.
If you mainly want a clear standard route, the one-day planning guide can help you decide what to prioritize. Keep a short list of essential visits and a separate list of optional interests when requesting your quotation.
Luxor Temple must be named in a custom itinerary; it is not another name for Karnak.
Private tour price: compare complete party totals
For comparison with a shared road tour: Infants aged 0–3 pay €20 on the Luxor bus or €35 on the Luxor mini bus (Hiace). These shared-tour infant fares do not apply automatically to a private vehicle, flight or standalone attraction ticket.
Your Luxor private tour from Hurghada price depends on the date, hotel, passengers, vehicle, guide and confirmed services. Request one total for your actual party, with the currency and pricing basis stated. A per-vehicle figure cannot be compared directly with a per-person package fare.
Two adults from Hurghada have a shared base comparison of €130 by bus or €160 by minibus. These amounts include the listed shared services. A private quote may cost more or cover a different route; compare it for the exclusivity and services you actually want rather than treating it as an identical product.

Item
What the quotation should establish
Transport
Exclusive vehicle, all agreed hotel and site transfers, passenger and luggage capacity
Guide
Whether dedicated to your party, language, meeting point and duration
Admissions
Named sites, standard tomb access and any specified special tickets
Food and drinks
Whether lunch and drinks are included and any agreed dietary arrangement

Your Luxor private tour from Hurghada quotation should state whether lunch and drinks are covered. Both are included in our linked shared programs, but private inclusions depend on the agreed package. The same principle applies to admissions and hotel supplements.
Ask for clarification of any unpriced essential item before accepting the quote. Optional special tombs, boat activities and personal purchases should be distinguishable from the amount required for the agreed day. Keep a copy of the confirmed itinerary and total together.
Pickup, duration and the return journey
A Luxor private tour from Hurghada by road remains a long day. The published shared excursions take about 15 hours overall; use that to understand the scale of the journey, not as a promised duration for every private itinerary. Your private timing depends on the actual hotel, route, breaks and operating conditions.
Confirm the collection time and exact meeting point for your hotel. If pickup or drop-off involves a different hotel, send both names at the quotation stage. An airport drop-off or one-way finish in Luxor also needs its own agreed plan and luggage allowance.
A private vehicle may avoid collecting unrelated guests if that is the agreed arrangement, but it does not guarantee a shorter drive or an early return. Do not book a same-evening flight or another timed activity around an assumed finishing time. Tell us about a fixed connection before accepting the route.
Rest stops and meal timing should be part of the discussion, especially for a family or anyone who needs regular breaks. If you request a later start, ask which visits remain practical. Starting later while keeping every stop may change the return time or make the plan unsuitable.
Children, mobility needs and practical comfort
For families, a Luxor private tour from Hurghada can be planned around the party, but suitability depends on the child and the confirmed arrangements. Share each child’s age and any essential seating need before booking. Do not assume infants travel free or that the shared child fare automatically applies to private service.
Child seats, step-free boarding and space for a wheelchair or stroller must be specifically confirmed. Describe the equipment and assistance required, rather than relying on a general label such as “family friendly.” If an essential requirement cannot be met, reconsider the route or format before committing.
For meals, explain dietary restrictions and ask what can actually be provided. Do not infer an allergy-safe kitchen, refrigeration or a particular menu from the inclusion of lunch. Bring any personal items you need for the journey and discuss practical limitations in advance.
Some travelers prefer fewer visits with more pauses; others want the standard route. Private service gives you an opportunity to request that plan, subject to confirmation. It does not remove heat, uneven ground, stairs or the effort involved in visiting ancient monuments.
A useful private plan balances the monuments you want to see with your party’s walking pace.
Shopping preferences and preparation
If you want a Luxor private tour from Hurghada without shopping stops, have that preference recorded in the confirmed itinerary. If a workshop interests you, identify it as a requested stop and ask how it affects the sightseeing time. Purchases are your choice, separate from admission to the agreed monuments.
Prepare comfortable shoes, sun protection, a light layer appropriate to the season, personal medication and a charged phone. Ask your hotel about an early breakfast box if needed. Carry the identification requested for your booking, your confirmation and suitable funds for agreed payments or chosen extras.
Keep the pickup contact and hotel location accessible before departure. At each stop, confirm where to meet again and when. Follow the guide’s and site’s instructions, and ask before entering an unfamiliar or restricted area. No tour format can promise that a long outdoor day will suit everyone.
Booking, payment and cancellation
To book a Luxor private tour from Hurghada, start with a request and review the written quotation and itinerary. Check the exclusivity of transport and guiding, all inclusions, any essential personal requirement and the final party total. Sending a message does not itself confirm availability or reserve an unagreed service.
Payment is made when the trip takes place under our current general arrangement; confirm the accepted method and currency. If a requested private service involves a specific committed cost or payment exception, it must be disclosed before payment and recorded in your confirmation.
The current booking terms provide a full refund for cancellation received at least 24 hours before the confirmed tour start. Later cancellation and no-shows are non-refundable. The deadline uses Egypt local time and receipt of the request.
A date change requested at least 24 hours ahead has no change fee, subject to availability, confirmation and any price difference. Operator cancellation, including unsafe weather, provides an available alternative date or full refund. Any non-refundable ticket or committed-cost exception must be clearly disclosed before payment and included in the booking confirmation.
Private quotation request: We would like to travel on [date] from [full hotel]. Our party is [adults and children’s ages]. Please quote exclusive transport and a dedicated [language] guide for [essential sites]. Our requirements are [seating, walking pace, luggage or meals]. Please confirm the itinerary, inclusions, total, payment arrangements and cancellation terms.
Private Luxor booking questions
Does booking eight minibus seats make the tour private?
Not automatically. The published minibus is a shared product with a maximum of eight guests. Exclusive use and any private guiding must be separately agreed and recorded in your confirmation.
Can I book transport without a guide?
You can request a transport-only quotation. Make the distinction clear: it should identify the route, waiting time and transfers, and explain which admissions, meals and guiding services you would arrange separately. Availability requires confirmation.
Can our private guide meet us in Luxor?
Ask for the guide meeting point and hours in the quotation. Do not assume the guide travels from Hurghada with you or is available beyond the agreed sightseeing period.
Is a Luxor private tour from Hurghada worth it for two people?
It depends on your priorities and the actual quote. Two adults have a shared base comparison of €130 by bus or €160 by minibus. Consider whether confirmed exclusivity or route changes justify the private total for you.
Can we leave later or return early?
Request the timing before booking so the route can be assessed. A later departure or earlier finish may require fewer visits. Private transport does not shorten the road distance or guarantee a particular return time.
Can I book a private itinerary without shopping stops?
Yes, you can request it. Have the no-shopping preference and the agreed visits recorded in the itinerary before confirming the booking; do not rely on the word private alone.
Are child seats and wheelchair space guaranteed?
No. State the exact requirement and obtain confirmation for the actual vehicle and route. Vehicle access, equipment storage and access within monuments are separate questions.
Can we add Luxor Temple and choose specific tombs?
You can request those priorities, but the route, admission costs and available time must be agreed. Luxor Temple is separate from Karnak, and a requested tomb cannot be guaranteed open for your date.
What happens if our hotel or passenger number changes?
Contact us before travel with the revised details. A different location or group size may change the vehicle, price or timing; obtain an updated confirmation rather than assuming the original quote still applies.
Which cancellation rules apply to a custom private booking?
The website terms apply unless a specific exception is disclosed before payment and included in your confirmation. Check any committed ticket or service cost and the deadline for your confirmed start time before accepting the quotation.
Sharm El Naga Bay is a Red Sea shore-snorkeling destination south of Hurghada, known for its beach and house reef. A shore visit differs from a boat excursion because the beach is the starting point for water access. That format does not, by itself, establish swimming conditions, accessibility or suitability for every visitor.
Current availability: Hurghada Travels is not offering the Sharm El Naga trip at present. This is a destination guide, not an available tour or booking offer. We do not quote a package price, promise hotel pickup or accept this article as confirmation of beach admission, equipment or meals.
Availability was confirmed on 27 September 2026. If you are choosing a currently listed sea activity with us, use the alternatives below and read its actual booking page. A different snorkeling trip is not a substitute booking for Sharm El Naga.
1. Sharm El Naga Bay: current availability
The Sharm El Naga excursion is currently unavailable through us. There is no confirmed departure date, package price, child fare, hotel transfer or list of included services to book from this page. Older wording inviting a reservation should not be used as evidence that the trip is operating through Hurghada Travels.
This availability statement concerns our excursion. It does not say that the destination itself is closed. Independent access, accommodation and any third-party services have their own current rules, which a visitor must verify before making arrangements.
If the trip becomes available again, it will need a current program stating the date, access arrangements, inclusions, participant conditions and total price. Until then, do not plan a holiday day around a presumed collection or assume that a general snorkeling enquiry has reserved this destination.
2. What distinguishes the bay
Sharm El Naga is on the Red Sea coast south of Hurghada. Its beach and house reef explain the interest in shore snorkeling: you begin from the shore rather than traveling aboard a day boat between separate reef stops. A place description cannot guarantee that every visitor has unrestricted access or may enter at any point along the beach.
There are two different decisions to make. First, decide whether a shore-based day suits your group better than a boat outing. Then establish the current access and water arrangements for the specific destination. Choosing the first does not resolve the second.
Shore access can make it possible to return to the beach between agreed water sessions, subject to local rules and conditions. It should not be described as automatically easier, calmer or safe for a beginner. The entry surface, waves, wind, depth changes, permitted route and available supervision all matter on the actual day.
General snorkeling photograph from the company album. It is not identified as Sharm El Naga and does not show the bay’s current entry conditions.
3. Access and transport questions
Before arranging an independent visit, confirm that day entry is available for your date and which entrance you should use. Establish the applicable admission price, child conditions, opening hours and whether an advance reservation is required. We have not verified a current independent-access price for this guide.
A transport quote and a beach-access quote are separate unless the written arrangement explicitly combines them. Paying a driver does not itself establish a right to enter a private beach, use equipment or receive a meal. Ask what happens if entry is unavailable or water activities are restricted after arrival.
Agree the return journey before leaving your hotel. Confirm the meeting point, return time, waiting arrangement and contact method, and keep the details available offline. Do not assume that an outward transfer includes a waiting vehicle or a later collection.
The earlier blanket estimate of 40–70 minutes is not used here as a promise. Your exact hotel, route, traffic and transport arrangements determine travel time. Obtain an estimate for the complete journey, especially if you have a flight, a fixed meal or another booking afterward.
For mobility needs, ask concrete questions about the vehicle, entrance, walking distance, surfaces, steps and changing facilities. A sandy beach photograph cannot establish step-free access, availability of assistance or the suitability of the route for a wheelchair or stroller.
4. Water entry and snorkeling conditions
Use the entry route and permitted area identified by the responsible local team. Follow current warning flags, closures and instructions. A shallow-looking area can still have waves, slippery footing or deeper water nearby; being close to land does not replace an assessment of conditions and ability.
Tell the responsible professional your swimming confidence and snorkeling experience before entering. Ask what supervision is actually provided, where the permitted route ends and what to do if you need assistance. Do not treat another confident guest as a substitute for the arrangements your ability requires.
Check the fit of your equipment under appropriate supervision. A leaking mask, discomfort, fatigue or uncertainty is a reason to stop and ask for help, not to move farther out to keep up with others. Do not enter a reef area just because you have already paid for access or transport.
Flotation equipment can be part of an agreed arrangement, but it does not make every sea condition suitable or establish independent swimming ability. The responsible team must confirm participation requirements. Staying ashore remains an option if the water activity does not suit you.
For a broader comparison of shore access and boat access, read our Hurghada shore-snorkeling guide. For first-time preparation, use the snorkeling guide for beginners. Neither linked guide is confirmation that the Sharm El Naga excursion is available through us.
5. Children and non-swimmers
A family visit requires more than knowing whether the beach has shallow water. Confirm each child’s permitted activities, equipment sizes, supervision arrangements and the family’s ability to rest out of the sun. Send actual ages when checking entry conditions; do not apply child rates from an unrelated boat product.
Children need close, appropriate adult supervision even when beach staff are present. Pool confidence should not be treated as proof of open-water ability. Do not pressure a child to snorkel, move toward the reef or remain in the water because the rest of the group wants to continue.
Non-swimmers should not be promised participation on the basis of a life jacket or a beach entry. Discuss the actual requirements with the responsible professional. If those requirements cannot be met, choose a dry activity or remain ashore within the venue’s access rules.
Our guide for non-swimmers helps explain the questions to ask. A currently listed alternative for underwater viewing without snorkeling is the Panorama semi-submarine, discussed below. Boarding, steps and individual access needs still need checking; a dry activity is not automatically accessible to everyone.
Photograph of the Panorama alternative in our media library. This is a separate boat activity, not a facility at Sharm El Naga.
6. Equipment and beach facilities
There is no Sharm El Naga package inclusion list from us while the excursion is unavailable. For an independently arranged visit, establish whether admission includes a lounger, shade, toilets, changing facilities, showers or storage. Confirm which facilities are usable during your planned visit instead of relying on a promotional photograph.
Ask separately about masks, snorkels, fins, flotation equipment and suitable sizes for your group. Establish whether rental costs extra and whether a guide or supervised session is part of the arrangement. Equipment availability does not mean that tuition, a private guide or unrestricted reef access is included.
Food and drink also need their own confirmation. Check whether a meal is included, bought separately or subject to a venue rule, and raise dietary needs before arrival. Do not rely on a generic “beach day” description as confirmation of lunch, unlimited drinks or a particular menu.
Pack for the arrangements you actually confirm: swimwear if participating, towel, dry clothes, sun protection, a suitable cover-up and any personal essentials. Bring only the valuables you need and confirm storage arrangements. Our snorkeling equipment checklist explains fit and rental questions; it is not a list of items automatically supplied here.
7. Reef care and photographs
Observe reef life without touching, standing on or collecting coral. Keep fins clear of the reef and avoid chasing or feeding animals. Use the designated entry route rather than walking across a reef formation to reach deeper water. NOAA’s coral guidance explains how careless contact and other human activity can damage reefs.
Fish and coral photographs illustrate the type of environment people are interested in, but they are not a checklist of sightings. Visibility and marine life vary. We do not promise a particular fish, turtle, ray or other animal, and a company-album image should not be assumed to show this bay unless its location has been verified.
General Red Sea marine-life illustration from the company album; not a verified Sharm El Naga sighting or a wildlife guarantee.
The images in this guide are explicitly identified as general illustrations or separate alternatives. We have not verified a current company-album photograph of the Sharm El Naga entry route and facilities. Do not use these pictures to infer beach layout, depth, current visibility or the equipment available on a particular date.
8. Currently listed alternatives
If you want to book an available program through us, start with the experience you want rather than choosing a trip only because it contains the word snorkeling. The alternatives below have their own booking pages and are not shore-access bookings for Sharm El Naga.
Panorama semi-submarine: approximately three hours with underwater-window viewing, a diver show and an optional snorkeling stop. You can choose the viewing-cabin experience without entering the sea. Check boarding and access needs.
Orange Bay snorkeling: approximately eight hours combining two reef stops, island time, lunch, drinks, equipment and Hurghada hotel transfer. It is a full boat day, not a shore-only visit.
Paradise Island snorkeling: a separate approximately eight-hour island and snorkeling program with the listed meal, drinks, equipment and Hurghada transfer. Water activities depend on the program and conditions.
Dolphin House snorkeling: a boat program with three planned snorkeling stops and the possibility of encountering wild dolphins. Encounters are never guaranteed.
Use the main snorkeling comparison to choose among the programs and the current excursion price list to compare fares and pricing units. Confirm suitability, hotel supplements and the final total on the exact trip you select.
9. Before arranging a visit independently
Keep a clear written answer to each practical question before setting off. This checklist is for evaluating your own arrangements; it is not an invitation to reserve an unavailable Hurghada Travels excursion.
Is access confirmed for the intended date, group and arrival time?
What is the full admission charge, including child conditions and any required reservation?
Which entrance and return pickup point will you use?
Who supplies transport in both directions, and what waiting time is agreed?
What equipment, supervision and permitted water activities are actually included?
What happens if weather or a local restriction prevents entering the water?
Are shade, toilets, changing facilities, meals and storage confirmed?
What access or participation needs must be resolved for each traveler?
What cancellation terms apply to each separate service you arrange?
Do not apply the cancellation terms of a different company or one of our unrelated boat trips to an independently booked visit. Keep the terms that belong to the actual service provider and the reservation you make.

Sharm El Naga Bay questions
Can I book Sharm El Naga with Hurghada Travels now?
No. The excursion is currently unavailable through us. This page is a destination guide and does not offer a departure, package price or confirmed pickup.
Does unavailable mean the bay itself is closed?
No. It means we are not currently offering the excursion. Independent entry and other services have separate current arrangements that must be verified.
Is there a confirmed Sharm El Naga price here?
No. We do not publish an unverified package or admission price. Do not use the fare for another snorkeling trip as the price of visiting this bay.
Is Sharm El Naga a shore-snorkeling destination?
The bay is known for its beach and house reef, with shore access forming the attraction. Current entry permission, routes, conditions and supervision still need checking.
Is beach entry automatically suitable for beginners?
No. The entry route, conditions, ability, equipment and supervision matter. Ask the responsible professional before participating rather than assuming that proximity to shore makes snorkeling suitable.
Can a non-swimmer join the water activity with a life jacket?
Do not assume so. Flotation alone does not establish eligibility or suitable conditions. Confirm requirements with the responsible professional and choose a dry option when appropriate.
Are children automatically admitted free?
No child or infant admission rule is confirmed here. Check actual ages and access conditions for the visit you independently arrange.
Are equipment, meals and transport included?
There is no current package from us. For other arrangements, obtain an explicit list of inclusions and costs instead of assuming those services come together.
Do the photographs show the exact bay?
No verified current company-album location photographs were available for this review. The captions identify general reef illustrations and the separate Panorama alternative.
What can I book instead if I do not want to snorkel?
The currently listed Panorama semi-submarine offers underwater-window viewing with an optional snorkeling stop. Confirm boarding, steps and your individual access needs before booking.
Can I use another tour’s cancellation policy for an independent visit?
No. Use the terms attached to the actual service and provider you book. Separate transport and admission arrangements may have different terms.
Is the private speedboat an available Sharm El Naga transfer?
No such transfer is offered by the current private speedboat program. Its listed dolphin-search and snorkeling route must not be treated as a booking for this destination.
Semi Submarine Hurghada is a short Red Sea outing built around viewing coral and fish through an underwater cabin. The boat stays at the surface, and snorkeling is optional. It is worth considering when some people in your group want a marine experience without entering the sea, provided the boarding and cabin access work for them.
The current Panorama program is listed at €25 for ages 11 and over, €15 for ages 4–10, and free for ages 0–3, with an approximate three-hour experience. It includes Hurghada hotel transfer, underwater viewing, a diver show, one optional snorkeling stop, snorkeling equipment and a drink. Your complete hotel-to-hotel schedule and any resort supplement need confirmation.
This guide helps you decide what to expect and what to check. For availability and the current booking total, use the Panorama Semi Submarine Hurghada tour page. Program details were checked against the current site records on 27 September 2026.
1. What a Semi Submarine Hurghada trip actually offers
The main Semi Submarine Hurghada attraction is the viewing cabin below the waterline. You watch the passing underwater scenery from inside the vessel. You do not wear a diving mask or breathe through scuba equipment to use the cabin, and the entire boat does not descend beneath the surface.
This distinction matters when comparing advertisements. “Glass boat,” “semi-submarine” and “submarine” can describe different viewing arrangements. Ask for a description of the actual vessel and its cabin, rather than choosing by a dramatic picture or the product name alone. Our glass boat and semi-submarine comparison explains the viewing and access questions in more detail.
Choose Semi Submarine Hurghada for the combination of dry underwater viewing and a short boat outing. Do not expect the long reef schedule of a full-day cruise, an island beach visit or a private vessel. Those are different booking decisions. The standard Panorama listing does not promise a private cabin, a particular window seat or an empty boat.
Deck seating shown in the existing tour library. Confirm the layout and access of the vessel allocated to your departure.
2. Semi Submarine Hurghada prices and what is included
Compare the total for your actual party, not a headline “from” price. The age categories below come from the current Panorama trip details. Child pricing is a fare rule; it is not approval to take part in snorkeling or a promise that the cabin is accessible to every traveler.

For example, two adults and one seven-year-old have a listed base total of €65. Two adults and two children aged four to ten have a base total of €80. These examples exclude any separately confirmed hotel supplement and optional purchases. They should not be applied to the Panorama-and-safari combination, which is a different product with its own child fare.
Included in the current Panorama listing
The semi-submarine trip and panoramic underwater viewing.
A diver show in the planned program.
One snorkeling stop, with entry into the water optional.
Snorkeling equipment and a drink.
Hotel pickup and drop-off in Hurghada.
Keep optional spending separate
Personal expenses and professional photos or videos are extra unless purchased. Lunch is not listed as part of the base program. Hotels outside Hurghada may require a transfer supplement, which should be confirmed for the exact hotel. Do not assume that equipment rental, a marine fee or an island ticket must be added simply because another boat excursion charges for it: ask for the actual written total for this product.
3. The planned Semi Submarine Hurghada program
The advertised Semi Submarine Hurghada duration is approximately three hours. Treat that as a planning estimate and request the pickup and expected hotel return. The booking time, marina departure and hotel collection time are different pieces of information. Avoid scheduling an airport transfer or another fixed appointment immediately after an estimated return.
Hotel collection: meet the transfer at the confirmed location and time. Give the team your full hotel name and a reachable contact number.
Boarding: follow the crew’s directions and check where to keep your bag. Ask about the cabin route before descending if steps or enclosed spaces are a concern.
Underwater viewing: take your place by the viewing windows and watch the reef and fish along the route.
Diver show: this is part of the listed program; the onboard team controls its timing and order.
Optional snorkeling: the planned stop gives eligible guests the choice to enter the water with the supplied equipment. Staying aboard is also an option.
Return: rejoin the hotel transfer after the boat reaches the marina.
There is no published promise of a fixed number of minutes at each window or in the water. Operating conditions can affect the order and timing. If a specific part of the program is essential to your booking, discuss it before confirmation rather than relying on a generic itinerary found elsewhere.
Reef photograph from the company album. It illustrates marine life rather than a guaranteed view from a particular departure.
4. What you may see through the windows
Coral and reef fish are the focus of the viewing experience. Visibility and the animals present vary, so photographs should help explain the environment without promising an identical scene. A specific fish, turtle or dolphin is not part of a guaranteed checklist. Panorama is not sold as a dolphin-searching excursion.
Corals are living animals, not underwater decorations. The NOAA explanation of coral biology is useful background for families who want to understand what they are looking at. Encourage children to notice shapes and colors instead of expecting every species from a photograph to appear.
For pictures through the glass, check reflections on your screen, give other guests space, and follow the crew’s directions about where you may stand. Do not obstruct the aisle or put a child on an unsafe perch to improve a photograph. The guide to semi-submarine seats and windows covers viewing positions without promising one universally best side of the boat.
An example of reef fish from the existing media library; sightings and water clarity vary.
5. Families, non-swimmers and cabin access
A Semi Submarine Hurghada booking can give non-swimmers an underwater view while remaining inside the boat. That does not make every part of the outing suitable for everyone. Boarding a vessel and moving between decks can involve steps, narrow passages or changing footing. Discuss these requirements before reserving, particularly for guests who need assistance.
Ask about the gangway, handrails, stairs, available seating and how your group will move into and out of the cabin. Confirm toilet arrangements, stroller storage or other practical needs if they matter to you. The standard inclusions do not establish that the vessel has step-free access or a particular accessible toilet.
For families, provide each child’s age and agree who is supervising them throughout the program. An adult joining the snorkeling stop may not be available to supervise a child who remains aboard. Plan this division before the stop, rather than assuming the crew provides dedicated childcare.
Entering the sea is a separate decision from buying a boat ticket. Tell the team your swimming ability and follow their assessment and briefing. Do not use the presence of equipment or a flotation aid as proof that open-water snorkeling is appropriate. Guests who do not intend to swim can plan around cabin viewing and time aboard.
The family semi-submarine checklist focuses on these arrangements. For a mixed group, ask each traveler what they want from the day: underwater viewing, a swim, a beach visit or simply a short outing. It is easier to choose the right product once those expectations are clear.
6. Choose the right sea trip for your plans
Keep the decision based on activities and access, rather than labels such as “VIP” or “best.” Paying more does not by itself guarantee a clearer window, calmer water or fewer people. Compare the actual inclusions and the time you want to spend away from the hotel.
Choose Panorama when dry underwater viewing is the main attraction and a shorter outing fits your plans.
Consider an island day when you want a beach visit and a longer marine program. The Orange Bay trip is a separate excursion; it is not included in Panorama.
Consider a combination only if everyone wants both activities. The Panorama and three-hour safari combination is a longer program, not a three-hour version of the whole combined day.
Ask about the second activity’s requirements before choosing the Panorama and parasailing combination. A fare does not automatically establish eligibility to fly.
A private speedboat is also a different type of experience: it does not replace an underwater viewing cabin. Do not select it as a “private semi-submarine” unless a separate, clearly described service has actually been confirmed.
Underwater photography illustrates the reef environment, not the view or species guaranteed through a cabin window.
7. Prepare for your Semi Submarine Hurghada outing
Pack for the Semi Submarine Hurghada activities you intend to do. Comfortable clothing, sun protection and secure footwear are useful for a boat outing. Bring swimwear and a towel if you plan to snorkel, and keep a dry layer available for the return. A small bag is easier to manage on steps and between seats than a large beach bag.
Keep your phone and valuables protected from water, and take responsibility for your belongings when moving between areas of the boat. The included drink does not imply a full meal or an unlimited drinks package. If you need particular refreshments, ask what can be brought aboard.
Sea conditions vary from day to day; a morning departure or a particular month is not a guarantee of a smooth trip. If boat motion, enclosed spaces or a health condition is a concern, obtain appropriate advice before choosing the activity and describe practical assistance needs to the booking team. Do not wait until boarding to raise an essential access requirement.
Send a clear booking request
Give the date, exact hotel, number of travelers, children’s ages and a contact number. Say whether anyone intends to remain aboard, needs help on stairs or has another fixed commitment that day. Request confirmation of the total, transfer supplement if any, pickup location and expected return.
Use the Hurghada Travels contact page for questions and the actual tour page to check the program. A useful confirmation describes what you booked; an unspecific promise of “VIP service” is not a substitute for the included activities, timings and transport arrangements.
Cancellation and date changes
The current policy allows a full refund for cancellation received at least 24 hours before the confirmed tour start. Late cancellations and no-shows are non-refundable. A date-change request made at least 24 hours ahead has no change fee, subject to availability, any price difference and confirmation of the new date. If the company cancels, including for unsafe weather, choose an available alternative date or a full refund. Read the full cancellation and date-change terms and any disclosed exceptions in your confirmation. Deadlines use local time in Egypt.
Which of your Panorama options has the lowest adult price?
The standalone Panorama semi-submarine is €25 per adult aged 11+. The separate Panorama-and-parasailing and Panorama-and-safari combinations are each €50 per adult. Choose the standalone trip if you want cabin viewing and the optional snorkeling stop without paying for the extra activity. Compare each combination’s own child fare, eligibility, hotel arrangements and full schedule before booking.
How can I book Panorama without paying in advance?
Use the Panorama booking page or contact our team with your date, full hotel name, number of travelers and every child’s age. Confirm availability, the group total and any outside-Hurghada transfer supplement. No advance deposit is required. Pay cash in euros to our representative on the trip day, at pickup before the excursion begins. Keep the confirmed total and pickup time with your booking.
Are there compulsory photo or equipment purchases?
No. The standard fare includes a snorkeling mask and fins, a drink and Hurghada hotel transfers. Photos, videos and personal purchases are optional extras. Lunch is not part of this short program. Ask for your final hotel transfer quote and total before booking so you can budget for the outing.
Does the whole semi-submarine go underwater?
No. The vessel stays at the surface. Its viewing cabin sits below sea level, so you look out through underwater windows without using scuba equipment. A booking for Panorama is not a fully submerged submarine excursion.
What is the current Semi Submarine Hurghada price?
The listed Panorama fare is €25 for guests aged 11 and over, €15 for ages 4–10 inclusive, and free for ages 0–3. Two adults total €50, two adults with one child aged 4–10 total €65, or €80 with two children aged 4–10. These are sums of the fares, not a family discount. Include every traveler when booking. Confirm any hotel supplement and optional purchases separately; the booking confirmation gives your final total.
How long should I allow between hotel pickup and return?
The current trip page lists an approximate three-hour experience. This is a planning estimate, not a guaranteed door-to-door duration. Hotel location, marina arrangements and operating conditions affect the complete outing. Ask for the expected pickup and return before making another commitment.
Can I book the cabin experience without snorkeling?
Yes. Entering the water is optional. Tell the team before booking that you intend to stay aboard, and confirm any assistance needed for boarding or reaching the cabin. A non-swimming plan still requires attention to access, supervision and boat conditions.
Are snorkeling equipment and a drink included?
Yes. The published base program includes snorkeling equipment and a drink, alongside viewing, the planned diver show, one optional snorkeling stop and Hurghada hotel transfer. Equipment inclusion does not guarantee every size or establish that a guest is eligible to enter the water.
Is lunch included in this short boat trip?
Lunch is not listed among the base inclusions. Do not assume the meal arrangements of an island day trip apply to Panorama. If a snack or a specific dietary arrangement matters, ask about it before the outing.
Can young children or guests with limited mobility use the cabin?
Discuss the specific traveler and the actual vessel before booking. Ask about the gangway, steps, handrails, seating and any assistance required. A child fare or a family-friendly description does not guarantee step-free access or suitability for everyone.
Will I have a reserved window seat?
A particular seat, private cabin or exclusive window is not promised in the published standard inclusions. Ask about arrangements for your group. Seat location alone cannot guarantee clear views; water conditions, the route and the windows also matter.
Are Orange Bay and dolphin watching included?
No. The listed Panorama program is underwater viewing, a diver show and an optional snorkeling stop. An island visit or a dolphin-searching route belongs to a different product unless your written confirmation explicitly says otherwise. Wildlife sightings are never guaranteed by an illustrative photograph.
Is pickup from El Gouna or Makadi Bay automatically included?
Hurghada hotel transfer is included. For other resort areas, send the exact hotel name and request the transfer arrangement and supplement. Do not copy the transport charge from another excursion, because different products can use different arrangements.
Can some of our group snorkel while others stay on board?
That is consistent with the optional snorkeling format. Tell the team your group’s plans and swimming abilities. Agree how children and anyone needing assistance will be supervised; do not assume a partner entering the water can also supervise someone remaining aboard.
What if weather changes or I need to cancel?
The current terms provide a full refund when cancellation is received at least 24 hours before the confirmed start time. Later cancellations and no-shows are non-refundable. If the company cancels, including for unsafe weather, you may choose an available alternative date or a full refund. Read the full terms and your confirmation for any disclosed exceptions.
Book a Hurghada City Tour and discover the modern marina, traditional neighborhoods, local markets, religious landmarks, and everyday life beyond the walls of your Red Sea resort.
Hurghada is widely known for beaches, coral reefs, and all-inclusive hotels, but the city also has a local side that many visitors miss. A guided city tour helps you understand the different districts, visit important landmarks, and explore shopping areas without spending valuable holiday time trying to organize transportation between distant locations.
The experience can be especially useful during the first days of your holiday. Once you understand the main areas of Hurghada, it becomes easier to plan evening walks, shopping visits, restaurants, marina activities, and other excursions.
Through Hurghada tours and excursions, you can compare available holiday activities. For a current city-tour option, message Hurghada Travels on WhatsApp with your hotel, travel date, group size, preferred language, and sightseeing priorities.
Book a Hurghada City Tour
Booking an organized Hurghada City Tour gives you a planned route through the city instead of relying on separate taxis or walking between areas that may be far apart.
Hurghada extends along a large section of the Red Sea coast. The marina, El Dahar, El Mina Mosque, local markets, and tourist promenades are not all located within one compact walking district.
A guided program can combine:
Hotel pickup and drop-off.
Air-conditioned transportation.
Hurghada Marina.
El Dahar Old Town.
Local markets.
El Mina Mosque.
A Coptic church stop.
Shopping time.
Local guidance.
Photography stops.
The exact route depends on the package selected and the opening conditions of each location. Request the complete itinerary before booking rather than assuming that every city tour includes the same stops.
Hurghada City Tour Benefits
A city tour is not only a sightseeing drive. It can provide practical orientation that helps you during the rest of your holiday.
The main benefits include:
Understanding Hurghada’s main districts.
Visiting several locations in one trip.
Reducing unnecessary taxi journeys.
Receiving local shopping guidance.
Seeing modern and traditional areas.
Learning basic cultural etiquette.
Finding suitable places to revisit.
Exploring beyond the resort zone.
First-time visitors often find local markets and busy streets more comfortable when accompanied by someone familiar with the city.
A guide can also explain where bargaining is expected, where prices are normally fixed, and which products require more careful comparison.
Hurghada Marina City Tour
Hurghada Marina presents the modern and polished side of the city.
For evening planning after your city tour, see our Hurghada Marina at night guide.
The area includes yachts, restaurants, cafés, walking spaces, and views across the Red Sea. It is a popular photography stop and can help visitors understand where many boat activities begin.
During a marina visit, you may have time to:
Walk beside the yachts.
Take Red Sea photographs.
Explore the promenade.
View local tour boats.
Stop for a drink when time permits.
Identify restaurants for another evening.
Late-afternoon and evening visits can provide attractive light and a livelier atmosphere. Morning visits may feel quieter and can be practical when the city tour is focused more heavily on shopping.
The available time at the marina should be confirmed before booking, particularly when the program also includes several cultural and market stops.
Hurghada Old Town Tour
El Dahar is commonly described as Hurghada’s Old Town and offers a different atmosphere from the marina and hotel promenades.
For broader local planning, read our Hurghada travel tips before exploring busy local areas independently.
The area contains local shops, bakeries, fruit stands, cafés, pharmacies, and busy streets used by residents throughout the day.
A visit to El Dahar can help travelers see:
Everyday local life.
Traditional commercial streets.
Local fruit and vegetable markets.
Egyptian bakeries.
Small shops and cafés.
Different styles of urban Hurghada.
The Old Town can feel busier and less polished than resort areas. That contrast is part of the experience and gives visitors a broader view of the city.
Keep personal belongings secure, follow your guide through busy streets, and agree on the meeting point before spending free time in the market.
El Mina Mosque City Tour
El Mina Mosque is one of the most recognizable landmarks near Hurghada Marina.
Its large structure, minarets, domes, and waterfront setting make it an important photography and cultural stop during many city tours.
An interior visit may be possible when permitted, but access can depend on prayer times, religious occasions, clothing, and local arrangements.
Visitors should:
Cover shoulders and knees.
Remove shoes when entering.
Keep voices low.
Avoid interrupting worshippers.
Follow photography instructions.
Respect areas closed to visitors.
Women may be asked to use appropriate covering when entering. Suitable clothing may sometimes be provided, but travelers should prepare modest clothes in advance.
The purpose of the visit is cultural understanding rather than simply taking photographs.
Hurghada Church City Tour
Some Hurghada city itineraries include a Coptic church stop to introduce visitors to another part of the city’s religious and cultural life.
The church visit is normally short and should be completed respectfully. Opening conditions and interior access may depend on religious services or security arrangements.
Visitors should wear modest clothing, speak quietly, and follow the instructions provided at the entrance.
Including both mosque and church landmarks can create a more balanced cultural route and show that Hurghada is more than a purpose-built beach resort.
Confirm whether the church is included in your selected program because city tour routes can vary.
Hurghada Shopping City Tour
Shopping is often included in a Hurghada City Tour, but it should support the sightseeing experience rather than dominate the complete itinerary.
Typical shopping opportunities may include:
Souvenirs.
Egyptian cotton products.
Scarves and clothing.
Spices and hibiscus.
Perfume oils.
Handmade items.
Sweets and snacks.
Small local gifts.
Before buying, check the product carefully and compare the price with similar items. Bargaining may be expected in bazaars and souvenir shops, while supermarkets, pharmacies, and many modern stores usually use fixed prices.
Do not feel obligated to purchase something because the tour stopped at a shop. Shopping should remain optional.
Tell the guide at the beginning when you prefer:
More sightseeing and less shopping.
Specific products only.
Fixed-price stores.
Local markets.
No perfume or souvenir stops.
More marina time.
A clear request can help the route match your interests.
Hurghada Market Shopping Tips
Local markets can be enjoyable when you enter with a simple plan and a realistic spending limit.
Useful shopping practices include:
Decide what you need before arrival.
Ask for the price before handling several products.
Compare more than one shop.
Inspect the exact item being packed.
Pay in the agreed currency.
Keep small notes available.
Decline politely when uninterested.
Avoid accepting unclear free gifts.
Products described as Egyptian cotton, natural oils, or handmade items can vary considerably in quality. Avoid making a large purchase based only on a salesperson’s description.
For spices and dried products, inspect the packaging, smell, condition, and quantity. For clothing and textiles, check seams, labels, thickness, and size.
A local guide may help explain typical shopping customs, but the final purchase decision remains yours.
Private Hurghada City Tour
A private Hurghada City Tour is arranged around the travelers included in one reservation.
It may provide more flexibility than a shared group route, particularly when you want to focus on cultural landmarks, photography, local markets, or specific shopping requests.
A private city tour may suit:
Couples.
Families with children.
Senior travelers.
Small private groups.
Visitors with mobility needs.
Travelers avoiding crowded transport.
Guests who dislike forced shopping.
Photographers seeking more time.
Before booking, confirm whether both the vehicle and guide are private. Some services provide a private car with a driver but no dedicated licensed guide.
Also confirm whether you can remove unwanted shopping stops or adjust the time spent at the marina and Old Town.
Group Hurghada City Tour
A shared city tour can be a more affordable way to receive an introduction to Hurghada.
The route and timing are normally fixed, and travelers may need to wait while other guests shop, take photographs, or return to the vehicle.
A group tour may suit:
Solo travelers.
Couples with flexible schedules.
Budget-conscious visitors.
Guests seeking a quick city overview.
Travelers comfortable with shared transport.
Ask about the maximum group size, total duration, pickup process, and number of shopping stops before booking.
A city tour advertised at a very low price may focus heavily on commission-based shops. Check that the itinerary includes genuine sightseeing rather than transportation between stores only.
Hurghada City Tour Duration
Hurghada city-tour duration varies by the route, hotel location, traffic, shopping time, cultural-site access, and whether the program is private or shared. Because Hurghada Travels does not currently publish a fixed City Tour product page with one standard duration, confirm the planned pickup and return time on WhatsApp before booking.
The total duration may be affected by:
Hotel location.
Group pickup time.
Traffic.
Religious site access.
Market time.
Shopping duration.
Marina walking time.
Private itinerary changes.
A shorter tour may be enough for a general orientation, while a longer private program can provide more time for cultural explanations and local shopping.
Avoid scheduling another activity immediately after the estimated return time because traffic and group delays can affect the final arrival.
Hurghada City Tour Prices
Hurghada Travels does not currently publish one fixed City Tour product page with a standard price. To avoid using an outdated or package-mismatched figure, request the current quotation for your date and hotel directly on WhatsApp.
The final cost may depend on:
Group or private service.
Number of passengers.
Hotel location.
Program duration.
Vehicle type.
Guide service.
Selected attractions.
Additional resort transfers.
Before payment, confirm:
Whether the price is per person or vehicle.
Whether the guide is included.
Which sightseeing stops are included.
Whether shopping is optional.
Whether any entrance fees apply.
Whether hotel pickup is included.
Whether additional transfer fees apply.
The accepted currency.
The cancellation conditions.
The website does not currently display a separate city-tour booking page with one fixed program. Send your hotel, date, number of guests, and preferred language by WhatsApp to receive the current program and quotation.
Hurghada City Tour Inclusions
A basic city tour may include:
Hotel pickup and return.
Air-conditioned transportation.
Driver or local guide.
Marina visit.
Old Town visit.
Mosque or church stop.
Market and shopping time.
Photography opportunities.
Possible exclusions may include:
Personal shopping.
Food and drinks.
Attraction entrance fees.
Special guide services.
Additional hotel transfers.
Tips.
Optional extended stops.
Ask whether the service includes a professional guide or only a driver. A guide can offer cultural explanations and shopping support, while a driver-only service is mainly transportation.
Morning Hurghada City Tour
A morning city tour can suit travelers who want to complete their shopping and sightseeing before returning to the hotel for the afternoon.
Morning programs may provide:
Cooler winter walking conditions.
Quieter marina areas.
Practical market opening times.
More time for afternoon relaxation.
Easier family scheduling.
During summer, temperatures may rise quickly, so carry water, sunscreen, and a hat.
Confirm whether all cultural and shopping locations are open during the planned morning route.
Evening Hurghada City Tour
An evening city tour can provide a more atmospheric experience, particularly around Hurghada Marina and the main promenades.
This timing may suit travelers who prefer:
Cooler summer temperatures.
Marina lights.
Sunset photographs.
Evening cafés and restaurants.
A livelier city atmosphere.
A relaxed morning at the hotel.
Religious sites and traditional markets may have different evening access conditions, so the route can vary.
Choose the tour time according to whether sightseeing, cultural visits, shopping, or marina atmosphere is your main priority.
Family Hurghada City Tour
A city tour can be one of the easier Hurghada activities for families because it does not require swimming, long-distance road travel, or physically demanding sports.
Families should confirm:
Total tour duration.
Private or group transport.
Walking requirements.
Child seating arrangements.
Bathroom opportunities.
Shopping time.
Pickup and return hours.
Evening or morning schedule.
A private program can make it easier to take breaks, shorten market time, and spend longer in open areas such as the marina.
Bring water, snacks, sun protection, and simple entertainment for younger children during vehicle transfers.
Plan Hurghada Activities
A city tour introduces you to Hurghada’s marina, neighborhoods, markets, and cultural landmarks. You can then choose a different experience for another day without repeating the same type of activity.
Travelers who want to see the Red Sea from the marina can reserve an Orange Bay Hurghada snorkeling tour with island time, reef stops, lunch, and water activities.
Visitors looking to explore the Eastern Desert can choose a 3 Hours Quad Bike Tour Hurghada featuring an extended desert route, a Bedouin village visit, camel riding, and traditional tea.
For a longer desert program, the Super Safari Hurghada combines quad biking, a jeep safari, buggy riding, camel riding, dinner, and evening entertainment.
These programs allow you to experience the city, sea, and desert on separate days without overcrowding one itinerary.
Prepare for Hurghada City Tour
Wear lightweight and comfortable clothing suitable for walking and entering cultural locations.
Bring:
Comfortable shoes.
Modest clothing.
Sunglasses.
Sunscreen.
A small bottle of water.
A secure crossbody bag.
Small Egyptian Pound notes.
A power bank.
Your booking confirmation.
A light layer in cooler months.
You normally do not need to carry large amounts of cash. Set a shopping budget and keep your money secure.
Ask permission before photographing people, market sellers, or the interior of religious buildings.
Book Your Hurghada City Tour

Choose a group tour for a general overview or request a private route when you want greater flexibility and control over shopping stops.
To arrange the tour, contact Hurghada Travels on WhatsApp and send your travel date, number of guests, hotel name, preferred language, and main interests.

Cheap Hurghada Excursions allow you to explore the Red Sea, visit beautiful islands, experience the Eastern Desert, and discover Egypt’s historical attractions without choosing expensive private programs.
However, the cheapest advertised tour is not always the most affordable final option. A low starting price can become more expensive when hotel transfers, equipment, entrance tickets, meals, or essential activities are added later.
The better approach is to compare the complete package and choose an organized group excursion with clearly listed inclusions. Through affordable Hurghada tours and excursions, you can compare sea, desert, and cultural programs according to your available budget and holiday schedule.
Affordable Hurghada Excursions Explained
An affordable Hurghada excursion should provide a complete experience at a reasonable total price without reducing essential safety or organization.
Good-value tours usually combine several services, such as:
Hotel pickup and drop-off.
Shared transportation.
Professional guides.
Equipment for the main activity.
Meals and drinks when stated.
Entrance tickets when stated.
Safety instructions.
Several activities in one program.
Shared excursions are normally more affordable than private boats, cars, or guides because the operating cost is divided between several travelers.
This does not mean that every group tour offers the same quality. Before booking, check the boat or vehicle type, program duration, activity time, passenger number, and complete exclusions.
Cheap Hurghada Sea Excursions
Sea programs are among the best-value Cheap Hurghada Excursions because many include transportation, a complete boat day, snorkeling equipment, lunch, drinks, and several activities.
The official website currently offers several full-day Red Sea programs starting from €25 per person.
Paradise Island can be the better choice for travelers who want a more active sea day with snorkeling and inflatable water games.
Compare the island time and complete daily schedule before deciding between Paradise Island and Orange Bay.
Affordable Dolphin House Excursion
The Dolphin House snorkeling trip currently starts from €25 and offers one of the most complete marine packages available at this price level.
The official program includes:
A seven-hour boat experience.
Dolphin searching.
Three snorkeling stops.
Snorkeling equipment.
Life jackets.
A professional snorkeling guide.
Buffet lunch.
Soft drinks and water.
Banana and sofa rides.
Hurghada hotel transfers.
Dolphins live freely in the Red Sea, so sightings cannot be guaranteed. The tour should be selected for the complete snorkeling experience rather than only for the possibility of seeing dolphins.
Cheap Hurghada Desert Excursions
Desert programs are another affordable way to add variety to a Red Sea holiday.
A shared safari can combine transportation, quad biking, Bedouin activities, camel riding, and evening entertainment for less than booking every activity separately.
The program currently starts from €25 and includes:
Hotel pickup from Hurghada.
A 60-kilometre quad route.
A safety briefing.
Helmet use.
A professional desert guide.
A Bedouin village visit.
A short camel ride.
Traditional tea.
A sunset option with the afternoon departure.
Choose the dedicated quad program when driving is your main priority. Choose Super Safari when you want a wider mix of activities, dinner, and entertainment.
Affordable Hurghada Combo Excursions
Combination tours can reduce the need to reserve two separate programs.
This package may suit travelers with limited holiday time who want both a marine and desert experience within one organized day.
Compare the program duration and your energy level before booking. Combination trips provide more activities, but they can also create a busier schedule.
Cheap Hurghada History Excursions
Shared bus tours provide the most affordable way to visit Egypt’s major historical destinations from Hurghada.
These excursions involve long travel times, but they include organized transportation and professional guidance at a lower price than private cars or domestic flights.
Drinks, Tutankhamun’s tomb, and the optional Nile motorboat are not included.
Luxor can provide excellent cultural value because several major archaeological attractions are included within one organized day.
Cheap Group Hurghada Excursions
Group programs are usually the most economical option for solo travelers, couples, and small families.
A shared tour reduces the individual cost of:
Transportation.
Boat operation.
Fuel.
Guides.
Drivers.
Meals.
Equipment.
Entrance arrangements.
A group excursion can be a good choice when you are comfortable with:
Fixed pickup times.
Shared vehicles.
A planned route.
Waiting briefly for other travelers.
Following the guide’s schedule.
Ask about the expected group size before reserving. A slightly more expensive boat with fewer passengers may offer better value than the cheapest overcrowded program.
Cheap Private Hurghada Options
Private excursions do not normally fit a low individual budget, but they can become cost-effective when the price is shared by a family or group.
A private boat or vehicle may provide:
Greater privacy.
Flexible timing.
More control over stops.
Faster movement.
Fewer passengers.
A program arranged around your group.
Before choosing private travel, compare the complete boat or vehicle price with the total cost of individual shared tickets for your party.
Confirm the maximum capacity, fuel, equipment, guide, entrance fees, and transfer arrangements before deciding that a private package offers better value.
Hurghada Excursion Transfer Costs
Hotel location can affect the final cost of Cheap Hurghada Excursions.
Many official programs include pickup and drop-off from hotels in Hurghada. The current pages commonly list additional round-trip charges of:
Makadi Bay and Sahl Hasheesh: €5 per person.
El Gouna, Soma Bay, and Safaga: €10 per person.
Transfer conditions can differ between programs, so provide the complete hotel name before payment.
Do not describe your accommodation only as “Hurghada” when it is located in a surrounding resort area. Accurate hotel information prevents confusion during pickup and final payment.
Cheap Hurghada Excursion Inclusions
The best way to compare affordable excursions is to calculate the complete experience rather than the first price shown.
Before booking a sea trip, confirm:
Hotel transportation.
Island entrance.
Snorkeling equipment.
Life jackets.
Number of reef stops.
Lunch and drinks.
Water sports.
Taxes and service charges.
Before booking a safari, confirm:
Quad riding time.
Jeep or buggy activities.
Camel riding.
Dinner and drinks.
Entertainment.
Scarf and goggles.
Hotel transfer supplements.
Before booking Cairo or Luxor, confirm:
Attraction tickets.
Guide service.
Lunch.
Optional activities.
Drinks.
Additional admission tickets.
Pickup and return location.
A clear package may offer better value even when its displayed price is slightly higher.
Avoid Cheap Excursion Extras
Optional extras are not always dishonest, but they must be clearly explained.
Common additional costs may include:
Photographs and videos.
Scarves and goggles.
Resort transfer supplements.
Optional Nile boat rides.
Special tomb tickets.
Drinks during cultural tours.
Personal shopping.
Tips.
Private upgrades.
Decide which extras matter before departure. You do not need to purchase photographs, souvenirs, optional rides, or upgrades simply because they are offered during the program.
Agree on the price before accepting any optional activity.
Cheap Family Hurghada Excursions
Families should select affordable programs according to their children’s ages and energy levels rather than choosing the lowest ticket alone.
Orange Bay can suit families wanting shallow island water and beach time. Paradise Island provides additional sea games, while Dolphin House offers more snorkeling.
Super Safari can appeal to families with older children and teenagers, but parents should confirm driving and passenger conditions.
Before booking, check:
Child age categories.
Infant conditions.
Life jacket sizes.
Meal arrangements.
Program duration.
Swimming requirements.
Pickup time.
Return time.
Transfer supplements.
A tour that suits your children can provide better value than a cheaper program they cannot fully enjoy.
Plan Affordable Hurghada Tours
A budget-friendly holiday does not require booking an excursion every day.
Choose programs that provide different experiences instead of repeating similar activities.
A balanced plan may include:
One Red Sea excursion.
One desert experience.
One cultural journey when the budget permits.
Free hotel and beach days.
Select Orange Bay, Paradise Island, or Dolphin House for the sea day rather than booking all three unless snorkeling is your main holiday interest.
Choose either the quad tour or Super Safari according to whether you prefer extended riding or a complete dinner-and-show experience.
This approach controls spending while still showing you the sea, desert, and cultural side of Egypt.
Book Cheap Hurghada Excursions
Book Cheap Hurghada Excursions by comparing the complete inclusions rather than choosing the lowest headline price.
Official shared tours currently provide full-day snorkeling, island experiences, and complete desert safaris from €25. Cultural bus trips cost more but combine transportation, guiding, entrance tickets, and several major attractions in one program.
Select the experiences that best match your interests, confirm your hotel transfer area, and review every included and excluded service before payment.
Reserve your preferred dates early during busy travel periods and keep written confirmation of the tour, passenger number, pickup details, final total, and cancellation conditions.
Several official shared programs currently start from €25, including Orange Bay, Paradise Island, Dolphin House, Super Safari, and the three-hour quad bike tour.
Which cheap sea excursion offers good value?
Orange Bay, Paradise Island, and Dolphin House all include several activities. The best choice depends on whether you prefer island relaxation, sea games, or more snorkeling stops.
Which cheap desert excursion should I choose?
Choose the three-hour quad tour for extended riding. Choose Super Safari for quad biking, a Jeep journey, a buggy, dinner, and evening shows.
Are hotel transfers included?
Pickup from Hurghada hotels is included in many programs. Additional fees commonly apply to surrounding resort areas.
Why do cheap tours have extra costs?
Some extras are optional or depend on hotel location. Examples include photos, scarves, goggles, special tickets, drinks, and additional transfers.
Are group excursions cheaper than private tours?
Yes. Shared boats, buses, and vehicles normally provide the lowest per-person price because the operating costs are divided between several travelers.
Is Orange Bay or Paradise Island cheaper?
Both official programs currently start from €25. Compare the included activities and island experience rather than using the starting price alone.
How much is Dolphin House Hurghada?
The official shared Dolphin House program currently starts from €25 and includes three snorkeling stops, equipment, lunch, drinks, water sports, and Hurghada hotel transfers.
How much is Super Safari Hurghada?
The official Super Safari program currently starts from €25, excluding optional scarves, goggles, photographs, personal expenses, tips, and selected resort transfers.
What is the cheapest way to visit Cairo?
The shared Cairo bus excursion is the lower-cost organized option compared with private transport or flying. The official program currently starts from €60.
What is the cheapest way to visit Luxor?
A shared bus excursion provides a lower price than a private vehicle. The official Luxor program currently starts from €65 per adult.
How can I avoid overpaying?
Confirm all inclusions, exclusions, transfer fees, optional activities, child conditions, and the final total in writing before booking.
Parasailing Hurghada is a boat-towed flight above the Red Sea, with takeoff and landing planned from the boat platform. The listed standalone program costs €25 for guests aged 11+, with approximately 10–15 minutes in the air within an activity of around 1.5 hours. Hotel pickup, preparation and boat time are different from flight time.
This guide compares the standalone experience with the two published combinations, explains the current child fares and transfers, and helps you confirm participation before paying. No previous parasailing experience is required by the listing, but the crew still assesses the person, equipment and operating conditions. A booking does not guarantee a solo flight, a tandem arrangement or operation in unsuitable weather.
Some visitors call this “parachute Hurghada.” Here that means parasailing towed by a boat, not skydiving from an aircraft. Adding an island visit or another activity requires a specifically confirmed program; an Orange Bay booking does not automatically include a flight.
1. Compare the current Parasailing Hurghada prices
The following fares and durations were checked against the actual product pages on 27 September 2026. Prices are per guest for these programs, and transfer supplements or separately agreed optional purchases are additional where applicable. A child fare is a price category, not approval to fly or drive a quad.
Standalone parasailing
€25 ages 11+; €15 ages 4–10; ages 0–3 free fare. Allow approximately 1.5 hours for the activity, with approximately 10–15 minutes in the air. Confirm the whole pickup-to-return schedule for your hotel. View the standalone program.
Panorama semi-submarine and parasailing
€50 ages 11+; €25 ages 4–10; ages 0–3 free fare. Allow approximately four hours for the complete combination, including local transfers and coordination. It combines underwater viewing, a diver show, optional snorkeling and the parasailing flight. View the Panorama combination.
Parasailing and three-hour safari
€50 ages 11+; €15 ages 4–10; ages 0–3 free fare. Allow approximately five hours for the combination. The safari component is approximately three hours including stops, not three hours of continuous driving. View the sea-and-desert program.
The two €50 combinations have different child fares and different activities. Do not copy the child rate from one product into the other. For a detailed cost comparison, use the parasailing price and timing guide and confirm the current written total before payment.
Company-album parasailing photograph. The crew confirms the equipment and flight arrangement for each departure.
A family example using the published base fares
For two adults and one eight-year-old, the standalone base fares add up to €25 + €25 + €15 = €65. The Panorama combination totals €50 + €50 + €25 = €125. The safari combination totals €50 + €50 + €15 = €115. These examples exclude any transfer supplement or separately chosen extra.
The example compares ticket categories only. It does not approve the eight-year-old for a flight, establish a tandem arrangement or permit quad driving. Tell the team who wants to take part in each activity and ask what arrangements are available before using a price comparison to select the larger package. If someone plans to observe, request the correct quote rather than deducting a flight price yourself.
2. Separate pickup, boat time and the actual flight
Parasailing flight behind the towing boat. The complete activity is longer than the approximately 10–15 minutes spent in the air.
Hotel collection and arrival
Provide the complete hotel name and a reachable contact number. Your collection time is confirmed after the location and operating schedule are checked. This guide does not promise a fixed 10 a.m.–6 p.m. pickup window or a departure whenever you arrive.
Keep the collection message available and check the meeting point with the booking team. If your resort has several entrances or similarly named properties, resolve the location beforehand. The approximate activity duration should not be treated as a guaranteed hotel return deadline.
Briefing and equipment fitting
At the boat, the crew explains the operating sequence and fits the harness and life jacket. Listen to the instructions for sitting, moving around the deck, takeoff, landing and personal belongings. Tell the crew if an item is uncomfortable or if you do not understand the briefing.
No previous parasailing experience does not mean no preparation is needed. Do not handle or adjust the tow system yourself. Participation and the flight arrangement remain subject to the crew’s checks on the actual boat.
The flight and return
The listed flight is approximately 10–15 minutes, subject to operating and weather conditions. Takeoff and landing are planned from the boat platform. This is not a promise of a particular height, sensation, perfectly dry clothing or a requested dip into the water.
After landing, follow the crew’s instructions before moving away from the activity area. Return timing depends on the program and coordination. If you have another fixed commitment, discuss it before choosing the departure rather than assuming the advertised duration leaves a narrow connection possible.
3. Choose the program for the activities you actually want
Standalone flight
Choose the standalone Parasailing Hurghada program when the aerial experience is the main reason for booking and you prefer a shorter outing. It includes the parasailing boat, approximately 10–15 minute flight, harness, life jacket, crew and Hurghada transfer. Extra water games and professional photographs are not part of that standard inclusion.
A two-person booking does not establish a tandem flight. Tell the team if flying together matters to you, and discuss what options apply if the crew cannot approve that arrangement. Do not purchase a larger package merely to obtain a flight configuration that remains subject to conditions.
Underwater viewing plus parasailing
The Panorama combination adds the semi-submarine program, underwater viewing cabin, diver show and a snorkeling stop with equipment. The vessel stays at the surface while its viewing cabin is below the waterline. Snorkeling is optional; enjoying the cabin is separate from eligibility for the parasailing flight.
Ask about boarding and cabin stairs if anyone has mobility or balance difficulties. If one companion wants to watch without flying, confirm the specific arrangement and price before booking. The package description is not a promise of a free observer place or individual supervision.
Parasailing plus the desert safari
The safari combination adds the approximately 60KM quad route, Bedouin village visit, short camel ride and tea. The listed three-hour safari includes its briefing and stops. A helmet is included, while a scarf and protective goggles are not; bring those and wear closed shoes.
Guests aged 10+ may drive only with guide approval, while younger children ride with an accompanying adult under the operating arrangements. A ten-year-old remains in the 4–10 child fare category. Flight participation and quad-driving approval are separate decisions, so check both before choosing this longer program.
Our water-sports package comparison supports this choice. Book the combination whose actual activities you want, rather than assuming that every package includes banana rides, island admission or a meal.
The Panorama combination adds cabin viewing. Confirm access requirements as well as flight participation.
4. Confirm solo, tandem and family participation
Tandem parasailing. Flying together depends on combined weight, wind, equipment and the crew’s safety decision.
Single or tandem flying depends on combined weight, wind, sea conditions, equipment and the crew’s assessment. The product page does not publish a universal weight limit that can be applied to every guest and departure. Provide accurate information when asked and obtain the applicable requirements for your booking.
Do not infer that a lighter person must automatically fly with another guest, or that two adults will always fly separately. The crew decides the suitable arrangement. Photographs of previous flights show an experience, not approval for the people in your group.
For children, give each age and explain any concern about equipment fit or confidence. The published 0–3 free fare does not mean an infant can parasail, and purchasing a child ticket does not guarantee a flight. Confirm who is traveling, who wants to participate and the supervision arrangements.
The boat-platform launch means the planned activity is different from a snorkeling session, but it does not establish automatic suitability for every non-swimmer. Tell the team about swimming ability, health concerns and difficulty boarding or following instructions before payment. Ask a qualified healthcare professional when you need individual medical advice.
Use the participation guide for questions to raise before booking. Neither this article nor a photograph can provide medical clearance, assess harness fit remotely or promise a particular feeling during the flight.
5. Confirm transfers and optional extras in the total
For the three listed programs, Hurghada hotel pickup and drop-off are included. Makadi Bay and Sahl Hasheesh add €5 per person; Soma Bay, Safaga and El Gouna add €10 per person. Provide the exact hotel and confirm how supplements apply to every member of your group.
For example, two guests aged 11+ taking standalone parasailing from Makadi Bay have a published fare-and-transfer calculation of €25 + €25 + €5 + €5 = €60, before any separately chosen extras. The same two guests on the Panorama combination have €50 + €50 + €5 + €5 = €110. Confirm the final total for your date rather than applying an adult example to a family without checking ages.
Professional photos or videos, unlisted water games and personal purchases are separate unless your booking explicitly includes them. Ask the price and delivery terms before agreeing to a photo package. Do not assume a photograph on the product page makes professional photography part of the ticket.
Included hotel transport does not itself promise a private vehicle or a private parasailing boat. Ask if exclusivity is important to you. The €150 private speedboat excursion is a different product and does not automatically include parasailing.

6. Understand weather changes and cancellation terms
Parasailing operates only when the crew considers wind and sea conditions suitable.
Parasailing Hurghada depends on the operating conditions, so a confirmed time can be delayed, changed or cancelled. A sunny forecast, a summer date or a morning booking is not a guarantee of suitable wind and sea conditions. Follow the crew’s decision and ask how you will receive an operational update.
Under the current product terms, cancellation received at least 24 hours before the confirmed start qualifies for a full refund. Later cancellation and no-show are non-refundable. Deadlines use local Egypt time.
A date-change request at least 24 hours ahead has no change fee, subject to availability, any price difference and confirmation. If the company cancels, including for unsafe weather, you may choose an available alternative date or a full refund. Any non-refundable ticket or committed-cost exception must be disclosed before payment and included in the confirmation.
For a combination, ask specifically what applies if only one component is affected or has already taken place. Do not assume a partial-cancellation calculation that is not stated in the booking. Read the full cancellation and date-change policy and the parasailing postponement guide.
7. Keep the written booking practical and complete
Ready to check your Parasailing date?Ask Hurghada Travels on WhatsApp with your hotel, date and every traveler’s age so participation, pickup and the final total can be confirmed.
Send your date, hotel, guest count, children’s ages and chosen product. State whether anyone wants tandem participation, prefers to observe or needs help with access. Ask the team to confirm the program, pickup, approximate return, fare categories, supplements, extras and applicable participation requirements.
Wear appropriate comfortable clothing and secure loose belongings as the crew directs. Bring sun protection and a towel or swimwear if needed for the activities you choose. For the safari combination, add closed shoes, a scarf and protective goggles; for the Panorama snorkeling option, confirm personal swimming items and equipment fit.
Ask before taking a camera into the harness or assuming a phone pouch is acceptable during flight. Follow the crew’s equipment and belongings instructions rather than attaching items to the parasailing system yourself. See the boat-trip packing checklist for the wider day.
Keep a copy of the confirmation and contact details available. If a required arrangement remains unclear, resolve it before payment. Comparing the actual program is more useful than accepting promises of “suitable for all,” a guaranteed tandem flight or an unconfirmed island-and-parasailing combination.
Which is your cheapest option if I only want to parasail?
Choose the standalone program at €25 per guest aged 11+ and €15 per child aged 4–10, before applicable extras. The Panorama and safari combinations cost €50 per adult because they add another activity; their child fares differ. A tandem request does not create a discount. Check participation and your full hotel-to-hotel schedule before selecting a program.
How do I book parasailing or a combination without a deposit?
Use the selected trip’s booking page or contact our team with your date, full hotel name, all travelers and children’s ages. Confirm availability, participation requirements, pickup and the total including any hotel supplement. No advance deposit is required. Pay cash in euros to our representative on the trip day, at pickup before the excursion begins.
How much does standalone parasailing cost?
The listed fare is €25 for ages 11+, €15 for ages 4–10 inclusive and a free fare for ages 0–3. Participation requirements are separate. For standalone parasailing, two adults total €50, two adults with one child aged 4–10 total €65, or €80 with two children aged 4–10. Confirm transfers and any optional extras in the written total.
Is the flight 1.5 hours long?
No. The flight is approximately 10–15 minutes. The standalone activity is around 1.5 hours; confirm the full hotel pickup-to-return schedule for your location.
Is parachute Hurghada the same as skydiving?
In this guide, parachute Hurghada means boat-towed parasailing with planned platform takeoff and landing. It is not an aircraft skydiving experience.
Can two guests fly together?
Tandem flying is subject to combined weight, wind, sea conditions and the crew’s equipment and participation assessment. A booking for two does not guarantee flying together.
Can a child fly because the child fare is available?
No. Fare categories do not establish flight eligibility. Give every child’s age and confirm fit, participation and supervision before booking. A free infant fare is not permission to fly.
Is there a fixed weight limit in this guide?
No. The product does not publish a universal limit for every arrangement. Provide the details the team requests and follow the applicable requirements and crew decision.
How much is Panorama with parasailing?
The listed combination is €50 for ages 11+ and €25 for ages 4–10, with a free fare for ages 0–3. Allow approximately four hours and confirm the complete schedule and eligibility.
Does the safari combination have the same child fare?
No. Its listed child fare is €15 for ages 4–10, while ages 11+ pay €50. The Panorama combination has a €25 child fare. Quad and flight participation are assessed separately.
Are banana rides or professional photos included?
They are not included in the standalone parasailing program unless explicitly added to your booking. Confirm any optional purchase and its price before agreeing.
Does Orange Bay automatically include parasailing?
No. An island trip and a parasailing flight are different products. Ask for a specifically confirmed combined arrangement rather than assuming one activity includes the other.
Can a non-swimmer automatically participate?
Do not assume automatic suitability. The planned takeoff and landing are from the boat platform, but tell the team about swimming ability and any other concern so it can confirm the applicable requirements.
What if weather prevents flying?
Follow the operator’s decision. Under the current terms, a company cancellation allows an available alternative date or a full refund. Ask for the specific terms when only one part of a combination is affected.
Can someone come only to watch?
Ask whether an observer place is available, its price and where the person can remain. Do not assume a free seat or supervision is included because other members of the group are flying.
Is a private vehicle included?
Hurghada transfer is included, but that wording does not establish an exclusive vehicle or private boat. Ask for any private arrangement and its complete cost before booking.

Discover the Best Snorkeling in Hurghada through organized Red Sea trips combining colorful coral reefs, tropical fish, clear water, professional guidance, and comfortable boat services.
Snorkeling in Hurghada offers different experiences for every travel style. You can combine reef stops with a relaxing island visit, choose a marine-life tour with the possibility of seeing wild dolphins, or reserve a private speedboat for greater flexibility and privacy.
The best choice is not always the trip with the longest list of activities. It is the program that matches your swimming ability, preferred group size, available time, and interest in islands, coral reefs, or marine life.
Start with the kind of day you want. These are base excursion prices from the linked Hurghada Travels tour pages, checked on 27 September 2026, not a promise that every hotel transfer or optional activity is included.
Orange Bay — beach time and two reef stops
Adult €25; ages 4–10 €15; ages 0–3 free. Full-day island and boat program with lunch and drinks. Best when you want snorkeling in Hurghada alongside a beach break, rather than a whole day focused on swimming.
Adult €25; ages 4–10 €15; ages 0–3 free. Two planned reef stops, island time, lunch and drinks. Compare the actual island stop and schedule with Orange Bay; water activities on either tour depend on safe conditions.
Adult €25; ages 4–10 €15; ages 0–3 free. Approximately eight hours for the boat day, with lunch and drinks. Choose this for a reef-focused day and a possible wild dolphin sighting, not a guaranteed animal encounter.
A fixed €150 for the whole boat for one to six guests; approximately four hours. Children count toward the six-guest capacity. Fruit and drinks are included, not a full lunch. Orange Bay is optional at €10 per visiting guest; outside-Hurghada transfers require confirmation.
€30 for ages 11+; €15 for ages 4–10; ages 0–3 travel free. This approximately eight-hour program combines Orange Bay, snorkeling and one introductory scuba dive for eligible participants. Diving and snorkeling equipment, professional diving supervision, lunch, drinks and Hurghada hotel transfers are included.
A child fare is not approval to dive. Age, medical screening, equipment and the diving professional’s assessment determine participation; dive time and depth are not guaranteed here. Choose the regular island trip when you want snorkeling only. Compare the actual Orange Bay and diving program.
Before paying: send your exact hotel and every child’s age. The final amount includes any applicable resort transfer or selected extra; a free infant excursion fare does not by itself confirm free transport.
Snorkeling in Hurghada: Choosing the Right Trip
The main options for snorkeling in Hurghada include island trips, reef-focused excursions, dolphin-searching tours, and private speedboat programs.
Choose a reef stop that matches your swimming ability and the day’s conditions.
Each experience provides a different balance between snorkeling and relaxation.
Choose an island tour when you want:
Coral reef snorkeling.
Sandy beach time.
Shallow turquoise water.
Lunch and drinks.
Water sports.
A complete full-day program.
Choose Dolphin House when you want:
More snorkeling stops.
A marine-life-focused experience.
The possibility of observing wild dolphins.
Reef exploration.
Water games.
Choose a private speedboat when you want:
Fewer passengers.
A shorter program.
Faster travel.
Greater privacy.
Discussing the pace within the confirmed program.
Comparing these options before booking helps you avoid choosing a program that provides too much beach time when you mainly want snorkeling, or too much swimming when your priority is island relaxation.
Orange Bay: Snorkeling and Island Time
Beach seating and turquoise water from the company media library. Orange Bay combines a beach stop with reef snorkeling during the boat day.
The official full-day program currently starts from €25 and includes two coral reef snorkeling stops followed by time on Orange Bay.
The package includes:
A shared full-day boat trip; any VIP upgrade must be specified in the booking.
Two snorkeling locations.
Snorkeling equipment.
Life jackets.
Orange Bay entrance.
Approximately 2 hours on the island, subject to the sailing schedule and sea conditions.
Lunch on board.
Soft drinks.
Water sports when included.
Hurghada hotel transportation.
Orange Bay is suitable for travelers who want snorkeling without spending the entire day in the water. The island’s shallow turquoise areas provide time for swimming, photographs, and beach relaxation between the boat activities.
It is particularly suitable for couples, families, mixed groups, and beginners looking for a complete first Red Sea trip.
Paradise Island Snorkeling
The Paradise Island snorkeling trip currently starts from €25 and combines reef stops with island beach time. Compare the exact itinerary rather than assuming it offers more water activities than Orange Bay.
The official package includes:
Two snorkeling stops.
Snorkeling equipment.
Life jackets.
Paradise Island access.
Approximately 2 hours on the island, subject to the sailing schedule and sea conditions.
Banana boat riding.
Sofa boat riding.
Lunch on board.
Soft drinks.
Hotel pickup and return.
Paradise Island can be a strong choice for groups and families who want snorkeling plus sea games.
Both island tours can include water activities when conditions allow; their availability is not guaranteed by the island name. Check the beach stop, transfer, included meal and timing in the current program. Our Orange Bay and Paradise Island comparison helps you choose without booking two very similar days.
Both programs offer a practical balance between reef stops and beach relaxation.
Dolphin House Snorkeling
The Dolphin House snorkeling trip is suitable for travelers who want more time exploring reefs and the opportunity to observe dolphins in a natural Red Sea environment.
Wild dolphins are unpredictable; sightings and swimming encounters are not guaranteed.
The current Dolphin House program is approximately 8 hours, with hotel pickup and return timing confirmed for your location. The adult base fare is €25 and the planned program includes:
Dolphin searching.
Three snorkeling stops.
Professional snorkeling guidance.
Snorkeling equipment.
Life jackets.
Lunch on board.
Soft drinks and water listed in the program.
Banana boat riding.
Sofa boat riding.
Hurghada hotel transfers.
The three reef stops make Dolphin House one of the strongest choices for travelers whose main priority is snorkeling rather than island beach time.
Dolphins are wild animals, so sightings or swimming encounters cannot be guaranteed. Choose this tour for its complete marine experience and treat any dolphin sighting as a natural bonus.
Responsible travelers should follow the guide, avoid chasing dolphins, and maintain a respectful distance from all marine animals.
Private Speedboat Snorkeling in Hurghada
Private boat example from the tour library. Confirm the allocated vessel and its facilities.
The current private speedboat costs €150 for the whole boat for up to 6 guests, including children, with approximately 4 hours on the boat. Confirm the separate hotel transfer timing before booking; this is not a per-person price.
The package includes:
A private speedboat.
A professional captain.
Dolphin searching.
A coral reef stop.
Snorkeling equipment.
Life jackets.
Optional Orange Bay visit at +€10 per visiting guest, agreed before booking.
Water and soft drinks.
Seasonal fruit.
An onboard freshwater shower.
A toilet.
This is a fixed four-hour private program, not an unlimited route. Compare its €150 whole-boat price for one to six guests with the complete shared-trip cost for the same travelers. See the main private boat guide for the confirmed facilities and route questions.
This option is ideal for:
Families wanting a shorter schedule.
Couples seeking privacy.
Small groups.
Honeymoon travelers.
Guests who dislike crowded boats.
Visitors wanting flexible swimming time.
The itinerary remains subject to weather, safety requirements, and the captain’s final route decision.
Snorkeling in Hurghada for Beginners and Non-Swimmers
Tell the crew your swimming ability before booking and again before entering the water.
Joining a boat trip and being able to snorkel in open water are different decisions. Non-swimmers may enjoy the boat or island without snorkeling. A life jacket does not replace swimming ability, suitable conditions or the crew’s assessment. Do not enter the water under pressure; a semi-submarine viewing trip offers an alternative without swimming.
Hurghada offers several programs suitable for first-time snorkelers.
Orange Bay and Paradise combine reef stops with island time, allowing a group to discuss activities both in and out of the water. Shallow beach water does not establish that a separate boat reef stop is shallow or suitable for every beginner. Confirm the available support and the crew’s assessment.
Before entering the water:
Tell the guide you are a beginner.
Check that the mask fits correctly.
Use a life jacket.
Stay close to the guide.
Avoid deep areas when uncomfortable.
Enter the water calmly.
Practice breathing near the boat.
Return when you feel tired.
Do not hide your swimming ability because you feel embarrassed. Guides can offer better support when they understand your confidence level.
Flotation equipment must fit and be used as instructed. It does not replace swimming ability, suitable conditions or supervision.
Snorkeling in Hurghada with Children
Families should choose a snorkeling trip according to the ages, swimming abilities, and attention levels of their children.
Orange Bay may suit younger families because it provides island beach time and shallow water. Paradise Island can appeal to older children who want banana and sofa rides.
A private speedboat can be useful for families who need:
A shorter excursion.
Greater privacy.
More flexible rest time.
An agreed program within the captain’s operating decisions.
Fewer passengers.
Easier supervision.
Before booking, confirm:
Child prices.
Minimum ages.
Life jacket sizes.
Total trip duration.
Island time.
Meal arrangements.
Toilet availability.
Transfer conditions.
Parents must supervise children even when guides and boat crew are present.
Children should never stand on coral or enter deep water without appropriate flotation equipment and adult supervision.
Best Snorkeling for Couples
Couples planning snorkeling in Hurghada can choose between a full island day and a shorter private journey.
Orange Bay offers scenic island views, shallow turquoise water, and several photography locations. Paradise Island also combines reef snorkeling and island time; compare its current program with Orange Bay rather than assuming a different activity level.
A private speedboat provides:
Greater privacy.
Route preferences discussed before booking.
Faster travel.
A quieter atmosphere.
More personal photographs.
A shorter overall schedule.
Couples planning honeymoons or anniversaries may prefer the private option, while those seeking a social and affordable full-day experience can choose an island trip.
The best selection depends on whether your priority is privacy, activity, snorkeling time, or beach relaxation.
Snorkeling in Hurghada: Prices and Extra Costs
The current official starting prices are:
Orange Bay snorkeling: from €25 per person.
Paradise Island snorkeling: from €25 per person.
Dolphin House snorkeling: from €25 per person.
Private speedboat snorkeling: €150 per boat for up to 6 guests, including children; approximately 4 hours.
The final amount may depend on:
Travel date.
Adult and child numbers.
Hotel location.
Selected package.
Private or shared service.
Additional resort transfers.
Optional activities.
Do not compare only the displayed starting prices. Orange Bay, Paradise Island, and Dolphin House are priced per person, while the private speedboat price applies to the entire boat.
Compare the complete service, number of stops, island access, activity duration, meals, equipment, and transportation before choosing.
Compare the final cost and any advertised upgrade
For two adults on the €25 shared Orange Bay trip from Soma Bay, the published base tour and transfer amounts total €70: €50 for the excursion plus €20 for two transfers. Optional purchases are separate. Confirm how each child or infant is charged before calculating a family total; do not apply shared-tour transfer rates automatically to the private speedboat.
If an offer says VIP, ask what changes: the vessel, passenger count, transfer, meal or activity time. The label alone does not establish a smaller group or additional inclusions. Keep the final program and total in writing.
A well-organized snorkeling tour should clearly state its inclusions before payment.
Common official inclusions include:
Hotel pickup and drop-off.
Boat transportation.
Snorkeling equipment.
Life jackets.
Professional crew.
Guided snorkeling.
Lunch.
Soft drinks and water.
Island entrance when applicable.
Water sports when listed.
Possible exclusions include:
Professional photographs.
Personal purchases.
Additional hotel transfer fees.
Towels.
Special equipment.
Optional activities.
Tips.
Save your confirmation showing the tour name, date, number of guests, final price, and included services.
Do not assume that an island entrance or water activity is included unless it appears clearly in the selected package.
Hurghada Snorkeling Transfers
For snorkeling in Hurghada, pickup from city hotels is included in the main official programs.
Current pages commonly list these additional round-trip charges:
Makadi Bay and Sahl Hasheesh: €5 per person.
El Gouna, Soma Bay, and Safaga: €10 per person.
The private speedboat may have different transportation arrangements, so confirm the complete package before payment.
Always provide the full hotel name. Giving only the resort area can create confusion when several hotels have similar names or different entrances.
The exact pickup time is normally confirmed according to the hotel location and boat departure.
Best Time for Snorkeling in Hurghada
Snorkeling tours operate throughout the year, but wind, air temperature, and sea conditions can affect comfort and route selection.
Spring and autumn often offer a balanced experience with warm weather and comfortable outdoor conditions.
Summer provides warmer sea temperatures, but travelers must prepare for stronger sunshine and heat. Drink water regularly, apply sunscreen, and take breaks in the shade.
Winter snorkeling remains possible, although the wind and cooler air can make the boat journey and the time after leaving the water feel colder.
Bring a light jacket or dry layer during winter months.
Daily conditions are more important than choosing one specific month. Professional captains may change the snorkeling location, route, or schedule to use a more sheltered reef.
Snorkeling in Hurghada: Safety and Reef Care
Look without touching, feeding fish or standing on the reef.
Safety and guide quality are more important than selecting the lowest price.
Before snorkeling:
Attend the safety briefing.
Check your equipment.
Wear a life jacket when needed.
Follow the guide.
Stay within the designated area.
Use the buddy system.
Avoid swimming alone.
Return to the boat on time.
Report discomfort immediately.
Do not stand on coral reefs. Coral formations are living structures that can be damaged by contact with feet or fins.
Never feed fish or chase dolphins, rays, turtles, or other marine life. Responsible snorkeling protects the environment and creates a safer experience.
When the crew changes the route because of wind or sea conditions, follow the updated plan rather than insisting on one advertised reef.
Group or Private Snorkeling
Group snorkeling trips provide a lower per-person price and a complete full-day schedule.
Choose a group tour when you want:
An affordable ticket.
A full boat day.
Lunch and drinks.
Island access.
Several activities.
A social atmosphere.
Choose private snorkeling when you want:
Fewer passengers.
A shorter program.
Greater flexibility.
More privacy.
Faster travel.
More control over rest time.
A shared island trip offers excellent value for couples and individual travelers. A private speedboat can provide better value for a larger family or group splitting the total cost.
The most expensive option is not automatically the best. Choose according to your party size and preferred experience.
Prepare for Hurghada Snorkeling
For snorkeling in Hurghada, pack practical items suitable for sun, water, and boat travel.
Pack:
Swimwear.
A beach towel.
Sunscreen.
Sunglasses.
A sun hat.
A waterproof phone case.
Dry clothing.
Personal medication.
Any seasickness preparation recommended to you by a qualified pharmacist or clinician.
A secure small bag.
A light jacket in winter.
Apply sunscreen before departure and reapply it during the day. The boat breeze can make the sun feel weaker than it is.
Travelers who are particular about fit may prefer bringing their own snorkeling mask. However, equipment is provided on the main official programs.
Protect phones, money, and important belongings from water and avoid bringing unnecessary valuables.
Snorkeling in Hurghada or dry underwater viewing?
A semi-submarine is a different choice from a reef-focused snorkeling boat. The Panorama program stays at the surface while passengers look through windows in its underwater cabin. Its approximate three-hour experience includes a diver show, one optional snorkeling stop, equipment, a drink and Hurghada hotel transfer. Lunch and an island visit are not listed in the base program.
Consider it when your priority is seeing below the surface while remaining aboard. Confirm boarding and cabin access before booking; a viewing cabin does not establish step-free access or suitability for every child. Read the semi-submarine planning guide for the current fares, access questions and combination trips. Choose a shared island day or Dolphin House instead when the reef stops and longer boat day are your main reason for booking.
Check special equipment and named reefs
Standard equipment does not automatically include a wetsuit, prescription mask or every child size. Ask for the exact item and size, whether it is available on your departure and whether a charge applies. Likewise, a list of famous reefs is not a guaranteed route: confirm the booked program and accept the crew’s route decisions for the day’s conditions. Avoid choosing a trip on a promise of particular wildlife or a fixed visibility distance.
Snorkeling in Hurghada: Questions Before Booking
How much is snorkeling for two people or a family?
Our standard shared Orange Bay, Paradise Island and Dolphin House trips each cost €25 for ages 11+, €15 for ages 4–10 and are free for ages 0–3. Two adults pay €50; with one child aged 4–10 the base total is €65, or €80 with two children in that age group. Hurghada hotel transfers are included; confirm outside-Hurghada supplements for every traveler and any optional purchases. For two adults, the shared-trip total is €60 from Makadi Bay or Sahl Hasheesh and €70 from Soma Bay, Safaga or El Gouna, before optional purchases. Confirm child and infant transfer charges separately.
Which trip should I choose for my first time snorkeling in Hurghada?
Choose Orange Bay or Paradise Island for reef stops plus island time. Choose Dolphin House when snorkeling and the possibility of observing wild dolphins matter more than an island visit. Choose the private speedboat when privacy and a shorter boat program are your priorities. There is no single best option for every swimmer or family.
What is the cheapest shared snorkeling trip listed by Hurghada Travels?
Orange Bay, Paradise Island and Dolphin House are tied at the lowest listed adult base fare among the shared boat options compared here: €25 for ages 11+. Orange Bay with one introductory dive is €30 for eligible participants aged 11+. The private four-hour speedboat is €150 for the whole boat, not per person, for a maximum of six guests. Compare the final hotel pickup, child fares and optional extras before paying.
What do children pay?
On the standard shared Orange Bay, Paradise Island and Dolphin House trips, children aged 4–10 pay a fixed €15 and ages 0–3 travel free. These are the excursion fares; confirm how any outside-Hurghada transfer is charged for your family. Give every child’s age, even when an infant travels free.
Can I come if I cannot swim?
You may be able to join the boat or island parts without snorkeling. Open-water participation is a separate safety decision: tell the operator before booking and the crew before entering the sea. Flotation equipment is not a substitute for swimming ability or supervision. Staying on board is a valid choice, and a semi-submarine offers underwater viewing without swimming.
Is snorkeling in Hurghada suitable for beginners?
Beginners who can swim should ask for instruction, an equipment-fitting check and a suitable supervised stop. Do not assume every reef is calm or shallow. Your comfort, the crew’s assessment and conditions on the day matter more than a tour being described as beginner-friendly. Read our first-time snorkeling guide before choosing.
How long will I be away from my hotel?
Allow a full day for the shared island and Dolphin House programs. Dolphin House currently uses approximately eight hours as its planning estimate. The private speedboat has approximately four hours on the boat; hotel transfers must be allowed for separately. Ask for your own hotel’s pickup and estimated return rather than treating the activity duration as door-to-door time.
How many snorkeling stops are included?
Orange Bay and Paradise Island plan two reef stops, while Dolphin House plans three. The crew may change the reef, order or timing because of wind, sea conditions or safety. A stop count does not guarantee a fixed number of minutes in the water or a particular reef.
Will I definitely see dolphins, turtles or a particular fish?
No. Wildlife moves freely and encounters are not guaranteed. Dolphin House includes a search for wild dolphins, but the trip should still make sense to you as a snorkeling day without a sighting. Never chase, touch or feed marine animals to create a photograph.
Is beach snorkeling the same as a boat trip?
No. A beach or house-reef session depends on the hotel’s access rules, entry point, swimming zone and local conditions. A boat trip travels to selected reef stops and may include an island visit. Check access and supervision instead of assuming any hotel beach provides the same experience. See our shore snorkeling guide.
Are the mask, snorkel and life jacket included?
The listed shared programs provide standard snorkeling equipment; check fit and condition before use. Ask specifically for child-size flotation equipment when booking with children. Guests with prescription-mask or other special equipment needs should confirm availability in advance rather than assume it is part of the standard set.
Are lunch, drinks and island entry included?
The shared Orange Bay, Paradise Island and Dolphin House programs list lunch and drinks. An island visit belongs to the selected island tour, not every snorkeling trip. The private speedboat lists seasonal fruit, water and soft drinks, not a full lunch; Orange Bay is an optional €10 per visiting guest on that product.
How do hotel pickup charges work?
The shared tour pages include Hurghada pickup and list Makadi Bay and Sahl Hasheesh at +€5 per person, and El Gouna, Soma Bay and Safaga at +€10 per person. Private speedboat supplements outside Hurghada require a separate quote. Send the exact hotel, not only the resort area, and confirm the family’s final total.
Can we have a private boat and bring children?
Yes, subject to the operator’s participation checks. The €150 private speedboat accommodates up to six guests in total, with children included in that limit. One guest pays the same €150 base boat price as six. Optional island visits and separately confirmed transfers are extras; this remains a different program from a shared full-day boat.
Is a half-day snorkeling trip available?
The four-hour private speedboat is a shorter option than the full-day island trips. It does not mean four hours from hotel departure to return. Check transfer time and the agreed itinerary in our half-day snorkeling guide and the linked booking page.
What should I bring?
Bring swimwear, a towel, sun protection, dry clothes, a secure bag and any personal medication you normally need. A light windproof layer is useful for the boat ride in cooler conditions. Keep valuables to a minimum and protect your phone from water. Our boat-trip packing guide covers practical preparation.
What happens if the sea is too rough?
The operator may change the route, postpone an activity or cancel for safety. Do not insist on entering the water or reaching a named reef. Ask which part of your confirmed program changes and what alternative or refund applies; a changed reef and an operator-cancelled tour are not the same situation.
Can I cancel or change the date?
Read the individual tour and the cancellation and date-change policy before payment. Check the deadline against the confirmed tour start time and any disclosed non-refundable exceptions. Send requests through the contact details in your confirmation and keep the reply.
Can I add scuba diving to a snorkeling-only booking?
Do not assume scuba diving is included. The separate Orange Bay and diving program lists one introductory dive for eligible participants, professional supervision and equipment. A fare category does not establish diving eligibility. Ask the diving team about screening, your relevant health information and flight schedule before choosing that product.
How do I book snorkeling in Hurghada without an advance deposit?
Select your date and travelers on the linked page for your chosen tour, or contact us by WhatsApp. No advance deposit is required. Pay cash to our representative on the trip day before the excursion begins. We confirm the total in euros before your trip.
Send the trip name, preferred date, exact hotel, adults, children and every child’s age. Include your swimming ability and any essential access or dietary requirements so they can be checked before confirmation. Ask for one written total covering the excursion, transfers and selected extras.
A Giftun Island day trip from Hurghada can combine a named island beach, two planned reef stops, lunch and time sailing on the Red Sea. The first decision is which destination and package you are booking: Orange Bay and Paradise Island are separate choices, not automatic stops on every island cruise.
This guide compares the booking formats and practical questions before you choose. The standard shared options are approximately eight hours overall, with about two hours ashore. Product details checked on 23 September 2026.
1. What does a Giftun Island day trip mean?
Giftun is the island area off Hurghada, while an excursion name may identify a particular beach destination and package. Egypt’s official tourism website introduces the Giftun Islands as a boat outing from Hurghada. For booking, the specific beach named in your confirmation matters.
Our two main shared island choices are Orange Bay and Paradise Island. Each combines a named island visit with reef stops and time aboard. Booking one does not automatically give you access to the other, and a generic “island cruise” description is not enough to establish your destination.
Start by deciding which beach you want, then compare the complete program that takes you there. If a photograph or a particular facility is the reason you are booking, ask whether it belongs to that destination and is available under your package.
This guide helps you choose the type of day. The individual destination, price and snorkeling guides cover their specialist questions in more detail, so you can move from a broad idea to a specific reservation.
2. Choose the named destination and package
For a Giftun Island day trip with Orange Bay, use the Orange Bay boat excursion. It includes the island visit, two planned reef stops, equipment, lunch and drinks onboard, and Hurghada hotel transfers. Approximately two hours is planned at Orange Bay within an approximately eight-hour outing.
The Paradise Island boat excursion also combines two planned reef stops with approximately two hours ashore, onboard lunch and drinks, equipment and Hurghada transfers. Its overall duration is also approximately eight hours. These shared packages have a published maximum of 50 guests.
Both current products describe water activities subject to conditions. Do not choose between them on an unsupported promise that only one includes games, or that a floating aqua park and sofa ride are guaranteed. Confirm a specific activity if it is essential to you.
Use the Orange Bay versus Paradise Island comparison to consider the beach experience. Neither destination guarantees an empty beach, still water or a quieter departure on your date. Photographs help identify the setting but do not establish the day’s conditions.
Orange Bay is one named destination: check that the beach you want appears in your booking.
3. Understand the eight-hour outing
A Giftun Island day trip is not eight hours of uninterrupted beach time. The overall duration includes hotel travel, boarding, sailing, reef stops, lunch, the island visit and the return. Time ashore is approximately two hours in the standard programs.
The exact pickup depends on your hotel and confirmed departure arrangements. Do not use a generic 8:00 AM collection time or a promotional sailing timetable as your own appointment. Save the meeting point and pickup details supplied for your reservation.
The sequence can change. Lunch, the beach visit and the two reef stops do not have to appear in a fixed order. Listen to the crew’s plan and reconfirm the meeting time before leaving the group at the island.
When arranging another activity afterward, leave room for the approximate nature of the return. Tell the booking team about a same-day flight or another fixed commitment before booking; an estimated finish is not a guaranteed connection.
4. Decide how much you want to swim
The two reef stops on a Giftun Island day trip are separate from the beach visit. They are planned opportunities to snorkel from the boat, not a promise of a fixed reef name, swimming duration or particular animal sighting.
Explain your swimming ability before booking and again during the briefing. A first-time snorkeler who swims confidently has different needs from someone who cannot swim. Included equipment and a flotation aid do not turn the excursion into a swimming lesson.
You may prefer to stay aboard for one or both stops. Agree the arrangements with the crew, and ensure an accompanying adult remains responsible for any child outside the water. Declining an activity does not automatically reduce the package fare.
For equipment, reef selection and participation questions, read the Giftun snorkeling guide. Choose your excursion around the experience your party can enjoy, rather than feeling obliged to complete every activity.
Reef stops are separate from beach time. The crew confirms the operating route and swimming arrangements.
5. Plan the day around your family
For the standard Orange Bay and Paradise programs, ages 0–3 travel free, ages 4–10 pay a fixed €15, and ages 11+ pay €25. Include each child’s age and every infant in the reservation, even when the infant’s excursion fare is zero.
A child price does not mean every water activity suits that child. Ask about equipment sizes, boarding, supervision and participation requirements separately. Do not promise children a particular game before its availability and suitability are confirmed.
A full Giftun Island day trip includes travel and waiting as well as swimming. Think about shade, dry clothing, food and how your child handles a long day away from the hotel. Confirm any essential vessel facility or dietary arrangement before booking.
For two adults and two children aged 4–10, the standard base excursion amount is €80. An infant does not add an excursion fare, while an eleven-year-old belongs in the €25 category. Hotel-area supplements and optional purchases are additional where applicable.
Agree in advance which adult will supervise a child who stays aboard or leaves the water early. Crew presence does not replace parental supervision, and another guest should not be assumed to provide childcare.
6. Compare the complete party cost
The base Giftun Island day trip price for either standard shared option is €25 per adult and €15 per child aged 4–10. The useful comparison is the total for your actual party and hotel, with the named destination and inclusions held constant.
Cost item

El Gouna / Soma Bay / Safaga
Published supplement €10 per person; confirm the full party amount.

Purchases ashore or optional photography
Separate unless explicitly included in your confirmation.
Do not calculate a child’s or infant’s transport supplement from the excursion fare alone. Ask how the supplement applies to everyone traveling from your hotel. A clear written total is more useful than a headline price with unresolved additions.
The Orange Bay budget guide and Paradise Island budget guide contain family examples and ticket details. Use the product page to reserve the actual excursion rather than treating an information article as a booking.
7. Shared boat or private speedboat?
A shared Giftun Island day trip and a private boat are different products. The standard island excursions last approximately eight hours and have a published maximum of 50 guests. “VIP” in a product description does not mean the boat belongs exclusively to your party.
The private speedboat excursion is priced at €150 for the whole vessel, with a maximum of six guests including children and an approximate duration of four hours. Fruit and drinks are listed; a full lunch is not the same inclusion as on the shared excursion.
Orange Bay is an optional visit on that private product, listed at €10 per visitor. Confirm the admission total for all ages, transfer arrangements and chosen route. A private Paradise visit requires a separate itinerary explicitly confirming that destination and its admission.
Do not compare €150 with a single €25 shared ticket without considering the guest count and package. Equally, do not assume a private boat becomes suitable for every family simply because the party can share its price. Capacity, access and facilities still matter.
A private hotel transfer is separate from private boat use. If only the vehicle is upgraded, the island excursion remains shared unless the confirmation also changes the vessel arrangement.
General boat photograph. Confirm the vessel category and facilities for your actual reservation.
8. Make the most of your time ashore
When your Giftun Island day trip reaches the booked beach, note the group meeting point and return time before exploring. Allow time to get back without rushing, and keep children with an accompanying adult around the shoreline and boarding area.
Beach swimming and an offshore reef stop are different activities. Follow any marked swimming area and local instructions. Shallow water in a photograph does not establish the depth or conditions everywhere at the venue on your visit.
The standard meal is onboard. If you choose to buy food or drinks ashore, check the price and accepted payment method first. Do not assume all beach services or every photographed seating arrangement is included in your excursion.
Use your camera without blocking access or ignoring the return instructions. A venue photograph illustrates the setting, not an assurance that a particular spot will be empty. If a specific facility is central to your plans, ask about it before booking.
Paradise is another named beach choice within the island excursion options.
9. Check food, access and onboard comfort
Before a Giftun Island day trip, describe any access requirement in practical terms: boarding steps, a ladder, walking distance, balance or assistance. Ask about the actual marina and vessel arrangements rather than relying on a general “suitable for everyone” label.
Similarly, confirm shade, seating and toilet facilities if they affect your decision. Different boats may be used, and an image of one vessel does not establish the layout of another. Ask early enough to choose an alternative if a requirement cannot be met.
Lunch and drinks are included onboard in the standard shared packages. A particular fish dish, vegetarian option or allergy arrangement is not guaranteed by the word “lunch.” Explain the requirement and obtain a clear answer before departure.
If your party includes guests who are uncomfortable with a long boat journey, discuss the full duration and available alternatives. No destination name can promise a motion-free sailing day. Health or medication questions should be taken to an appropriate professional.
10. Pack for the boat and the beach
Bring swimwear, a towel, a hat, sun protection and dry clothing. A dry layer is useful after time in the water when the breeze feels cool. Keep important items protected from splashes and leave unnecessary valuables at your accommodation.
Basic snorkeling equipment is included, but a specialist item or size should be confirmed beforehand. If you bring your own mask or other gear, label the bag and ask where to store it. Keep walkways and boarding areas clear.
Protect the reefs by avoiding contact with coral and by not feeding, chasing or collecting marine life. Keep loose belongings secure and take litter back with you. A photograph is never a reason to damage the environment or leave the agreed swimming area.
Check your hotel’s towel arrangements rather than assuming one will be supplied on the boat. Carry only the optional spending money or payment method you need, and confirm the accepted currency when agreeing to an extra service.
11. Choose a date without relying on guarantees
The operating conditions for a Giftun Island day trip matter more than a promise that a certain month always has calm water. The crew may adjust reef stops or activity order, and a planned water game can be unavailable when conditions do not permit it.
For broader seasonal planning, see the island timing guide. Use it to prepare clothing and expectations, while confirming your departure separately. A seasonal overview cannot establish the conditions on one travel date.
If a specific activity is your only reason to book, explain that before reserving and ask what happens if it cannot operate. An altered activity and cancellation of the entire excursion are different situations, with different options to clarify.
Have an alternative date in mind if your holiday schedule allows it. A date-change request still needs confirmation; sending a message does not by itself move the reservation or guarantee availability.
12. Book the selected beach and keep the confirmation
Send the date, full hotel name, guest numbers and children’s ages when requesting your Giftun Island day trip. Name Orange Bay or Paradise Island rather than leaving the destination undecided. Add any swimming, dietary or access need that affects your choice.
Keep the confirmed product, date, pickup point, collection time, party total and agreed extras. Payment is made when the trip takes place; confirm the payment method and currency. Tell the team if your hotel or guest list changes.
Our cancellation and date-change terms provide a full refund for cancellation received at least 24 hours before the confirmed start, using local time in Egypt. Later cancellation and no-shows are non-refundable. Any disclosed non-refundable committed-cost exception must be stated before payment and in the confirmation.
A date-change request at least 24 hours ahead has no change fee, subject to availability, any price difference and confirmation. If we cancel, including for unsafe weather, choose an available alternative date or a full refund.
Giftun Island day trip: questions answered
Does Giftun mean I will visit both Orange Bay and Paradise?
No. The standard packages visit the named destination you book. A generic island description does not establish admission to both beaches.
Is the whole eight-hour trip spent on the beach?
No. Around two hours ashore is planned within an approximately eight-hour excursion that also includes transfers, sailing, reef stops and lunch.
Can people who do not swim join the same booking?
They can plan to enjoy the boat and island without joining the reef stops. Agree the arrangements with the crew and maintain adult supervision of children.
Are both shared island options €25 for adults?
The current standard adult fare is €25 for ages 11+ on both. Children aged 4–10 pay €15 and ages 0–3 are free, before applicable extras.
Does VIP mean a private vessel?
No. The standard products are shared, with a maximum of 50 guests. Private use needs a separate confirmed product.
Can I choose a particular reef in advance?
The standard package does not guarantee a named reef. The crew confirms the operating route according to conditions.
Is a floating aqua park included?
It is not an established inclusion of these current standard packages. Ask about a specific activity rather than assuming it from an old description.
Will a private transfer make the boat private?
No. Hotel transport and exclusive vessel use are separate arrangements.
Does the private speedboat automatically include Paradise?
No. The listed private option names Orange Bay as an optional visit. Paradise requires a separate confirmed itinerary.
Do infants need to appear on the guest list?
Yes. Include every traveler even when the excursion fare is free. Confirm any transport supplement for the complete party.
Can I rely on a fixed hotel return time?
The duration is approximate. Tell the team about a flight or other fixed commitment before booking.
What if the operator cancels because of weather?
Choose an available alternative date or a full refund if we cancel. Ask separately about changes to individual activities on an operating excursion.
